The second half of my son's gluten-free chicken pesto wrap
    Jennifer F.

Wow - I mean, wow! I got the kale salad and added avocado and hard boiled egg and there's no way I could finish it all. The peanut dressing is so light and not super peanut buttery so it doesn't overpower the salad. My son got a gluten-free pesto chicken wrap and I would totally order that next time. He's four and he's mowing it down! My husband got the Greek salad with chicken and I think I might want that next time too. The lemon vinaigrette was strong and delicious. Everything is fresh and healthy and full of nutrition, so it's not the cheapest place, but hey we are worth it!

I came here for a healthier lunch. I had the chicken pesto wrap which was very good. It was $13 which is a bit pricey for a wrap only. The place was clean and service was very nice.

Love this place, love the type of food! Healthy dishes with so much flavor!Quinoa, farro and veggies! I had Smoked Salmon Salad with peanut dressing! Yummi! My daughter ordered the Poke Bowl and loved it. I would only recommend cutting smaller pieces of tuna in it. 2 salads + juice = $42+tip Maybe it's slightly expensive but it is worth trying. Service was good and the place looked cleaned and organized.

Stopped by for a quick snack with my son. We were greeted right away. There were a few people in line in front of us, but the line moved quickly. We ordered the following: Quinoa Bowl $11 + Tuna (extra charge) Tropical Trippin' $7.5 The quinoa bowl comes with fresh quinoa (obvi), kale, carrots, cucumber, feta, avocado, green peppers, tomatoes, scallion, mint, cilantro, serrano pepper, and garbanzo beans. It comes with either lemon vinaigrette or peanut dressing. I asked the lady at the counter which goes better and she recommended the peanut dressing, so I went with that. It was delicious! The bowl was loaded and filling. The Tropical Trippin' is made with orange, mango, pineapple, coconut yogurt, and coconut milk. It was sweet, but not too sweet and very refreshing! The space is small, but bright and clean. Parking is limited, but overflow parking is available in the adjacent shopping center. The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit on the pricey side, but that's to be expected at a healthy food cafe that serves fresh, organic food.

Not a lot of good smoothie options because of the combinations, also the size of the smoothies for the price is ridiculous. I got this for 9 whole dollars. This small cup! I wish I could've got a refund cause the size is ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend Over places like tropical smoothie and smoothie king.

This is a nice little place with quality food. Got the egg sandwich which was excellent.

I'm really liking this spot. Today I tried the Acai Bowl. The guy that took my order, made sure I liked coconut and also recommended adding almond butter. Delish! The bowl was very fresh, the texture was like a smoothie, and the toppings added additional flavor. The restaurant was very clean and customer service was great. I'll be back!

I love this place. But I don't love that , every table and counter surface are to dirty. It would take less than five minutes to wipe them down and straighten the chairs. The fridge is never stocked and is usually empty. At the very least, it can be cleaned! There are always wire barrels filled with fresh lemons or apples for decor purposes I assume ... yet, some how there always manages to be a lemon or apple on the floor. Pick it up. The place is not that big. It's manageable. It's been freshly renovated, but what's the point when it's not kept clean.

Really cute spot. Very clean. Good customer service. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Wrap combo which came with your choice of half salad. I got the Greek salad to go with it. I was a tad bit disappointed :( I thought I was going to get a full wrap but really got half a wrap and the salad seemed more like a full size. There was more salad then there was of the Chicken Pesto wrap. The dressing for the salad was okay. The wrap was tasty but kept falling apart and I ate in 2 bites because of how small it was. I'll try something else next time since this was my first time trying out this place.

Kale Me Crazy was so good! It was so hard for me to pick something off their menu because EVERYTHING looked so good. I ended up getting the Quinoa Bowl Salad and trying the Double Avocado Toast! The Quinoa Bowl Salad was great and they were very generous with the avocado! I wish they had a "Kale Me Crazy" where I'm from because I would 100% be going there everyday

They needed to clean the booth, so we waited, but when we were taken to our seats, one side of the booth still had cocktail stirrers on the seat. (Likely 4 smaller people would have been able to squeeze into that booth, but knowing we had 3 larger adults in our party of 5, I asked if we could move to a table.) Moving to the open table required a manager's override. Very thankfully, a waiter asked if we'd been helped, when he noticed us standing near the hostess stand, and explained that a manager needed to make the change to a table with chairs. (The hostess did not explain that to us.) The waitress at our table was polite to us and provided excellent service, but it was clear she was trying to rush us along. I ordered the almond encrusted trout, which was okay, but the mashed sweet potatoes were served cold. (Maybe it was wrong of me to assume they would be served warm, as I have had sweet potato salad at a Korean restaurant that was served cold, but seeing that my husband's mashed potatoes were steaming hot, it was another disappointment.). When we told them that we were there for my husband's birthday, they did comp us the cost of a dessert and put a lit candle in the desert for us. However, the overall experience and food were just okay, not great, as we had hoped.

