noodle sushi combo plus charashi bowl
    Zoila N.

We usually do take out but today tried dine in. It wasn't busy and the hostess was still very attentive. Charashi bowl was good as always. The noodle soup and roll special were both huge portions. I appreciate the california rolls were adequate and not skinny pieces. This place has always been consistent with fresh fish presentation and deliciousness. That's why we've made it our go to sushi place.

Really great sushi. Have been here on multiple occasions. Service is always nice and quick. Sometimes the servers take a while but not too long. The inside is small but designed well overall very great sushi spot and the miso soup is very flavorful. The salmon roll is amazing with lots of different flavors.

Came here around 5:40pm last Saturday and were seated right away. The place was packed by the time we left. We had dined here or bought takeout many times before because of their proximity and value. Service was always friendly. The food quality and taste was just average. I had the grilled mackerel bento. Unfortunately, my fish was burnt and it was quite small. Miso soup was very bland as well. The salad, gyoza, tempura, California rolls were fine. It's a lot of food for $20! My husband liked his spicy tuna roll and crunchy roll combo, and our daughter enjoyed her Orange special roll. Our 3 other family members each got a beef teriyaki bento, which was their goto option every time. Until next time!

    Stinky and Sunrise Rolls

Had a craving for some loaded sushi rolls and came across Orange Roll on Yelp. Their menu has a good variety of non-traditional sushi rolls, along with regular rolls, nigiri, and appetizers. We got these rolls: - Sunrise - spicy tuna, avocado, shrimp tempura inside and peppered albacore on the outside - Stinky - imitation crab, avocado, cucumber inside and albacore, fresh onion, and garlic butter on the outside. This one was our favorite. I enjoyed have the garlic butter on the outside. I haven't seen a roll prepared like this before! - Midnight Sun - imitation crab, cream cheese, avocado inside and baked salmon on the outside. Since it's baked, this roll is served warm. This one is richer/creamier since it has the cream cheese and no raw fish. My only complaint would be that there are a lot of gnats inside. We had to keep swatting them away from landing on our sushi. Other than that, we enjoyed the food!

Seafood Ramen and California Roll - Noodle Combo

Having grown up with Japanese food, I'm often not one to go out of my way for it, but I'm glad I gave Orange Roll & Sushi a try on a rainy day. The greeting was a tad awkward and slow, since I visited during the middle of the afternoon. The seating environment was very woody, and the lighting was just enough to neither be dim nor bright. After sitting down, I ordered their Noodle Combo (Seafood Ramen) with California Roll, not expecting much at this price point. After all, I just wanted a quick bite. To my surprise, the seafood ramen had well-cooked squid and mussell - and even a fair amount. The ramen could have been instant, but the texture was amazing, too. The California Roll was rolled with perfection. The avocado, cucumber, and imitation crab were tucked so perfectly. The fluffy rice hugged them with a layer of seaweed, and every bite was like a delicate bite of rice with the most perfect portion of entrees.

Food: Amazing and consistent compared to other Orange Roll & Sushi locations. The service was a little on the passive side. The decor and ambiance does feel more like a sushi restaurant than the Anaheim location but I will still go to other locations over this one. Be aware of the closing hours. It says 9:00pm but I saw a customer come in at 8:30pm and the customer was told that they were closed.

Had a meeting nearby and figured this place would have good lunch specials! They ended up having all day combos for $15. The combos come with different variations of rolls and soups! I got a plain udon and California roll. The soup was really flavorful and the cali roll didn't disappoint. The prices were great and they even had teriyaki and bento bowls for good prices. Food was good and the servers were super attentive. If you want to stop in for a quick bite at an affordable price check this spot out!

    Chirashi Bowl
    Adrienne P.

Orange roll never disappoints. I've ordered many chirashi bowls at different restaurants and their's is one of my favorites for the price and quality. The fish is fresh and they season the rice with sesame oil and furikake so yummy! The perfect lunch if you're looking for something that isn't heavy. This time it came with toro that was oh sooo buttery and soft, a huge bonus because no one ever puts toro in their chirashi!!! The service is always quick, attentive, and the staff is always very friendly. This location used to be Harima, I've come here since I was a toddler and I'm now 27...It was tough to say goodbye, however, Orange Roll has done a great job of upholding a reputation of great food, service and ambiance. Thank you to the staff for always making it a great experience we continue to come back for.

Casual sushi spot with big fish pieces and very fresh! I had: 1. Himalayas roll - spicy tuna, cream cheese jalapenos. One of chef's special rolls 2. Orange roll - salmon, avocado, cucumbers 3. Sashimi: yellowtail and salmon 4. Soft shell crab

The sushi was good. The service was okay but felt like they didn't really check in until your ready to pay. The place looks good and has a good amount of space.

