Everyone says this is the place to go! It was amazing! We went here after an amazing concert at the Hardrock. They had amazing music and food. The outdoor area was a club vibe and the inside was more of the restaurant atmosphere. The drinks WERE NOT THE BEST. I think the bartender was a little overwhelmed with the people he had to serve. I don't even know what to say about the drink. The food was TOP TIER! Delicious. I know I will be back on a regular day and just dine and relax. Really enjoyed our experience here. The food was great. The fried goat was crispy and tender. The half chicken was flavorful. Portions were generous. They didn't have everything on the menu available but they had enough options. The ambiance was lovely. Nice touches like a massive fish tank in the middle of the back room. The music took me back to the early 2000s R&B and hip hop. I wish they had the outdoor space set up. The weather was perfectly suited for it. The service was great. The food came out pretty fast. Very very fun night dancing to Konpa! Konpa in demand has added a beginner friendly dance class for those who want to learn how to dance Konpa and I for one truly enjoyed the moment. This past Saturday, my friends and I drove to Orlando for a jazz event, but we decided to stop at Kalalou Signature for dinner, and what a beautiful dining experience it was. First, let me say the decor is absolutely exquisite. Chef Mario Peters advised us to try the six-course meal package that everyone should experience to me Each course was rich in flavor, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. Oh, and my Tequila Sunrise? Absolutely delicious. I definitely need to come back to explore more of the delicious dishes at this gem of a restaurant. We showed up when the restaurant should have been open But it was closed. I called the phone number and the owner answered and said that they were open and she would call somebody to open the doors for us. They were very slow, unfriendly, there was a full bar there, but they said they didn't think the bartender was coming in today. They said they wouldn't be able to serve drinks. They didn't have any of the food we wanted to order. There was no one else in the restaurant and they pretty much ignored us most of the time. We finally got up and left once we realized we couldn't order anything that we wanted because they were out of everything we asked for on the menu. Terrible experience! read more

To be honest, I would stay FAR AWAY! If you want a great Haitian hospitality experience, DO NOT GO here. We went for a World Cup viewing, made reservations, and arrived 15 minutes before our reserved time. 1) Reservation issue: The reservation was for no reason since they did not have any tables for us. We were willing to wait but they said they didn't have any tables for the rest of the night. They let us in and charged us an entrance fee of $20 each + tax for a total of $67.90 (nowhere did they mention a fee on the flyer). There are like 6 tables in there lol 2) Seating issues: We sat with this girl who told us we could join her and her friend. Before her friend could even arrive, a rude and loud man came to our table and told us all we had to get up (including the girl) because they were reserving the table for another group. Mind you, there were no signs on the table. He tried to move us at a table behind the fish tank (no fish, dirty, and disgusting), we said we couldn't see and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. We got ahold of the other floor manager, and he told us we could sit outside and walked away. We had to move our own table and chairs out there (all the tables outside were dirty, ugly, and cracked). We FINALLY positioned ourselves and started watching the game I WISH it ended there! 3) The person who connected the game to his laptop was only showing 1/4 of the screen cause it was zoomed in too much so we couldn't see the actual field. Another girl tries to go up to him and tell him and said that he told her "that's how it's supposed to look," so at that point I just started watching the game on my phone lol (I probably should've left at the point but I really wanted some Haitian food) 4) Food/Service: NO ONE ever came to take our order. No lie... no one passed by us. I tried to flag down the ONLY girl who was walking around but she was too busy taking care of the group that was at the table they kicked us out of. 5) Disrespectful, nasty, and rude staff: I finally had enough and went up to the person who checked us in at door and asked for a refund. She told me to hold on while she got everyone in line in (there were at least 5 groups). I waited, she tried to get the managers to come give me the refund and they both were too busy, so I kept waiting. FINALLY, they bring me to the register and tried to give me a refund of $46.60. I said we paid $63.90. FINALLY one of the managers came around and got us our money back with no receipt or proof and said it would take 3 business days. I said I need proof, so he took a blurry picture of half of the screen showing that the payment was voided. The amount was not shows on the screen, so I asked if I could take a better picture and this man gritted his teeth at me into a fake smile and said that was the best they could do and they had actual customers to worry about. All this to say... DO NOT GO HERE! It's not worth it and there are MANY other restaurants in the Orlando/Central FL area with kinder staff, better customer service, and a higher standard of hospitality and etiquette. The chef: Mario Peters crafted a stunning sampler menu that beautifully showcased authentic Haitian cuisine, blended effortlessly with refined European influences. Each and every dish he brought out told a story: bold, soulful, and comforting, yet full of fresh, unexpected twists. The flavors instantly transported me back home, while also letting me explore an entirely new world of Haitian culinary culture. The balance of tradition and innovation was masterful. Not a fan of leaving a negative review, but, we wanted to try this place. After being seated for almost 40 minutes, we were never given menus. The only thing brought to our table was lemon water, which we didn't ask for, and that didn't arrive until about 25 minutes after we were seated. Since we were never able to order or even see a menu, we can't comment on the food. After nearly an hour with no real service, we decided to leave. Very disappointing experience. read more

Enjoyed every meal. My favorite has to be the snapper and the rice. The plantains weren't to thick and came out nice it crispy. Let's talk about the drinks though. Every single one we tried was great. Andres was so attentive and very drink he suggest was perfect! He even gave us some bday shots! The restaurant is clean and everything is well kept. My husband stopped at this restaurant last night to pick up late night snack. He ordered chicken because he thought it would be inexpensive. He should have asked the price before ordering. To his surprise a half a chicken and a container of black rice ended up costing $43! He ask why so much and was told they are catering to a higher class of people. This place is amazing !! You feel like you've traveled across the ocean and landed in some authentic Ghanaian town! The black rice is delicious and if you want to take it to the next level ask for some ox tail sauce to pour on top. The Snapper is not cheap but worth every penny , cooked to perfection . This is the first upscale Haitian restaurant that I have been to in Orlando and I loved it! The restaurant itself is beautiful. There's inside seating and outside seating where they host events and live entertainment. They also have a private room for parties. The food was 10/10 and so were the drinks. Sade our server was the bomb.com and to top it all off the Bar manager came to our table and provided above and beyond guest service. He made sure we understood our drink options and helped create a memorable experience. There was a live band that made the ambiance feel chill and the food was fantastic! I had reservation for four Sunday September 16, 2023. Upon viewing the menu, I immediately noticed that it was a limited menu. There were only three main dishes, and two of them were not available. We ordered griot as an appetizer, it came out mostly with lots of fats, and little meat. They served a small plate of rotten avocados, we sent it back! We were told that entertainment will start by 7:00 PM, no entertainment till past 9:00PM. Oh, the fish on the menu that would have cost $35.00 was not available, the waiter suggested the $65.00 one that was available. Lots of issues with this new restaurant. Finally, we had the chicken dish was acceptable. I suggest that the food is inspected before leaving the kitchen area. No one wants rotten avocado! It was insulting!