Valet parking directly in back which is a basic requirement for me in this area. Seated on time for a reservation made through Open Table. A little tight inside because these converted homes are limited in space, so you have to wind between tables to get to yours. Not a big deal for us since they seated us in a back room near the bar, which meant there was a little less traffic by our table when we were seated. Two large tables of rowdy groups made for a louder vibe than anticipated, but once they left, it was much less noisy in the small space. They do have outdoor seating but the weather was iffy so I opted for inside. Started with some Gouda fritters. Dinner was fish tacos and the burratta chicken sandwich. Topped off the meal with a yummy slice of carrot cake. Everything was delicious! Service was solid and friendly. Will definitely be back!

We had the sliders for an appetizer and the risotto balls. The sliders were on the special menu and they were so good. They came out very fresh and hot whereas our entrées took a little bit to come out and this was a little like lukewarm. Overall, the food was good I would just recommend more sauce on the sandwiches. I did feel like after the appetizers came out that the service did go down a little, but the manager did come out and talk to us to see things were. He was very friendly easy to talk to and open to our recommendations. One thing to note is there is very limited parking around here, but they do offer valet that is included if you eat there.

After speaking with the staff, i believe Mashawi is more specifically palestinian. The concept of this place is what sets it apart. They make it easy for the new comer or the veteran by telling you that there is nothing to order, you just enjoy. Right out of the gate, the side dishes and salads are presented like you are at a wedding feast. It is family style so you have to be quick if you want first dibs on the babaganoush or the hummus, and especially the Falafel (best i have ever had). Don't worry if you are slow to the draw because they will refill all sides and salads. The hardest part abotu Mashawi is having self conctrol because what comes next is a parade of seasoned meats and proteins that only get better. Reccomend the Steak, Kifta, and shrimp and Salmon. I have only been for dinner and at the end of this glorious meat train, they will ask if you would like more! It's a great family experience, or a night out with other friends. If you are wanting to introduce this cuisine to rookies, this place is perfect because there is no pressure to choose the right item. There plenty of choices for everyone to find something to eat. My last piece of advice would be to wait to order the Mint Drink at the end as a paltte clenser. They tempt you with a taste at first, but waiting till the end is the perfect punctuation to a unique and unforgettable meal.

We tried Mashawi for the first time and thought the concept was interesting -- different Middle…read moreEastern meats are brought directly to the table, somewhat similar to a Brazilian steakhouse experience. At $45.99 per adult, it is less expensive than Fogo de Chão, so I wouldn't expect the same level of meat quality. We tried quite a few of the meats, and while everything was fine, we found the quality, texture, and flavor fairly average. The portions brought to the table were also surprisingly small -- for example, two shrimp and a very small piece of salmon at a time. Since it is all-you-can-eat, you can ask for more, but overall the experience didn't feel particularly generous. The most unusual part of our experience was the mansaf. It is listed as part of the all-inclusive menu, and since none of us had ever tried it, we specifically asked for it. The gentleman serving us strongly discouraged us from ordering it, explaining that mansaf is very heavy and that usually Jordanian customers come specifically for it. Later, when we asked again, he told us that since we were already full, there was really no need to order it. He did say he would bring it if we really wanted it, but after being discouraged multiple times, it felt awkward to insist, so we ultimately didn't try it. We understand that mansaf comes as a large dish and that he may simply have been trying to prevent food waste, which is understandable. At the same time, since it is specifically listed as an included item, we were surprised to be so strongly discouraged from ordering it. We were genuinely interested in trying a traditional Jordanian dish, not simply ordering more food because it was included. Overall, the concept is interesting and the price is reasonable for an all-you-can-eat meal. It is also fair to keep the lower price point in mind when comparing it with places like Fogo. But between the average meat quality, small portions, and the awkward experience around ordering the mansaf, we probably won't return.

She had zero personality and barely a voice. At one point, she asked my husband if he'd like another Old Fashioned but never asked if I wanted another glass of wine, even though my empty glass was sitting right there. She brought his drink, dropped it off, and walked away again without asking. I ended up going without another drink altogether. Honestly, she sounded sick enough that they probably should've sent her home and had someone cover her shift. I ordered the steak, which came with roasted fingerling potatoes. I would've preferred mashed potatoes, but the fingerlings were perfectly acceptable. My husband ordered the fried chicken, assuming it would come with mashed potatoes since that's pretty standard with fried chicken. We were told mashed potatoes are only served on Wednesdays. That was just weird. They're mashed potatoes--not a once-a-week specialty item. Really? Since my husband wanted potatoes with his chicken, he asked if he could substitute the side it came with for the same roasted fingerling potatoes that were already being served with my steak. The waitress said she would have to ask the chef. She came back and told us the chef said NO. That made even less sense. The potatoes were obviously already being prepared and served in the restaurant, so why couldn't they simply be substituted as a side? He ended up with the very different fingerling potato salad with peas in it instead. He got his potatoes I suppose. The fried chicken itself was very good, as was my steak, which is why I'm still giving the restaurant four stars. But between mashed potatoes apparently being a Wednesday-only event, the chef refusing a very simple side substitution, and inattentive service that left me sitting with an empty wine glass, the whole experience was unnecessarily strange. Great food, but the service and inflexibility were an epic fail. This could've been a five-star experience.
