Got tickets to check out this water resort. It was very cool. There are a ton of Africa themed water slides. There were so many different (interesting) slides I've never been on in my life. There were a couple that were kind of funnel like. My ultimate favorite was this one meant for strong swimmers that was just a one person slide that ended up in a funnel that plopped you into a 7ft pool. There were two hot tubs. The one hot tub that went from the inside to the outside. There was even an adult pool with a sit down bar in water. Outside of the water park, there is a ton of restaurants to check out. There was also a build a bear and other shops. There is even a convention center, hotel, laser tag, zip liner, and spa for people who may not like water parks. read more

We booked for one night at Kalahari and I'm glad I did because of a situation I will touch upon later. When we arrived the check process was simple because if you pre-register you can go to the self check in kiosk. I definitely recommend doing that to avoid the regular check in line. The whole place is cashless and everything is charged to your room or card. The water park itself was nice and roomy with a decent amount of rides. They also sell day passes and you do not have to stay in the hotel. Although, one or two rides was closed when we visited the main ones were at least open. They have a wave pool, lazy river, basketball hoops, and lots of slides as well. There is an outside pool play area that included hot springs/spa for the older adults. Although I seen younger kids in there, there no restrictions like other places. Like many other water parks the food was really overpriced, 60 dollars for a Pizza pie with a one drink, that is crazy. We did not try the buffet either but it was offered. They also have other activities such as tree top adventures on the premises. Now on why I was glad I stayed for one night. The room was a typical 2 queen beds with a sofa bed. For the most part it was clean but my family pointed out some stains on the sheets. I guess maybe some grease stains were not able to wash off easily. I only slept there for one night and the next day and the proceeding days I had a terrible back pain. The bed was soft and had no support so my back was messed up for a couple days. My warning is be careful of the bed and if you have back problems its not going to be good for you. You might end up with back pain like I did during your stay. read more

All resort staff very nice and so helpful. Slides were great and lines not bad. It seemed they did not have enough workers though as children were deciding when to go on their own. One yelled at me to go. Several workers were working more than one slide. Towels are a hassle. If you dont return them all you get charged $30 a piece. At the end of both days we were short one towel. We had them all day until the end. Had to go around looking for an abandoned towel so we wouldn't get charged. The charge encourages ppl to take other people's towels and they suffer. Lockers... I was unknowingly trying to get into a locker that wasn't mine. I mixed up the number when I put it in my phone to remember it. Girl came.over and opened it for me. She changed it to my wrisband and left before I could say this isn't mine. I could have taken everything. I tried to call after her but she just kept walking. Hope the other ppl got into their locker. Very nice room. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Only issue was checkout. 2 working elevators. Housekeeping everywhere. Hard to walk down the halls with all their carts. They start knocking on your door 15 min before checkout. Heard some people waited 20 min for elevators. Not enough carts. Ppl took elevators going up just to get a spot on one. Stopped on every floor just to see frustrated expressions. First timer to kalahari indoor waterpark. We booked a resort and it was good .. rooms were spacious and very comfortable . Cost of the water park is a little more than all other parks . May be worth just once . Good and other things are very expensive inside .. Waterpark wise , it was good. We loved the wave pool all the rides were good . Kids loved it . Janeil (sorry I'm unsure of the spelling) at the front desk was wonderful. Truly accommodating and helpful. I took a star away because they went cashless, BOOOOOO!! Then there is only one kiosk in the lobby that will allow you to put cash on a card. Not a fan of this cashless thing. There is also a 200 deposit. You have the choice of paying on your card as you go, or getting a bracelet that you can use to pay instead. We opted to pay as we went. I think they need to rethink this cashless thing it was really causing hold up at the front desks. Granted there were also many check in kiosks. But you must pay everything on a credit card. The room key is in a bracelet you're given for all guests. Food is very expensive as well as drinks, typical of these types of places but still wish they'd take cash instead. Definitely go eat at Double Cut, it is pricey but worth it. Dianne was great! They are family friendly as well. We went at 7 and this seemed to be a good time. Wasn't very busy. Zanzibar grill was ok, again pricey but decent for lunch by the pool. I deducted another star because the chlorine smell is too much. It was burning my eyes. Fun indoor waterpark, a bit too crowded though the line takes a while (30min+). Best time is 10-11am or after 8pm when there's less people and you can get on rides in 10-15 minutes. Avoid weekends since it gets too packed! Weekdays might be better with less people. Some slides are quicker with shorter wait, like the ones you'd bring your own tube up. Cheetah Racer is also fun and the line goes quickly since there are 4 lanes. Be ready for a water splash in your face when you get to the bottom though! Barrelling Baboon also gets you all wet. The spa bar at Paxton is pretty cool too, adults only. Service is extra slow though since the bartender is so busy. Expect a good wait for your drink. The service fee is also included in the check there! My friend also tried the surfing flowrider and the wait was an hour+, so expect to wait a while if there is a line (estimating each person taking 5 min at least to get on do their 2-3 min ride and sometimes an extra trick before they get off). Overall a great spot for families :) you can get a elephant cup for $18 with unlimited soda refills. The refill station is by the inside arcade area at the cafe/food area, worth it if you fill it up more times. read more

