Exhibit 1 - roach on bed
Jessica R.

This review is basically for the vacationers that are looking into booking the B-10 Condo. In a few words, "Don't." I rated this place based on the disgusting condo issues and not on the spectacular view. If I could, I would give it zero stars and this is why..... We discovered roaches as soon as we stepped in the condo. A little visual for those that need it, Imagine opening the door to a place you'll be living in for the next week and seeing roaches not only scurrying around the floors but on the counter tops and walls. How about carcasses on the bed you were sleeping on. CRINGE! We attempted to report the issue twice and both times we were told that roach motels would be dropped off and that never happened. Not only is this gross and unsanitary but it is also a health hazard. Totally an unpleasant stay for us and a gross experience our children encountered. They will forever remember the roaches and not the lovely turtles we snorkeled with. To the property managers: Shame on you for not caring about your guests and not taking care of the issue. The least you can do is a "DISCRETION," so we the renters can decide if we want to share a place with roaches. Sadly no recommendations from us and good luck to the next vacation renters. P.S. Dropped some pictures to go along with the visual.

I recently spent 6-days on Maui and stayed here. I had a wonderful time and this condo complex was amazing. Private beach. Pool. Numerous outdoor grilling spots. They even have a fresh herb garden for residents & visitors to use. I saw green sea turtles every morning while drinking coffee on the beach. I WILL STAY AGAIN here on my next visit. The landscaping and floral gardens are gorgeous

It makes me sad to write this review, as I've been going to Kahana Sunset happily with my family for a number of years, but it's deserved. We spent Thanksgiving in unit F-11 (one of the beachfront units. It is renovated, however our dishwasher was broken the entire time we were there. We waited multiple days for someone to come fix it (and they couldn't fix it when they finally showed up), and we basically spent the entire trip running into the empty unit next door to use their dishwasher. Not how I planned to spend my vacation. The bigger issue was this: right after my mom submitted the FINAL non-refundable payment for the rental, she received an email about some construction. Upon arrival I was shocked. The beach, which once came up to the level of the patio, now starts about 10 feet below that. The "construction" is to rebuild the beach, which I certainly can appreciate, however I don't appreciate construction noise beginning at 8am every single day of our vacation, and the noise that ensued all day long. (see photos) Notes about the unit itself (F11): renovated unit, granite counters in kitchen and bathrooms, king bed in master suite, queen bed and separate twin bed in 2nd bedroom. Bedding is low quality and itchy, and the 2nd bedroom gets unbelievably hot (no A/C). Shower in 2nd bedroom has river rock stone floor, which while pretty, made my feet hurt. Free wifi, but it only worked downstairs where the router was. Our sheets (in the 2nd bedroom) were also dirty when we arrived, which was gross, but we were exhausted. They were replaced the following day. A few notes about F10: We borrowed the empty neighboring unit's dishwasher for part of our trip. Beautifully renovated kitchen (in love with their blue/gray granite), nice living area, upstairs didn't appear to have been updated as recently as ours. I've always loved this location, but for the almost $4k price for a 2 bedroom unit for a week, frankly I expect more. We did ultimately get a small refund for all the issues and construction, but it wasn't enough. I don't plan to return.

No service!!! 4 nights, overflowing sewage in the unit, cockroaches, no lighting outside the unit at night, no plumber available when our plumbing backed up at 8:30 pm unable to use the toilet or shower, the manager finally sent a plumber around noon the following day. Unit next door had cockroaches, charged for room months before stay, was promised refund for 1 night, never received, uncaring aloof management. We worked so hard to go to Maui and this was heartbreaking. Find a room somewhere else with a nice snorkeling beach that offers maintenance 24/7 and is well maintained. It's worth the extra money you will spend. Not having a toilette is unacceptable!

We enjoyed our stay here. We loved our condo as it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The private Beach was wonderful. We swam and snorkled enjoying quiet time away from the city. I see negative reviews from others who stayed at the Condo... E9 was where we stayed and you can count on us returning.

Breakfast service was noticeably slower, and some of the thoughtful touches we appreciated before -- like the kids club activities and special gestures -- are no longer available. The live music at the pool is also gone, which definitely changes the atmosphere. Pool service was inconsistent as well; we had to flag someone down just to order drinks, and even then the wait was quite long. On the positive side, it was great to see familiar faces still here. Eric is still around the pool and remains as welcoming as ever. The woman who served us at breakfast was lovely and had a wonderful smile, and Jenny at the spa is still here too -- she continues to be fantastic. We'll see how the full transition unfolds over the next 15-18 months.