Before we've come to this place before and liked it so much that we were back. It's a casual inexpensive sushi place with great specials. The decor is simple but definitely Japanese inspired. I really love the chalkboard menu with pictures. We weren't terribly hungry and just needed a snack to curious over to dinner, so we got a couple of sushi (spicy tuna roll and salmon skin roll) and an appetizer - - mixed yakitori. Just as I had to remembered, everything was delicious.

    Sandi I.

Been going here for years! The food is consistently amazing. I always forget to take photos because the food is half eaten before I remember. Service is quick and friendly. The miso is savory and delicious with plenty of tofu. All the rolls are wonderful. The tempura is crispy on the outside and Dunn just right on the inside whether it's shrimp calamari or veggies. Dipping sauces just right. This is a family friendly local place. Our go to family gathering place. The only thing it lacks is a sushi bar.

The Zarusoba was good, but it would be nice if they gave a bit more sauce for dipping. I also got a Sashimi Salad, which had a lot of sashimi! It had salmon, tuna, and a white fish. Pretty good, but it could have used a little more dressing as well. The Combination Plate with Salmon and Tempura was enjoyable. It comes with a piece of salmon, a variety of tempura (shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato, onion), side salad, miso soup, rice, tempura sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Salmon was cooked well, and I liked all of the tempura! Their Lunch Specials are originally what caught my eye, but it seems like they don't have anything similar for dinner. Instead, everything is a la carte with the exception of a few combination plates. I wish they would do dinner specials similar to their lunch specials! Parking here is pretty difficult. The lot gets packed with several cars circling around hunting for a spot. They're also going some construction right now which doesn't help. Grilled Eel, $3.60 prior to tax- My husband and I split this one. I really liked the eel and also the sauce that was used on top of the eel. My husband also really liked this one. Fried Oyster, $3.60 prior to tax- I decided to order this one but it was topped with a spicy mayonnaise that I thought was a little too spicy for me (again, I am not a spicy eater). But I must agree with other reviewers on certain aspects. The nori is very soft and chewy. It's not separated from the warm gohan itself. So if you're accustomed to onigiri with crisp nori, you will be disappointed. Depending on which kind of omusubi you're getting, I also agree that it may definitely feel like there's a lot more rice than the filling. I usually get the mentaiko, ebiten, and oyster musubis. I feel as though those are actually consistently good. The saltiness of the fillings really offsets the amount of rice included and makes it work. My other favorite flavors are takana and shiso. The two goes perfectly well with the karaage they sell separately. Another thing is that the rice itself is actually seasoned and not plain, which helps. Chashu and other fillings like eel has been a miss at this location. Same with their tuna and salmon offerings. I must admit I'm especially not a huge fan of their tuna offerings. It uses too much katsuobushi flavor in my opinion. I like mine more mayo forward. The service here can be a hit or a miss. It really depends on who is working there and what time/day of the week it is. Same goes with the availability of seatings. Parking is free but can be a hassle to find a close spot because of the proximity to the gym, superchargers, and other businesses.

The salad came with a neon pink dressing that was a bit sweet. The salad wasn't properly dried, unfortunately, as there was a pool of water at the bottom. Though some pieces of the chicken was a bit dry, the bed of cabbage underneath soaked up some of the juices and glaze, compensating for the lack of moisture. The Cali Roll was packed and a solid side to the meal. - Rainbow Roll: Though it had large cuts of fish, it unfortunately was not the freshest I've tasted, and also not very tightly rolled. - Crunch Philadelphia Roll: Though not as tightly rolled (it fell apart slightly when I tried picking up a piece), I appreciate that they didn't skimp on the cream cheese. My favorite sushi so far from the 3. The food was prepared quickly, and everything totaled about $42-45, which I thought was reasonable. They have a few minor things to improve upon, but I can see this being a place college students can get food to-go between classes or even shopping patrons dining at for a decent meal.

I was given a pager by the friendly fellow at the counter and my meal was made in less than ten minutes. I sat and ate in the clean, comfortable food court. The pork was good quality, very tender, with a crunchy panko coating. The rice was done perfectly and the omelette on top was delicious with a buttery taste and soft texture. Tokyo Shokudo's menu is pretty vast and includes a wide range of Japanese comfort foods. From rice bowls to udons and sobas, they've got it all! I went with their Pork Katsu Curry Udon. It wasn't particularly good, but it wasn't terrible. The katsu filet had a nice crisp to it and the curry udon was comforting. It didn't particularly wow me as I've had better elsewhere, but it was perfectly fine. A small note is that I think the bowl was a bit too small for what it was. I found myself really trying to dig deep to reach the noodles. By the time I got to them, it felt like a lot of the curry had already got soaken up. I think as an udon dish, its components could've been more well rounded.