This place was a very well experience the food was great slides were fun and everything but one thing I noticed was as the day and night went on the workers were rude blowing their whistles in your ears screaming at you and looking miserable if I had to give someone advice about this place it would be to go during the day and turn in about 4:30-5. Another issue was several slides and other things broke and left me and others waiting in lines for 30+ minutes to just have to go back down to the floor level this place was a solid 7.23/10 experience. read more

Came for a cheer competition and decided to come early to be able to enjoy the park. I wasn't that familiar with this place but boy this is the place for the kids to enjoy themselves, I'd want to come during the week while school is in session, and let the kids play hooky, and enjoy themselves. We arrived on a Thursday and it wasn't that packed, kids were able to do the watersides multiple times with little to no wait time. They played just about everything several times in the arcade (which is very similar to Dave and Busters, with reloading your card, earning tickets, checking your balance, etc.) They also have packages for you to purchase at the arcade which include tickets and adventures for the kids like laser tag, bumper cars, human pickers, bowling, and something else, some things were an additional cost. We didn't purchase the food package but instead opted to hit Walmart and buy a few things for breakfast, water, and a few snacks. There are 3/4 restaurants here, my favorite was the steak house. That steal was cooked to perfection and was flavorful. The Mexican restaurant wasn't bad and the kids loved the burger joint, I could've done without it, but the kids were happy. There was a market that was an all-you-can-eat spot but for the price, it wasn't worth it for our family. There's a Starbucks inside which stayed packed but doesn't accept Starbucks cards or rewards. Right behind that is the sweets treat store that sold ice cream, candy apples, cotton candy, and different chocolate desserts and doggy treats. We had a room with 2 queen beds which was fine for the 4 of us. It also had a pull-out couch. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. There is plenty of parking available, if you have a lot of stuff get a cart, unload the vehicle, go park, and hike back up. Once there, if you don't have to leave then don't. We saw an obstacle course and mini golf but it wasn't open while we were there. Friday, was when it started to get packed and there started to be mini lines in the water park but Saturday seemed to be the day everyone checked in and the lines for the slides were very long. There was something for everyone, from babies to seniors. This is a fun, expensive, family vacation that isn't that far from Philly. We did end up getting souvenir cups that were free to refill for the kids, we did the same for popcorn but it was $2 to refill. For adult beverages, they have souvenir cups for $32 and to refill it was $26. The bartenders were awesome and the drinks were even better. Now while there we noticed a little girl lost and a family relentlessly trying and help her find her family. I can say this is a spot where you just may lose your child for a moment because they are having fun and notnoating attention. But with all the parents there, someone is watching and we're not trying to go home with more kids than we came with but eventually the family found the little girl. The girl's Mom had told her if she got lost to stand by one of the animals in the Waterpark and they would find her, which was why when we asked her to walk around with staff to look for her mom she was adamant about not leaving, so smart. But this is a great place for you to spend time with your family and it doesn't have to be a kid thing. I saw plenty of adults living it up like they were kids without kids just having fun. Food is expensive and drinks but I would say the drinks is worth the price since it's not weak it's a good amount of alcohol in your adult drink. Food was pricey for nuggets and fries. My family and myself enjoyed ourself. The lazy river, water slides, RV slide and kiddie area and wave pools was excellent. Review is for the water park only. This claims to be the largest indoor water park in the US and it is quite big. I like that they have attractions here for all ages, big slides for the adults and big kids, wave pool and splash pad for the little kids and an area for babies and toddlers. I was grateful to have a place for my 10 month old son to splash around without fear of older kids knocking him down. The water is nice and cool, something you don't often find at heated water parks. Usually the heat in these places makes me sick but I did alright here. There's tons of food and drink options (though I did not partake) and even ample seating. Normally I can't find anywhere to sit in these places. Overall I like it here, and if it weren't for $90 tickets I'd come back more often. read more