We often sip n sunset at this outdoor bar beside the Montage pool so we can watch whales frolicking in winter. Service is always excellent and friendly, and tonight wasn't any different. Our waitress did make a mistake on the order but instantly put it right so nicely we couldn't fault her, plus we were left with an extra free drink so what was there to complain about! As it is a pool bar there is a very relaxed vibe so we can visit after snorkeling and feel perfectly dressed :) There is often a musician playing live music too. It is soooo nice to just hang out here at sunset, I suggest you do too!

My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible. When I…read morearrived, there were construction works being carried out directly in front of my room. The noise was so intense that it was impossible to rest. I had just completed a 5.5-hour flight and was extremely exhausted, but I couldn't lie down or sleep because there was constant cutting, drilling, and loud construction noise. It was unbearable. I went outside and politely asked the workers to stop or at least move the work further away from my room, but they refused. I then started recording a video to document the situation and have evidence for a review. At that point, one of the workers approached me, began threatening me, and tried to take my phone. It was a very disturbing experience. I went to the front desk and asked them to stop the situation, but they refused to help. Yes, I raised my voice out of frustration, but instead of resolving the issue, they called the police and made it seem like I was at fault. If you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay, please do not choose this hotel. There is no respect for guests here -- it feels like they only care about money. I struggled to get my refund back and, after a lot of effort, I finally managed to recover my money. I did not even stay there for two hours before leaving. Honestly, when I left, I felt relieved and happy knowing I would never return to this place again. As for the rooms, there was a very strong smell of mold. I did not see visible mold, but the odor was overwhelming the moment I opened the door. The photos make the rooms look spacious, modern, and well-maintained, but in reality, they are small, worn out, and the furniture looks old and used. That moldy smell is something I will never forget.

Snorkeling gear is available if you didn't bring your own. Beautiful coral reefs with so many colorful fish. Stroll along the ocean and enjoy a sky filled with stars at night. Enjoy the garden landscaped with giant hibiscus and palm trees. Gabriel was so nice when he checked us into the room. Love the waterproof wristbands which serve as keys. Thanks for the tips to book a last minute early morning whale watching cruise. Amazing to see hundreds of whales including baby whales learning to breach. The room was simple but cute for a weekend beach stay. Fully stocked kitchen available. Oversized balcony with a peekaboo view of the ocean overlooking the pool and garden. Even binoculars were available for whale watching. Nice perks also included free parking, good WiFi and no resort fees. Fresh towels are available at the office. Studios have air conditioning, but ocean view rooms do not. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay at Napili Bay Beach.

It's the kind of spot that doesn't shout for attention--it just exists in harmony with the ocean, the trade winds, and the rhythm of a life that's beautifully unhurried. Mornings here feel sacred. The scent of plumeria, the hush of early waves, and that first cup of Kona coffee sipped barefoot on your lanai--it's a reminder that life's simplest pleasures are often its best. You look out over Napili Bay, see turtles gliding through turquoise water, and realize there's no need for anything more extravagant. What makes this place special, beyond the postcard view, is its soul. There's an unmistakable ohana spirit that threads through everything--the kind that makes strangers smile at you, that makes staff remember your name. We were in a 1 BR + loft unit on the second floor in Napili. This was needed due to our group arrangements (two teen boys, two adults). The boys slept in the twin beds in our back bedroom, we slept upstairs in the loft with a gorgeous view out onto Honokeana Cove. We could watch sunsets from our balcony and it was an easy walk to the barbecues on the grass area of the lower levels or to the pool(s). We've also stayed in the lower 1br units and they're equally perfect. Donna will help you figure out what you need and get it all booked for you. We rented snorkel gear for the week at the shop in the parking lot next door, which makes it so easy for returns when you're done. Their prices seem comparable to the other chains on the island and they were really helpful in picking out the best size fins for my in-between feet. I highly recommend getting a float belt so you can just float without even thinking about it while snorkeling. We went out in the bay at least three times a day to swim with turtles, fish, octopus, eels...just amazing. Be sure to use the defog that the shop gives you with your rental! We stock up on groceries at costco and the market and then cook almost all our meals in the condo. The kitchen is well stocked with every utensil we would've wanted (except maybe a digital meat thermometer for the time we grilled steaks!) If you do like to eat out, Napili Point is located close to lots of great spots... The beds in our unit were really comfortable, the towels nice and fluffy, the furniture is tasteful and clean and the unit was well-updated. All in all, another perfect stay.
