Tracy at the front desk was super helpful with check in and my questions about jewelry and what not. My one feedback and note would be to mention that visitors do have the option to "try-on" jewelry if they are torn between sizes or colors of jewelry because I think some newcomers wouldn't be aware they could do that if it's not mentioned. My friend asked to try a couple of jewel sizes and that was really helpful with decision making. (By try-on, you are just holding the jewelry piece up to yourself and checking yourself out in the mirror :P ) They offer titanium and gold jewelry here. Many beautiful pieces. They also sell saline spray (for $15 if I remember correctly) which I picked up since I was traveling and will be traveling again. Lacy pierced me and she was soooo amazing! She was really through with her explanations and I felt very comfortable with her. Everything went so smoothly and it was mostly painless - only a pinch in the process but no discomfort after the jewelry was already in. My friends and I left with super cute nostril piercings! Highly recommend this studio. Very grateful and happy with the experience here.

"Regarding your wait time, management confirmed it was significantly shorter than stated" - attached are photos at 6:20pm on 4/11/26 aka the time i went in & upon arrival i asked to use the restroom, i took a selfie amongst other pics & the date & time can be found on each one. When leaving, i was asked for my information & to enroll in ur $5 off coupon which was at 8:16pm on 4/11/26. almost exactly two hours, not sure which manager looked into that but i did not randomly chose that number. Consultation - Tabitha asked via phone if i was given the option or made aware of threadless vs threaded jewelry, i was not nor was I given the option between the two. (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Lacy said the piercings could get expensive when downsizing multiple sizes & when custom jewelry becomes a thing (she gave me an example of hers that have a wide flat back) which i understood. I was never told the jewelry on hand would be so flimsy or else i would have left with a spare set. or why wouldnt that be offered if its a known thing that theyre just going to break soon after? "our management team has reached out multiple times" - Tabitha called me on 4/20/26 at 2:03pm post yelp review & asking me to elaborate which i did. she apologized & said she would investigate & immediately followed up asking if i could "take down the yelp review" I initially agreed but im so glad i didnt. All that was asked of me was to pick a date & time & she will have someone replace the jewelry that broke at the el monte location but she would have to call me back & let me know if there was someone at that location who COULD do it & that she would call back. when she called back at 2:38pm 4/20/26 she stated ordering a threaded set would take 6-8 weeks & that she will order my downsize. we agreed on that solution & hungup. Then 4/28/26 Tabitha texts me & there was no solution so we could agree on so thanked her & left it at that (screenshots attached as well) "waived fees" - crazy cause you guys swear this is something special. when i get my nails done & one breaks theyre quick to fix it FOR FREE & not keep reminding me that breakage could happen nor badgering me that IM at fault for it/knew the risks. Theres no fee to waive if i want to put the jewelry in my own face for free which you guys denied me of because u didnt want to mail them to me. "we offered appointments at our other locations with free parking lots" - text attached of Tabithas convo but she definitely stated STREET parking, exactly how the LA location is so.. not sure where the "Convenience & Options" were. sorry it came to this Leo, maybe ask both sides next time instead of just listening to one.

Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

I was definitely giving toddler energy by kicking my feet and asking questions and she totally entertained every second of it. We talked about movies, tv shows, travel, music, etc. The conversation totally helped distract from the pain and before i knew it the session was over. I thought parking would be tough, but i went on a Saturday afternoon and found parking relatively easily a block away on Lake Shore Ave. The quality of work is top notch and my tattoo came out exactly as i wanted it to. Strongly recommend!

He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.

James Spooner at Monocle couldn't have been a nicer artist to work with. What attracted me to Monocle was that they're 100% vegan. Being a vegan myself, I prefer to work with and give my money to other vegans. Knowing they won't go turn around and buy a hamburger with it feels better. After my dog Kansas died, I knew I wanted a memorial tattoo of his face from a photo I took. I sent James the photo along with some other tattoos for reference of what I wanted it to look like. He drafted up a sketch and spent 3+ hours with me as I got my first ink done. Being very personable and friendly, he made sure it didn't feel as long as it actually was. I would recommend James and Monocle to anyone looking for a tattoo, especially if you're vegan. He does great work!! read more

I rrecently got tattooed by Kristen, she was so polite and didn't waste anytime getting my sister and I's tattoos ready , even though we didn't give her much notice. I was amazed how artistic she made our simple designs, she opened us up to a whole new way of looking at our designs while still respecting our wishes and not making us feel stupid for what we wanted. iam definitively coming back to her! thanks again Kristen!!!! they look great!!!! also we had several people ask where we got them!!! read more