Do NOT go to Kalahari!!!! They are severely understaffed, resulting in my son's violent beating while protecting his daughter. They beat him mercilessly in front of his 2 children. The result? Kalahari removed them from the property & NO justice or jail time was given to the 2 assailants! They let them go!!!! In the meantime, my son has severe head trauma, many broken bones, stitches in his nose & will require facial reconstruction surgery when the swelling goes down. Kalahari & police worked together to make the surveillance videos unavailable to us. I want justice for my son but it won't happen in Monroe County ! read more

From a family member - We were staying at Kalahari Resorts - Poconos this weekend and this evening there was a sickening situation that happen here. A worker was standing at the top of the area where the kids slides and play area were pleasuring himself. When the two very young children came down to tell their parents, they immediately alerted workers who shrugged them off and said "what do you want me to do". Security came and took the man to their office and proceeded to tell the parents THEY had to call the police, the resort. After someone spoke to the manager at the hotel they also stated that they cannot call, the parents had to. The parents were told the resort would not and has NEVER refunded anyone their money. Multiple workers were around when this was said to the manager about what happen and acted very non chalant like it was no big deal. After saying to the manager the police say they are here all the time, it was said it's never their workers but people visiting. Yet there was just a worker arrested here last week for soliciting a 13 year old girl. The fact that so many staff just awe no big deal when you work somerhere that is tailored to kids and there's a very large event going on here sickens me. Clearly child safety is not their priority. Keeping their resort to appear "good" is. I don't know how a human being can just brush it off. Please DO NOT ever visit a Kalahari establishment ESPECIALLY the Poconos location. This is just so disturbing. Please share this so that this disgusting incident is spread and there children can be kept safe from this place! read more

absolutely disgusting! bed bugs, dirty rugs in rooms, poor service. not worth the price of the stay and what they "offer" the staff was respectful and understanding but management is the worst. it is not a place you would bring your family. after informing management of the bedbugs they asked for proof! we provided images and video and staff member reported seeing in our room as well. and still management needed 24 hours to investigate. overall the resort is very dirty. rugs are dusty and and look like they haven't been vacuumed. read more

