This past Saturday, my friends and I drove to Orlando for a jazz event, but we decided to stop at Kalalou Signature for dinner, and what a beautiful dining experience it was. First, let me say the decor is absolutely exquisite. Chef Mario Peters advised us to try the six-course meal package that everyone should experience to me Each course was rich in flavor, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. Oh, and my Tequila Sunrise? Absolutely delicious. I definitely need to come back to explore more of the delicious dishes at this gem of a restaurant. The experience rated 10/10, great service, good food, and amazing ambiance.

My mom and I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Kalalou Signature during their soft opening, and it was nothing short of incredible. The chef: Mario Peters crafted a stunning sampler menu that beautifully showcased authentic Haitian cuisine, blended effortlessly with refined European influences. Each and every dish he brought out told a story: bold, soulful, and comforting, yet full of fresh, unexpected twists. The flavors instantly transported me back home, while also letting me explore an entirely new world of Haitian culinary culture. The balance of tradition and innovation was masterful. (The pictures don't do them justice) From the warm welcome and ambiance to the impeccable service and remarkable attention to every detail, Kalalou Signature is easily one of the most exciting new dining experiences in the area. I can't wait to return and see what else this talented team has in store. I give them a 10 out of 10, just make sure you are ready to experience a sampler meal.

The salad looks beautiful, but it's just lettuce and tomato and some cheese!

Half of the things on the menu they did not have and the service was horrible! ((due to lack of employees!) but the restaurant is beautiful and it's a good vibe going on! Maybe I just went on a bad night!

Food was good., love ambiance and the music. Service was okay. The table floor was dirty, never got a drink menu, server was very slow. Definitely would recommend to try

Food was ok never realized it was Haitian Food. Didn't have what was on the menu. Service was not so good. Diana seemed like she was under staffed. Never got the drinks from the bar so we got beer. Didn't honor the Happy Hour time. It was just a really bad dining experience. With more people and professionalism it could be a great business. I'll visit again next year. Good luck.

Enjoyed every meal. My favorite has to be the snapper and the rice. The plantains weren't to thick and came out nice it crispy. Let's talk about the drinks though. Every single one we tried was great. Andres was so attentive and very drink he suggest was perfect! He even gave us some bday shots! The restaurant is clean and everything is well kept. I would say there are too many chairs at the bar on the outside making it challenging to get in and out. I suggest removing one.

This place is amazing !! You feel like you've traveled across the ocean and landed in some authentic Ghanaian town! The black rice is delicious and if you want to take it to the next level ask for some ox tail sauce to pour on top. The Snapper is not cheap but worth every penny , cooked to perfection . The best appetizer was the fried pork! Thank you Josh for the great service ... everything moved smoothly! And the drinks were delicious and had the right kick of alcohol thanks to Andres! Would recommend this spot to anyone that wants to get out of the Disney wheel and have some great real food! Good music too!

They have a very limited selection of food and when we were there they don't have couple foods on the item. So it makes it even hard to pick the food you want to try. The service was ok not the best. The drinks were ok, they give you like a mountain of ice to your drinks so you know what I mean. I wouldn't want to go back again. The food were good but was disappointing on some food were unavailable.

This is the first upscale Haitian restaurant that I have been to in Orlando and I loved it! The restaurant itself is beautiful. There's inside seating and outside seating where they host events and live entertainment. They also have a private room for parties. The food was 10/10 and so were the drinks. The only thing I would say is the service was a little slower that expected but they are a fairly new restaurant so that's probably expected. Definitely will be coming again!

Very pretty drink! Thank you, Andres!

I enjoyed my whole experience at Kalalou. The restaurant's cleanliness and meticulous upkeep were noteworthy. I savored every dish, especially the impressively sized fish, which transported me to the seaside with its impeccable texture and preparation. The selection of drinks was equally delightful. Andres' attentive service and spot-on drink recommendations enhanced the experience.

I normally don't trek out to this area, but every once in a while I do... and when I do, I notice…read moremore and more Haitian restaurants. Having lived in Haiti, I truly enjoy Haitian cuisine and know many of the dishes that this unique Caribbean nation provides. Anything fried is better when Haitians fry it. Case in point: gryot. Gryot is none other than deep fried pork chunks, however, this pork rivals the 11 spice secret recipe of the Colonel. If you know how to make gryot, and you can count, you may go over 11 spices. For this reason, gryot made right is a delicacy. Add to that another spice crazed dish, the simple and humble Haitian rice and beans, called "diri kolle", and you got the proverbial foodie party in your mouth. Blessing D is a very simple operation. I called and ordered in English, not Haitian Creole, from a 4 item menu online, showed up, and paid. I got a tray of food large enough to feed 3 people. It came to about the average $15 for this dish at other restaurants, but the quality was superior. Now, is it the best rice and beans? Almost there. Is it the best gryot? Almost there. Was it good? It clearly exceeded expectations, considering the food is not home made style and not fully gourmet style. It's both, yet you know whoever is in the kitchen likes fancy cooking. And I appreciate that. Finally, I have to mention the "pikliz", which is a brined/pickled cabbage and hot habaneros mix that accompanies this dish. It is fresh and spicy as it should be, and one of the best I've had in a while. If all these 3 key components of a simple dish are above my expectations, this place clearly deserves the 5 stars. Next time: fried fish or "poison frit".
