Kai Lounge is such a cute spot with a modern, upscale vibe in a great location. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were really well made. I'm surprised it was packed but better for us. We had fast service! Perfect place for a date night or girls night if you're looking for good food and chill vibe. They also have a speakeasy but I didn't get a chance to try that yet.

Overall (3.75/5) A solid Asian fusion restaurant in a mall location that deserves more traffic than it gets. First Impressions (3/5) This was a repeat visit. Despite good food and location, the restaurant is rarely busy, which is surprising. What We Got (3/5) Oysters Beef udon Sushi rolls Taste and Quality (3.5/5) The beef udon was rich and flavorful. Sushi was average. Oysters were noticeably small compared to other places. Service (3.5/5) Friendly but could be more attentive. Space and Atmosphere (4/5) Nice lighting and a comfortable space located between two lively areas of the mall. Was It Worth It (3.5/5) Fair pricing for the quality, though not standout. Final Thoughts Good for casual dining if you are already in the area. I would return, but only when nearby.

The food was fantastic -- 10/10! We definitely recommend going with the omakase. They were super cool and accommodating when we asked to skip one specific type of fish, which we really appreciated. The quality and quantity were both great for the price. The appetizers are a bit on the smaller side for what they cost, but the drinks were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Overall, awesome experience and we'll definitely be back!

I was craving sushi but can't eat it bc I'm pregnant. So all the things i ordered are pregnancy friendly. Started with the edamame. Has sweet chili sauce to it and a good amount. Blue crab hand roll - i think it would taste sooo much better if i didn't have that garlic butter in it. Or maybe they just put too much of it. Really takes away the taste of the blue crab Baked salmon roll - the cream cheese really bothered me. It tasted funky. I think it would be better without it. Japanese miso cod - wow this one was definitely the best. Next time would only order that. It was delicious, flaky, and flavorful. Service was good. Kind of dead here...

Loved loved loved the ambiance. Ian is the best bartender making sure we are always taken care of and that we get all the best suggestions in terms of drinks and food. The burger was delicious and the bun tasted like a warm croissant. I'm very thrilled with my first experience here. Thank you Ian! We appreciate you

The first time I came here during opening week, it was packed, and I thought, "Okay, this is cute" but it didn't immediately make me want to go again. Fast forward to yesterday--Sunday lunch at 12:30 p.m.--and the place was emptier than my social calendar after a breakup. Vibes? Off. My mom immediately asked me, "What's wrong with this place?" and I told her, "Oh, it's still early. It'll pick up." It didn't and Mama noticed. We were the only people in the entire restaurant. The food? Decent. The sashimi was chef's kiss--fresh and tasty. The cooked food? Eh, better luck next time- "You're just doing too much." If you come, definitely stick to the sushi and sashimi; they've got that down. Simple. Beautiful cuts. Fresh wasabi. As for the price, prepare to pay like you're dining oceanfront--except there's no ocean in sight. The space is gorgeous, service is great, but you're mostly paying for the Pacific City zip code and the view of... I think the Pasea???? Final verdict: Beautiful bougie decor perfect for the Gram, good sashimi and sushi but don't expect your wallet to leave happy. Im not sure what it is about Kai but... it just felt off. Overall, maybe bring your Ex's credit card because I wouldn't want to front this bill on my own.

Fusion restaurant with relatively affordable dishes and good vibe. We came here for lunch on a weekend, it wasn't crowded at all, the interior is pretty with flowers from ceiling and artwork. They have lots of seating inside and outside. My fiancé and I got the green tea old fashion, meszal old fashion, pork belly fried rice, sashimi roll, and watermelon salad. Cocktails (7/10)-surprised that they weren't that sweet, but still get strong flavor of alcohol. Pork belly fried rice (6/10)-rice was soggy but the flavor of pork belly was good, lots of veggies which I appreciate Sashimi roll (7/10)-not the best I've had but give you a good amount of sashimi for $20 Watermelon salad (8/10)-surprised that the combination worked so well, the fatty pork belly goes with the fresh and sweet watermelon, would have to make this at home next time Overall not the best dishes but vibe is pretty, next time I'll try coming back for dinner.