I'm only giving two stars because of the way the front desk treated, talked to me and with me. If you want to skip my complaining just read the last few short paragraphs explaining my experience staying there. My experience at the front desk... we were there for Champions Force Cheer competition, we had a great rate because of it, and my mother had insisted on paying for it as a Christmas present for our family. I submitted the approval form, received an email that it was accepted and approved, I called the day before to double check, I was told everything was done. We get there late Friday night, about 10:00pm. I couldn't use the kiosk because of using a card not on my person, so I waited in line for about 30 minutes. The young lady who helped me spoke broken English, and after giving her my information she informed me, I needed to pay for the room. I explained the situation, she just replied that the computer doesn't show it, and i showed her the emails, she said that doesn't mean anything, people were waiting in line, and I could pay or go to the back of the line. I asked to see a manager, she said there isn't one, so you need to pay or get out of line. I explained I'd waited patiently for 30 minutes watching her help others for long periods of time, she can focus on me now and help me. It wasn't the fact there was a mistake and that I had to pay for it, it was her attitude and rudeness. I paid the room fee, we were exhausted from our four-hour drive after a long day of work/school, which should have taken only two but for weather and traffic, I'd deal with it the next day. The next day I talked with a person named Jack at the desk, showed him the emails, he did take the time to look, but oh well can't find anything, nothing they can do, no one they can call, no manager to talk with. I decided I'd deal with it after the weekend. I didn't want to spend the entire weekend trying to find someone... ANYONE... that could explain exactly what happened, perhaps fix the issue, and possibly be polite about it. Upon arriving home, I sent in my review and the issues I had, a Jose Rosario reached out to me and said they forwarded my issues to management to be addressed so hopefully no one else experiences what I did. Reading the other reviews, it doesn't seem like a one off. It was nice to get a response but cannot change the past. If I had paid the normal rate, which is around $400-$600 a night and had someone talk to me like that, things would have been very different. Maybe because we were paying the Champion Force Cheer rate, they looked at us as third class citizens, who knows? The water park was great, very impressive, kids loved it. There is a phenomenal diner (Pioneer Diner) about two miles away, the best breakfast diner food I've had (we live in NJ and have tons of diners). I'd recommend that over the breakfast buffet. For four people you'll pay half the price for amazing service and even better food (breakfast buffet would have been $99 for two adults, one 13-year-old and one 11-year-old. If you don't want to spend the money inside the resort, there are tons of places to eat and a Super Walmart a few miles away. If you go, hit up the diner, I promise you'll love it. The rooms were good, beds were comfortable, 6th floor water pressure was good. The vent had a rattle in it constantly when the air was on, but we use white noise at night, so it didn't affect us, and its winter so it didn't need to work hard to keep the room at 70. The summer might have been a different problem. If you are remotely handicapped, it's going to suck unless you have a wheelchair or something to get around. Plenty of parking but expect to walk a good distance and make sure you don't forget anything in your vehicle. No handicapped spots unless you utilize the valet, and they are in no hurry. The elevators were very crowded in the morning and evenings, be prepared to wait a while. They're fast but it's a huge place and a lot of people there. If not for the experience I had at the front desk upon arriving and the next day, I'd have given it five stars. Shit happens but being treated like shit at a place you're paying to stay, that's unacceptable. Will I go back? Only if my daughter has a cheer competition there again and we get a cheer competition rate. I'm not paying $500 a night, it's not worth it, to me anyway. For that money I'll flay down to Orlando and hit up Seaworld and Universal, or I'll just stay in Jersey and utilize my season passes for Great Adventure. For half the price of three days in Kalahari I can buy 4 season passes and 4 season flash passes (or whatever they're calling them this year). I could see myself driving up just to hit the water park up for the day though, I have to admit, it was impressive. read more

I was charged $1,000 for supposedly breaking the TV after staying just one night -- which is completely false. I never touched the TV. I checked in at 1:30 PM, spent 10-15 minutes in the room just to put my son's medication in the fridge, and then we were at the water park until 9 PM. We came back to the room around 9:30 PM to shower, then left for the 24-hour McDonald's, returned at midnight, and went to sleep around 12:30 AM. We woke up at 9:30 AM, had a quick breakfast (just bread), and checked out at 11 AM to return to the water park. At no point did we even touch the TV. When I called to ask about the 1,000 dollar charge (of which I had to call since I saw that on my credit card without any notification), they were incredibly rude and insisted I caused the damage. This is absolutely unfair and dishonest. Do not ever stay at this hotel -- I strongly warn others to avoid it. What a terrible experience. read more

