Ka is awesome and I highly recommend his designs and tattoo. I got my first Bonji tattoo in Japan and wanted to add a lotus to my original piece. I also wanted a new piece on my right arm consisting of 2 new Bonji and a dragon. I found KaHo Inkshop through Yelp and was really impressed with his work. Ka was really responsive and easy to connect with. We had super smooth communication via email to go over the designs that I wanted and decided on the price and date. When I arrived the process was smooth and his tattoo shop is clean and modern. I really like how everything was so simple and clean in design. it is a bright and welcoming place. I reached out to KaHo back around July to inquire about getting a full sleeve wrap around dragon tattoo. At the time I was out of town so we talked back and forth on the idea and setting up appointments. We had the first 3 sessions in October. It ended up being a really big piece because there was a little more mass/skin to cover so he adjusted the design to fit my figure/arm better. We ended up doing another 4 sessions in December (originally November but I had to leave town for a work trip and he was very flexible). KaHo was very good at checking in on me and how the tattoo was doing and even to this day he checks in occasionally. He ended up touching up the rest of the tattoo so that the ink looked more uniform and clean. This was my 2nd tattoo (you can see the 1st one I had was a very small piece on my chest) and it's the biggest piece I've gotten. Normally it might've been a bit nerve-wracking, but KaHo has made this process very smooth and easy to go through. He's extremely professional and without a doubt, a master of his craft. If you're looking for authentic Asian themed tattoos, KaHo is the tattoo artist for you. Last weekend I had my appointment with KaHo, and had such an incredible experience that I needed to leave a 5 star review! As this was my first time getting tattooed, I was honestly very nervous about the process. Additionally, while I had a few ideas of what I wanted (the Chinese idiom, maybe some flowers/ plum blossoms) I didn't actually have a full design in mind. On both fronts, KaHo truly delivered above and beyond. The design he put together was the perfect mix of all the various inspiration photos and design ideas that I gave him, and it was so beautiful that I was instantly excited to have it inked on me. He also provided it a week in advance, giving me ample time to consider if I wanted any more changes. Then, at the studio itself, KaHo took time to size and place my tattoo to my liking, with an eye toward detail (he even brought out a ruler to make sure it was straight!). While I'm sure many tattoo artists would've been as attentive, I firmly believe KaHo must be one of the most careful and dedicated to his craft-- he made sure each part was perfect, and actually scheduled a touch-up with me a few days after to ensure the ink was dark enough given I had chosen a fine-line tattoo. His touch was also very gentle, and despite being worried about the pain, it hurt much less than I expected with no bleeding and a smooth, painless healing process. Finally, I must say that KaHo's studio itself is super gorgeous and truly lent itself to a relaxing, calming environment. It was the best place possible to get my first tattoo! This was my second tattoo and I did a lot of research to find a tattoo artist that does authentic Asian calligraphy/art well. I chose one of Ka's dragons to wrap around my forearm and integrate with my existing hand tattoo. Prior to the appointment, he emailed me a mockup which we discussed a little back and forth. I had two sessions, the first one being 11am-7:30pm for the outline. He took his time to get the sizing and placement right which was a little challenging because my forearm is small and if the dragon was made too small, you'd lose some of the finer details. The second session was 10am-7:30pm and it was tough to get through but I was coming in from out of town and had to leave the next day. I was beyond thrilled with the end result and knew I made the right choices. Throughout the whole process Ka checked if I needed breaks and was very accommodating. I was impressed he worked right through each session extremely focused. The studio is also a very nice setting - quiet, clean, and simple. The tattoo was painful but I was able to be relaxed with the music that was being played. He also used a numbing spray which helped.