We had the best time here! Our waitress was the sweetest human ever, so friendly and attentive. The drinks were delicious, the sushi was fresh and full of flavor, and cooking on the hot rock was such a fun experience. The decor is simply stunning, modern, unique, and beautifully accented with the gorgeous flower display. We can't wait to go back!

We came to Kai Lounge on a Friday night and it was saurrrr empty -- was def not expecting it to be that empty LOL. My friend & I made reservations just in case it was busy, but was not needed. The food came out pretty quick and the drinks the server recommended was so good. I'd rate this place a 3.9/5. I've had better sushi elsewhere but this place was pretty decent :-) I also lovv how they offered real wasabi -- most sushi spots don't offer real wasabi so I was quite impressed seeing that ! I also really liked how the interior was aesthetically pleasing -- has lots of potential.

OH my God everything I try here is better than any other sushi places that I've been before !! This Japanese sushi place is beyond my expectation. The food is delicious and the view is beautiful . Thank you so much Jason !!

We dropped by for lunch on Saturday no reservations needed as we were one of the first ones there in an empty restaurant. The ambiance and decor is nice with picture perfect blossom tree and a pretty couch with floral wall at the entrance, and Murakami artwork on the walls. I can see this place becoming more busy in the evening. A few people dropped in took a look at the menu prices and walked out. It's an expensive lunch. It's not authentic Japanese cuisine it's more fusion. The sushi chef is also not Japanese. Our party of four ordered: Hamachi crudo - good Watermelon salad - good Japanese black cod - good Jidori curry noodle - fair, it's spicy with peppers Spicy garlic noodles - good flavor garlic and spice Shiitake mushroom chicken noodles - fair but too salty All the noodle bowls use the same noodles but different sauces. Huntington Beach cut roll Hash brown cut roll This place is on the expensive side $$$ for lunch would be nice for an evening out with friends.

Right off the bat, minus one star for the fact that the Mixed Tempura had a full slice of lemon that they battered and fried and I bit into unknowingly and had to spit out. The rest of the tempura plate was nothing to write home about either. The batter was not the light airy kind. All of the tempura was overcooked and dark colored. The dipping sauce was heavy on the soy sauce. On a happier note we discovered a new favorite being the Cod Nigiri requested seared. It seems to be Black Cod, and has a nice buttery sauce on top. Speaking of butter, the Edamame has butter on it, but that causes the other toppings like the garlic not to stick. I suggest they omit the butter and use roasted garlic puree to stick better, like I've seen other places do. As usual we loved the hash brown roll and ordered it without any modifications. My wife who normally doesn't like seaweed, agreed that at this place and on this roll the seaweed is nicely delicate and not chewy. We also ordered the snow crab Nigiri that we like but now that we discovered the Black Cod Nigiri, that is our focus from now on. The crispy rice spicy tuna was great as usual. The Echigo rice lager beer was fine but next time I'd get the Orion beer. One big disappointment was that they no longer do discounted wine on Thursdays. I wonder if they even participate in Wine Wednesdays. Also their corkage fee is a pricey $25. Nevertheless my wife got their Chasing Venus Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine, and this time it tasted fresher than last time. So she was happy. The service was great.