While there were a few positives, the number and seriousness of issues we experienced at Kalahari Resort Poconos far outweighed them. My family and I stayed for one night, from 12/10-12/11/2025 and paid a premium for a two-bedroom suite, the VIP package, and a buffet package--expecting a high-end, seamless experience. Unfortunately, that is not what we received. To start on a positive note, the Concierge service prior to our arrival was excellent. My son arranged a birthday package for his wife that included balloons, a cake, and a Himalayan Salt Spa treatment. Everything was set up in the room as promised, though her name was misspelled on the cake--a small but avoidable detail. Upon arrival around 3:00 PM, the Concierge was pleasant and informative; however, we were immediately told they would be closing soon. This directly contradicted the resort's own VIP package advertisement, which states Concierge services are available from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Additionally, there was no turndown service, another amenity clearly advertised online. We were also informed that the buffet--part of the package we paid for--was closed due to low occupancy. Instead, we were redirected to Cinco Niños for breakfast. This was disappointing, as the buffet was chosen specifically for its variety, especially for our grandchildren. Paying for amenities that are later withdrawn because the resort isn't fully booked is unacceptable. One bright spot during our stay was Sortino's Italian Kitchen. The host and server were excellent, the portions were generous, and the food was good--though very expensive, which is expected at a resort of this type. Overall, our experience at Sortino's Italian Kitchen was enjoyable; however, one issue stood out after we returned to our room. We realized that the gratuity had been calculated based on the total bill including taxes, which is not standard practice. Tips should be calculated on the pre-tax subtotal, and this resulted in us paying more than expected. This was disappointing, as everything else about the visit to Sortino's Italian Kitchen was pleasant. I'm sharing this feedback so the restaurant can review its billing practices and ensure greater transparency for future guests. Unfortunately, the issues continued. The suite itself was outdated, lacked basic modern conveniences such as USB charging ports, and most concerning - the televisions did not work at all during our stay. Keeping children entertained without working TVs was extremely difficult. When this was reported to the front desk, the concern was dismissed without resolution. The pool was uncomfortably cold, two water slides were closed until late afternoon, several restaurants were closed during lunch hours, and the arcade was both overpriced and poorly maintained, with many games not functioning properly. Overall, it felt as though guests were penalized because the resort was not at full capacity. Amenities were reduced, services were cut short, and concerns were brushed aside--despite the fact that we paid full price for a premium experience. Given the cost and the number of shortcomings, this stay was not worth the money. Sadly, I would not bring my family back to this resort, nor would I recommend it to others seeking the experience that Kalahari advertises. read more

We were a party of seven. Half of our wrist bands didn't work and had to be replaced. The breakfast buffet was mediocre at best. The pastries were stale and dry. The one shining light were the pecan sticky buns, they were amazing. We rented a cabana on Saturday. They no longer come with water in the refrigerator or towels in the cabana. We saw the attendant once around lunch and then again as we were leaving. It was a complete waste of money. Dinner at Sortino's on Saturday night was good but not great. Breakfast on Sunday was the worst. Stale bagels and moldy cinnamon buns. Everything is now ordered on kiosks and cash is NOT accepted. Went for a day trip to the waterpark with our toddlers. THE WATER WAS FREEZING. Lazy river water and basketball pool were bearable. Kiddy pool areas (where we hoped to spend our time) were FRIGID and we couldn't stay in. It was torture for my children and I am not being dramatic. Both of my kids' lips were purple and they were shaking the whole time. My 3 yr old refused to go in the gorilla splash area because it was too cold. My 2 year old was crying that she wanted to go home. Spent a lot of money to see a neat space that they couldn't enjoy at all. So disappointed. read more

We booked for a one night stay (Friday to Saturday) for my son's birthday and it was a blast! Got here early on Friday (like at 9am) and the valet told us to just go at the desk to preregister and check if maybe our room was ready - regular check in is at 4pm. We did just that and it must be our lucky day because our room was ready. We parked closest to our entrance then put our luggage in the room before heading to the waterpark. I was blown away on how big the place is. And being there on a weekday, there wasn't a lot of people so my son was able to enjoy the slides, us too! There were so many slides for the littles ones to try and he was so happy! Everything in the resort was expensive so prepare for that. Room - it's very spacious. There's a fridge and microwave. Plenty of closet space. It's dated so I hope they'll renovate/repaint soon. Will definitely be back sometime after the summer season is over because it's more affordable. read more

