I've had a lot of sushi in areas of the world that provide excellent sushi (Utah is not generally one of those places). Kahi Sushi is by far the most excellent Japanese food I've had here. The fried dishes (I had Chicken Katsu) is fresh, light and crisp. The sushi combos have clear, clean distinct tastes that don't have the texture of fillers. The green tea is definitely gourmet and tastes mild and earthy. Their service is top notch!! On a whim we found this new restaurant and decided to check it out because I love Sushi. Since NYC, it is hard to find good Shushi in Utah. There is a call button at each table to buzz the server. The inside is clean and wonderful as it is NEW!! The staff is great and friendly with great service. To start we had a spring roll, the way a spring roll should be. Fresh and NOT fried. The taste was epic. We ordered the 15 piece Sashimi combo, Salmon teriyaki dinner and a Vegas roll. The ginger served is the good stuff. Not the dyed ginger. They have a chef made salad dressing that was light and delicious. All of the food tastes wonderful. The fish (Sashimi) was very fresh. The mochi is incredibly delicious. It was wonderful to have the Chef come out and make sure the food as to our liking. Come now before it gets too busy and you have to wait for a seat. I never leave reviews, but this place was very frustrating. Waited 20 min for 3 basic rolls while the guy that sat at the bar after me was served and finished before I even received mine. When I finally got my rolls I was told "I'll bring some wasabi"... why not put the wasabi on the plate, as ordered? Then the server disappeared over with the sushi chef staring at a computer screen. She disappears in the back, I finally go ask him for wasabi. Took him 30 seconds to get but I was left waiting after waiting. Then they BOTH disappear in the back. After all that, the credit machine doesn't work and they have to print a makeshift receipt. Then I have to go back to the server again to ask for my copy. The entire experience start to finish was one of the worst I've experienced. 45+ min there at lunch, with 3 tables being used. No clue how this place is rated 4.5 stars. read more

Finally! An amazing sushi restaurant in Utah County! Thank you fish gods! We celebrated my mother's birthday with dinner here and everything we ordered was off the hook! (that was a pun). We started with gyoza, which was so good, we added another order. The tempura was perfectly crispy and tasty, and the sushi blew us away. We especially loved the BBQ roll and the Snow White roll.