Luckily for us, 3 Petals took those wise words and said "hold my champagne." We gave 3 Petals team a large task of 270 guests, a moody romantic theme, picky eaters, quality drinks, amazing food, and a floral chandelier that made us gasp. Not only did the team understood the assignment, they handled all of it without missing a beat. We can't talk about 3 Petals without talking about the staff. And we have to start with Ashley, because she deserves every thank you we could give. As our POC for the entire year leading up to the wedding, she was an absolute sweetheart from start to finish. Every email answered promptly, every question, no matter how small, was met with patience and clarity. It felt like planning a wedding with a friend who genuinely wanted our day to be perfect. Ashley truly set the tone for what the entire 3 Petals experience would feel like, and that standard carried through every single interaction with their team. The venue staff as a whole are warm, genuine, and flexible. You can tell they actually love what they do. The venue itself is a true blank canvas. We wanted a moody, romantic theme and 3 Petals team suggested maroon draping. Game changer. It completely transformed the space and gave the room a warm and intimate atmosphere. The team provided extra lighting to balance the moodiness of the room and made sure our linen choices tied everything together perfectly. Their in-house rentals are fairly priced, their florist team is incredibly talented, and the floral chandelier they created was honestly more stunning in person than anything we had imagined. Since they have established relationships with so many local vendors, coordinating everyone was smooth and stress-free. Now the food. We need to talk about the food because this is where 3P truly shines. Many of our guests were from families of great cooks. We are talking picky Asian moms and aunties who will absolutely let you know if something did not meet the mark. Every single one of them complimented the food. This was the highlight of the wedding for us. We went with Signature Menu 2 and swapped the first course for cocktail hour bites, and that decision alone was worth it. We had tried the cocktail food at our tasting and knew immediately it was going to be a hit, but the actual wedding night confirmed it. Every single item was amazing. The curry shrimp was juicy and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of curry flavor, served on a crispy bite that had the most satisfying crunch. The halibut ceviche was a fresh, beautifully executed Asian fusion take. And the filet beef cubes were tender, soft, and seasoned so perfectly that every single bite felt intentional. And those were just the appetizers. Dinner raised the bar even higher. Our front runners from the moment we tried them were the twice cooked short ribs and the steamed sea bass, and they delivered on the wedding night exactly as promised. The short ribs fell completely off the bone and melted in your mouth. The sea bass was incredibly fragrant and cooked to perfection. The soup was delicate yet packed with generous amounts of shrimp and crab, and they did not skimp on a single thing. And the lobsters with garlic noodles? Bomb! All our guests raved about these dishes. The compliments did not stop at the wedding either. Weeks later, guests were still bringing up the food unprompted. That speaks volumes about what By 3 Petals puts on the table. Our guests really came for the wedding and stayed for the drinks. The full top shelf bar meant every cocktail actually tasted like a cocktail. No watered down drinks, no flimsy plastic cups, just well-made cocktails served right. The venue went above and beyond by helping us craft his and her signature drinks. It was a small personalized detail that got people talking all night and made the bar feel like part of the experience rather than just a table in the corner. Venue by 3 Petals is truly the full package and one of the best decisions we ever made for our wedding. Thank you 3 Petals Team for the best night of our lives!

Zach, the bar manager/bartender, is the MVP and made sure our specialty drinks came out exactly the way we wanted and was there on our wedding day as well. A huge plus about this venue is that they do not have an endless list of rules like the other venues we toured. And yes, they pour real, actual shots in a shot glass for our guests and us for the wedding. Venue checked off all our boxes for what we were looking for, and they have a great sound system as well. The linen selection was extensive, but we opted for classic all-white linens, which complemented the elegant setting beautifully. The service was impeccable. Ana and Bryana were not only responsive, professional, and incredibly accommodating, but also genuinely kind and authentic, a quality that extended to the entire staff. They ensured that everything ran smoothly, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The water and tea pitchers were always full, plates were cleared discreetly, and the overall hospitality was second to none. The food was exceptional, our guests couldn't stop raving about it! While everything was incredibly delicious, the Waldorf salad, fresh vegetables, warm rolls, chicken and cookies were particular standouts. It's almost impossible to find a meal of this caliber for just $30 per person, making it not only a beautiful event but an outstanding value. Logistics were effortless. The club's entrance was easily accessible, parking was a breeze, and the staff even allowed me early access to set up table centerpieces and our photograph table. Set-up and breakdown were seamless, handled efficiently and professionally. If I had to describe this experience in one word: EXCEPTIONAL! The level of care, service, and quality provided by Mile Square Golf Course exceeded every expectation. I am so grateful to have chosen them for this special event and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a truly elegant, stress-free, and beautifully executed gathering.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue. From the very beginning, Jamie went above and…read morebeyond to help coordinate my son's 2nd birthday party. It turned out even better than I could have imagined. Planning a party can be overwhelming especially with my son's theme being a bit challenging but Jamie was able to help make it happen in just a few weeks. She was incredibly organized, attentive, creative, and always willing to help with every detail. The party was a success! She's very experienced in party planning and works closely with many vendors she can refer you or recommend. All my guests had a great time but most importantly the kids had so much fun. I honestly could not have done it without all her help. Her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a special event. I like that they have the outside patio great for food vendors and extra space for additional seating. If you're considering having a party here, you will be in good hands. Thank you, Jamie and your team at Xo Event Space for making my son's birthday so memorable!