BEWARE OF BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! we just went on 10/24/2025 and went to a room on the fourth floor. I ALWAYS check beds when I stay. They had bed bugs. We told them. They " upgraded" us to a two bedroom suite on the other wing of the motel. Tell me how the beds all had blood stains on them!!!!!!! That was four different beds with blood stains on the corners of the beds!!!!!!!!!! When we brought it to their attention and ask to leave we were only given a partial refund when THEY WERE AT FAULT!!!!! We are now driving two hours home because I won't be in a room where there is blood stains all over the beds!  Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money. I will also be posting this on multiple platforms so it wont be deleted and I am contacting the better business bureau!!!!! read more

I don't even know where to begin, should I start with getting bit by bedbugs that the "specialist team" says didn't exist. Or getting transferred to a room where housekeeping never checked the pull out couch, so the sheets were dirty from the previous guest. Or the fact that my "treated clothes" didn't seem like they were treated at all (since all the new items with tags were still intact). No compensation was offered, but they did offer me some arcade cards. This was hands down the worst night of my life!!!!! This is not what I would expect in a room that's over $800 a night. It's a fun place for kids to have a great time but be prepared to spend. Lol, everything is overpriced, and some staff is accommodating. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean, which is nice. I guess that's because they have rules about eating in the rooms. So no one wants to get charged extra . We misplaced a cell phone at the desk, and it was a disaster to locate the phone because the staff that was there at the time wasn't when we returned for the lost phone. I asked one of the co-workers if a phone was given to her or if someone turned one in, to which a simple NO and she walked away no can I help you lost and found this was nothing, abrupt just like that. Came here for a 1 night stay. We arrived on a Monday and checked in at 6pm the check in process was super easy. We were able to get a little over an hour at the water park. It was late so there weren't many ppl and lines were short. The waterpark is not cheap but we expected this. The large locker is $30 the drinks I felt were decently priced : beer, margarita and piña colada were about $32 - not terrible. The drinks were great! We liked the fact that we were granted access to the park on the day that we checked out. You don't need to physically check out- the bracelets no longer allow you back into your room after 11am which was fine. We grabbed breakfast at the Starbucks- my only complaint was that my egg white bites were cold when I bit into it. Other than that everything went smooth. The lines for the slides moved quick. There's so much to do for babies to adults. The cholorine smell is intense. We have all been sneezing and coughing since we left the resort. But I guess that's best sanitary wise. But be prepared for burning eyes! I like the fact that they offer a family shower room. I was able to go in there with my kids and shower before heading home. The Arcade was also fun. I purchased a $75 card with 300 credits that kept the kids entertained. My kids had a great time and I look forward to returning in the future. read more

Honestly a really fun weekend stay. No bed bugs - we always check hotels. Breakfast buffet was pretty good although pricey. Everything is very pricey. Beds were kinda uncomfortable. We brought our 6 month old and he really enjoyed the water park surprising to us there was a small baby section and we found spots here and there to take him in and splash. Some lifeguards were weird about a life-vest for him even when being held the whole time and then another life guard explained when being held or in the swings he doesn't need one. Who knows. But if you have a really young baby maybe research can and bring a vest you know will fit. Otherwise there are plenty of life jackets to use read more

My 8 year old son wrote this review: Kalahari is a really fun water park and hotel! In my opinion, if you are ages 3-40 the rides at the water park are designed for you. Some rides include Victoria Falls which is a fun family ride, The Smoke That Thunders which is good for people who like crazy and Wild Wildebeest which is fun for people who like only a bit of crazy. My favorites were Kenyan Korkscrew and Barreling Baboon; Kenyan Korkscrew just goes around and around but Barreling Baboon drops and goes into a barrel three times. The hotel room at Kalahari was pretty big and overall I liked the room because it was spacious, there's a big tv, and the beds were big.The hotel wasn't the cleanest because there was a lolly pop on the floor and there was a little bit of makeup on my bed but on the other hand I loved coming to the hotel room after the water park just to relax. Kalahari is awesome because it has a really positive atmosphere to it, the water park is really fun, and I had fun exploring the Poconos. read more

