She walked us through all the options at different price points in a way that felt completely neutral and respectful. There was no subtle steering toward something more expensive. It genuinely felt like whatever we chose was the right choice. Ivy, my piercer, was incredibly thorough and precise. I really want to stress how pleasant and painless this piercing was. I am talking pain level 0 out of 10. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP. She is extremely clean in her process and talked me through every step so I always knew what was happening. Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

It's $10 for the post and $5 for the piercing disc. Whenever Chontel isn't there, Lara is there, and she is also just as amazing and insightful as Chontel! Usually, the piercers are there from opening time until 8 pm, but you can always ask or text them to see if they are in for that day!

My friend and I were looking around for a tattoo shop for our first tattoos. We walked into Oni…read moreTattoo on Saturday and Sam @tatt.chi was able to take my friend. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.

I have been hankering for a pedicure for a while, and not just any pedicure. I wanted something…read moremore therapeutic. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

James Spooner at Monocle couldn't have been a nicer artist to work with. What attracted me to Monocle was that they're 100% vegan. Being a vegan myself, I prefer to work with and give my money to other vegans. Knowing they won't go turn around and buy a hamburger with it feels better. After my dog Kansas died, I knew I wanted a memorial tattoo of his face from a photo I took. I sent James the photo along with some other tattoos for reference of what I wanted it to look like. He drafted up a sketch and spent 3+ hours with me as I got my first ink done. Being very personable and friendly, he made sure it didn't feel as long as it actually was. I would recommend James and Monocle to anyone looking for a tattoo, especially if you're vegan. He does great work!! read more

I rrecently got tattooed by Kristen, she was so polite and didn't waste anytime getting my sister and I's tattoos ready , even though we didn't give her much notice. I highly recommend Jorell! i came in with somewhat of a challenge, I needed a cover up on my forearm. He freehanded it which definitely takes a real artist! Jorell is so talented and meticulous. His hand was as steady as a surgeon's, and the line work is unbelievably crisp. I can't stop looking at my hand tattoo--I love it! I only have used George for my own tattoos (8 large pieces and a chest cover up). I love the way he works. I give him my idea of what I want, location and general size. And he will sit with me and do the design while we make modifications together. He always makes her. I am completely satisfied before we start. Story time: I made an appointment with Dan (Danny), paid the deposit, showed him my tattoo design ideas weeks prior to getting inked. When the appointment day came, I showed up on time, he walked me through the process, and did one final review of the tattoo before we proceeded. Walked me through the process again on what to expect and we proceeded to get me inked. Really pleasant experience getting my first tattoo here. 10/10 would go again for more tattoos TL; DR Seriously Great Experience. Ultra clean, both the location and the work.

I was so impressed with his line work and he even did some light stippling around the stars, which was a nice touch to make them pop. Overall, my experience with Danny was great. We're already planning my next tattoo. : ) He's super communicative during the entire process, professional, creative and versatile.

This place is located in a very tourist-heavy part of Hollywood, so just be prepared for that…read moreenergy when you're heading over. It can definitely feel busy and chaotic depending on the time of day. I didn't end up going inside, but I did call ahead and they were extremely prompt and responsive on Yelp, which I really appreciated. They informed me that tongue rings are $20 for the jewelry alone--not including the actual piercing--so it's something to be aware of before making the trip. Parking is a bit of a question mark since I didn't fully experience it myself, but given the area, I would expect it to take some patience. One thing I will say is that I do like that they stay open until 2 a.m. It's nice knowing there's a late-night option if you're ever in an emergency situation where you absolutely need a tongue ring. That said, if it's not urgent, I would probably just wait and go to Brown Pride the next day instead. In the end, I decided not to go due to the pricing, but I did appreciate the quick communication and late-night availability.