I highly recommend Jorell! i came in with somewhat of a challenge, I needed a cover up on my forearm. He freehanded it which definitely takes a real artist! Jorell is so talented and meticulous. The detail is insane and i couldn't be any happier! I have been getting tons of compliments. I definitely coming back for my next one, I'm only sorry I didn't find him sooner for some of my earlier tattoos. Go, you'll be in good hands! I only have used George for my own tattoos (8 large pieces and a chest cover up). I love the way he works. I give him my idea of what I want, location and general size. And he will sit with me and do the design while we make modifications together. He always makes her. I am completely satisfied before we start. So here is how it went I got a consultation, and was quoted…read more3k for a roughly quarter sleeve forearm tattoo. This is hollywood so I figured they would try to scalp me, ended up paying 2k for a slightly smaller tattoo. Which listen, for the quality of the work, whatever. Price aside, Im sure I got gouged but whatever. I got there and everything was good, except super heavy handed and he kept bottoming out every single needle he used, just constant "brrp" and no change what so ever, at the time I did not realize this is why my arm was chewed the f up. Looking like hamburger meat. I sat for roughly 6 hours, could have probably done more but dude was super heavy handed and Im sure the needles were hooks at this point. Waited a month to finish the last like hour of the piece. HERE IS WHEN IM JUST DONE, dude set up, had his ink all over his gloves, did not change his gloves, was touching everything dude, everything. He used an old marker to outline what was left, who knows how many people he used it on, keeps bottoming out the needle, and he is sick and wiping his nose on his wrist constantly, I sat for 45 minutes max, and did not allow him to touch up more than just what he had to finish, I asked he even used numbing spray, and when I tell you, this guy said he has a soft touch, dude was riding the tube, Im talking the entire needle was gone into my arm, just super super heavy handed, and he brags he has a light touch. NOT TRUE. And he does not say a word, just seems pissed he has to be there for a free touch up, like dude I already paid you 2k, anyways I ran the hell out of there after talk about a tip, I was agreeable cause this dude just seemed hella irritated and I do not want the confrontation, Im already pissed I have to heal, point is 1 month and 1 week in, the original parts of my tattoo are still healing, they swole up and looked like someone just sat with a hammer, hammering my forearm, and the touch up part looks like its scabbing really bad where he used his old sharpie to outline my skin. Did not realize all these red flags or you best believe I would have never let him touch me or even pay an absurd 2k for like 6in tattoo. Whatever man, the art is nice, love the tattoo, hated the experience all together. Im sure there are good people here, but I do not recommend you go see Paul. Maybe he had some kind of anger towards me cause I rejected some of his ideas or idk, point is, bad bad bad unhygienic and super heavy hand and dont forget the constant bottoming out of his needles, tattooing with hooks bro. Do not recommend Paul.

He doesn't use stencils because he draws the design directly onto your arm, envisioning and visualizing the perfect piece in his head. My jaw literally dropped to the other side of earth when I saw the product from marker (not stencil) to the actual tattoo. His designs and ideas use your references and he custom makes a 1:1 piece and design that will literally exceed your expectations. Another note: he let me eat a lot of his white rabbit candy besides it tasting good, I needed something to bite hard on in the painful areas I'd rate this 3 billion stars out of 5. They don't mess around with sanitation here as far as I've seen. Procedure: 10/10 For my first tattoo, Dan walked me through everything I would need to know from what kind of pain to expect to the multiple stages of what I'll be seeing throughout the tattoo healing process. He gave pointers on tattoo care and did everything like a professional. Skill: 10/10 If you're looking for great work, design, and a keen eye for organic shapes or asiatic design, Dan's the man. He draws everyday, so I'm kind of not surprised by his expertise. And if for some reason there's something he's not good at, HE WILL LET YOU KNOW instead of using your body as an experimental canvas. Story time: I made an appointment with Dan (Danny), paid the deposit, showed him my tattoo design ideas weeks prior to getting inked. When the appointment day came, I showed up on time, he walked me through the process, and did one final review of the tattoo before we proceeded. Walked me through the process again on what to expect and we proceeded to get me inked. Really pleasant experience getting my first tattoo here. 10/10 would go again for more tattoos TL; DR Seriously Great Experience. Ultra clean, both the location and the work.

I was worried that…read moreit was going to be hard to make the lines so delicate and thin, but Danny did it, and in less than 10 minutes too! It turned out exactly how I imagined. I was so impressed with his line work and he even did some light stippling around the stars, which was a nice touch to make them pop. Overall, my experience with Danny was great. We're already planning my next tattoo. : ) He's super communicative during the entire process, professional, creative and versatile.