Everything is revolving around taking your money. This is not a resort. It's a water park with hotel rooms. Everything is overpriced. Alcohols 28$ to buy a refill cup 21$ to refill. Beers 9$. All food drinks are over priced. All you can eat buffet is 26.99 per person. 360$ a night for rooms plus what ever food you eat. The tab grows if you don't pay attention. read more

The worst experience I ever had the high average temp was 68 during my stay which led to me and my kids getting sick because this genius of establishment couldn't figure out to raise the temperature of the water as outside temp was dropping. Don't take your family here it's overpriced and a waste of time you are better off going to Wolf lodge. read more

As I stated to the manager... as consumers/ guests we are owe transparency and clarity when it comes to booking reservations and receiving special promos. My family of 5 has been coming here for 6 years and every year it gets worse...this place was wonderful when we started coming here but every year we come it gets worse and worse. The water park is great for the kids! I will give them that... this is only the second time we have been here and everything in the park is open, something was always broken or under construction. This year we brought another family of 5 with us and it's embarrassing that we told them how great it is and now it has turned into nickel and dime stealing at every corner. I get that they have to make money and it's a resort but 18$ for a burger at the restaurant and fries are a 3$ upcharge? 9$ latte and whip cream is 1$ extra. After covid the food went downhill here and has continued to do so. If we decide to come back next year we will probably have dinner off property. Also when you take the kids to the kids casino downstairs you buy a card with the game credits...you pay 3$ for just the card with nothing on it and then load it. I've made comments each time and the staff laughs and just says we know it's rediculas. read more

We had an absolutely wonderful stay the hotel and whole resort is beautiful and very well clean. We stayed in the big five absolutely gorgeous with amazing amenities. We also booked the private world. Pool cabana was beautiful as well. The food at the waterpark I would say is close to like a concession food. It wasn't bad and it would definitely do for waterpark food. I didn't get the opportunity to eat at any of the actual restaurants besides the buffet for breakfast so many great options at the buffet. My only major issue with the whole stay was there was a couple instances where it seemed like I was being stereotyped. The first instance was at the front desk when I was upgrading my wristband for our late check out the gentleman working the counter did not believe that we were running the big five he looked at me and my husband and said you have the big five next instance was at the buffet. The woman at the counter said to me you have nine children which I had my daughters as well as their friends. She said to me, please realize that typically over eight guests you should be paying gratitude in advance. I stated that we were fine with whatever we had nine children and two adults. The food was good, but we also left a $50 tip and it seemed like the people watched us the whole time thinking we wouldn't tip. My husband and myself own for businesses we may not be your picture of business owners or business class because we have tattoos and a lot of kids, but we work hard and we enjoy taking our kids to beautiful places. Again, overall, the place was wonderful. The kids loved the waterpark as did me and my husband. We will definitely go back the big five is wonderful. It's basically your own little home. My kids had such a great time and I've learned over the years that people aren't always g going to believe I belong certain places don't really care what they think we hope to come back and maybe some of the employees will be trained a little better on stereotyping. read more

I spent a fortune to take my wife and 18yr old and her two friends for two nights. Our first day my wife and so had a couples massage. The massage was so, so. The guy that did my wife's massage grunted the whole time. The women the took care of us and after the massage took us to their relaxation room. Whirlpool, sauna and Steam room. She took us back, gave us a drink. We hit the hot tub, and I went into the steam room. A woman was on the right bench, I sat on the left bench. There was two cut outs at the base of the bench I found out later. It's where the steam gets blasted out. It burnt my leg, I swore. The woman freaked. I left. The woman that took care of us came in. I told her what happened. She said, let me talk to my manager. She came back and said do you want to see EMS? I said, I work EMS. She said okay. Never saw her again. My wife and I went to leave the Spa, I told her what happened, she said, oh no. So sorry. No sign of the manager. I came home wrote an email to the manager of the Resort and Spa. They said we will investigate. The Spa Safety wrote back and said it was safe. I had showed them my burns, the woman at the Spa saw my burn. They blew it all off. Hold them accountable!!! read more
