Favorite sushi spot in town. Love the Shogun, Godzilla, and Rockin' Roll. Also love the seafood yakisoba. Chef always accommodates my annoying requests to remove items from the rolls.

Very underwhelming and bland. Ordered 3 rolls, chicken teriyaki bento box, mix tempura, and fried cream cheese wontons. Ordered to go and it was ready in a decent amount of time. Sauces were very plain and added nothing to the dishes. Chicken was dry and the sauce was spread everywhere because the container didn't have sections. I just expected more from a sushi place.

This place doesn't look like it would have good sushi, which it probably the clue that it is actually GREAT sushi! We ordered takeout of numerous rolls, and they were quickly and expertly prepared. Unlike most of the trash that passes for Sushi in Utah, Oishii makes decent rolls and prepares their rice well.

A very small restaurant that could use some updates - however, don't let that fool you! I've been here quite a few times and always have been satisfied. Here's my review from my most recent experience! We came on a Friday night with some friends a little before 6pm and were seated in a booth. There were quite a few other parties sitting down and enjoying their food. Our server was very helpful and got our drinks right away. The menu is done through a QR code. They have a lot of different options! My husband and I decided to get the Vegas, Marz. Funky, and Samurai roll. I started with a miso soup and we also ordered the gyoza as well. I'll start with the miso soup. I really enjoyed it! It had great flavor, a good amount of tofu and seaweed, and wasn't salty like many other restaurants. The gyoza was cooked perfectly and had the perfect amount of filling. I asked if they were made in house and our waitress said yes. I was impressed! Our sushi came out shortly after looking absolutely amazing! It did not disappoint. The Vegas roll is always our go-to. This one was so good and had great flavor with the cream cheese and all of the smoked salmon on the inside. The Marz was very good. I loved the tuna on top and all the flavors that came with this roll. The samurai was impressive. First time trying it and would definitely order it again. It has such good flavor and I loved the jalapeño on top! The funky was okay but not sure if I would order it again. It almost needed something more but overall is was okay. The portions of the sushi rolls are huge. All of the sushi tasted fresh and that it was good quality. The service was great too. Can't wait to come back soon! Definitely some of the best sushi around.

A solid 4-stars. I'm absolutely a self admitted sushi snob. I will and do travel fairly far for good sushi. There seems to be something about Utah Country generally speaking that we just don't get really exceptional sushi as found in Salt Lake in up north. Oishii was good. It's in a blacked out, unassuming strip mall and we even hesitated before going in but we based our visit exclusively on Yelp reviews and photos and to cross yet another sushi spot off a very long list of them. The food was good, the freshness was certainly there and the only let down for me was we the punchy, diverse but harmonious flavors usually experienced in sushi. I felt the rolls were just a little bland or one note and seemed to lack the variety of flavors usually found in each piece. Our server is as great despite Oishii employing that annoying tactic of wait staff holding the portable device up at the end of your meal and making you pick a tip on the spot, not being able to see your receipt and having you awkwardly tap buttons while your server holds it in front of your face. I hate that. Overall, it was a good visit and my only minor complaint is just that expectation of bold sushi ingredient flavors just wasn't there. As it stacks up against other Utah County spots, it's great!

Oishii is a truly great hole in the wall sushi place. There is a great mix between classics and unique rolls. The fish was fresh and everything was simply delicious. The miso soup was perfect. We loved it. This is a must try spot.

It's a total hole-in-the wall, but has some of the most amazing sushi I've truly ever had. The owner is the masterful sushi chef behind the counter, and let me tell you, he has so much passion behind what he does! I showed up to the bar at peak hours while the restaurant was completely packed and he still took the time to answer my questions and create a special roll just for me to enjoy! Beyond that, the food is absolutely outstanding! The fish is so fresh, flavorful and melt in your mouth delicious. He has created these unique and amazing rolls that have layers upon layers of flavor. It really has ruined me and my simple California roll lifestyle (btw they are BOMB here). I was able to try 4 rolls and two appetizers. Every roll was absolutely amazing but the special roll he made up just for me was the really winner. It can be ordered by saying you want the "Hawaiian roll". It had mango, shrimp, avocado, crab, salmon and was sweet yet savory at the same time. Absolute perfection! We also got the following rolls: the Samurai Roll, Rocking Roll Rolls, & the Shogan Roll. They were all unique and so different from each other! I would recommend every one to try! We also ordered the Tempura Sampler & the Fried Cream Cheese Wantons. They both were delicious and a classic that you can find anywhere! I loved the spiral shape of the cream cheese wantons too! So if you are looking for a new sushi place to try in Utah, you DEFINITELY need to stop by Oishii! It is soooo worth the drive from at least 45 minutes away. The atmosphere could be improved, but the food just blows that all out of the way! Killer sushi rolls, great soup, friendly service, we will be sure to be back again soon!

I can't profess to be a sushi expert but I have been super impressed with the freshness and quality of Oishii. Each time I've tried it things have always been really good. And when I try something new I enjoy it as well. They offer many different rolls and appetizers and bento boxes, etc and also have Mongolian dishes as well. I really like the playboy roll and get it each time. This visit we tried the samurai and the Honolulu for the first time and I would get either one again. Samurai probably above the Honolulu. I look forward to trying more things!!

The lunch special options were not as thrilling as I had hoped but it is definitely delicious sushi. The quality is great and I look forward to returning and trying more dynamic rolls than those that are offered in the lunch special.

I enjoyed the wagyu, ramen noodles, and all the veggies! Eating it with the tonkatsu broth was great, but I also loved dipping it in the sesame and teriyaki sauce. So many different ways to experience it! The cream cheese wontons were also a hit. The appetizers are included in the all you can eat price, so try them! The big downside to Mr. Shabu is that it's so expensive. I would come back all the time if it weren't for the price. You have to do "all-you-can-eat" for the hot pots, and it costs over $30 per person. Because of that, I probably won't return anytime soon and it makes me very sad.