Our family recently celebrated our son's HS graduation party at XO Lounge. We had a wonderful…read morebeginning-to-end experience that included incredibly responsive, thorough, and professional communication with Jamie--the main contact in charge of booking, planning, and operational oversight. On the day of the event, Hope, Hai, Lola (bartender) and the remaining staff were unbelievably helpful, accommodating--and integral to our efficient set-up and smooth execution of a successful celebration. XO Lounge is a very posh venue with modern décor. The nightclub vibe and setup provided the core foundation--that minimized decorative needs for our graduation-themed event. Our event hosted approximately 150 guests--that we comfortably housed in the smaller nightclub event area. Despite opting out of seated dining, our area easily accommodated our guests with the use of the booths and lounge-style sofa set-up for central-space seating. We still had surplus space leftover--that was allocated for the dance floor and bar area. The nightclub further opens into an enclosed courtyard--allowing for additional cocktail tables, bar stools, and lounge-roaming for our guests. Our party featured a standard photo-booth setup with an 8-ft props table--as well as a 360-spinning video-booth in the front entryway lobby area (just to the left of entrance). Our 360-video-booth included an inflatable enclosure--that successfully fit in the entryway alcove. Our rented XO Lounge space features a stage with a floor-to-ceiling TV-grid. This large multi-screen TV--along with dozens of TVs lining the entire room-walls--cycled a slideshow of our graduate's photos throughout the evening. XO Lounge further features a full PA system, DJ plug-ins for surround sound (you must provide your own DJ/music/equipment), full nightclub equipment (e.g. spinning disco-ball light machines, fog machines, laser strobing, etc.), full bar & bartender staff, etc. I LOOVED that XO included all the needed tables of various lengths and sizes--with fitted fabric *tablecloths* included. Fabric tablecloths may seem like a minimal feature, but fitted cloth coverings elevate a sophisticated aesthetic while alleviating the patron from the added costs for these supplies. Hope oversaw our function and was so attentive--always offering to help with literally *anything*--to reduce stress for the hosts (I really appreciated that!). The venue was surprisingly affordable--with a nominal outside-catering fee; the staff were professional and delightful; and the party space and outdoor-courtyard areas fit our guests, photo/video-booths, food vendors, Welcome table, Sweets table, and largescale Balloon Arch. XO Lounge features one-stop-shop booking and planning services for all party needs, (i.e. catering, decoration, DJ, photo-booth vendors, etc.)--though we did not partake of these additional offerings. Hosting an event on this scale is stressful (IYKYK), but this venue and staff minimized the stress and streamlined our experience for a fantastic celebration. Our family would definitely book with XO lounge again for future event planning needs--and would highly recommend to our friends, family, and others. Our guests had the BEST time; and we had a GREAT PARTY celebrating our newest grad!
