My friends and I are from out of town but we were treated like locals. Creative beverages, amazing apps (egg rolls and lettuce wraps) and wonderful burgers and shrimp and grits. Even the spinach was special. We are in town to say good bye to a dear friend of over 40 years and the wait staff was cordial and attentive but didn't hover. Great lunch yesterday at Salt! Busy but we were able to snag a table. Very friendly and excellent server. We had the butternut ravioli and calamari to start which were fantastic...that sauce on the ravioli is delicious. Veggie burger, fish tacos and the kale salad as mains...all well prepared. This is for the Woodstock location. Valet parking is very convenient plus, downtown Woodstock is difficult to park. Very busy location with very good food. Typically sit at the bar and service is very attentive. The muscles are some of the best I have ever eaten. They are in a Thai - Jamaican - Barbados sauce that you will ask for a spoon to finish every last drop. It also comes with 4 pieces of bread. This is a great location. We've eaten at the one in Alpharetta, and at the one in East ATL that is now closed. The Canton Street location and Alpharetta locations are top notch! We had the lettuce wraps that were so delicious and just bursting with flavor! And we also tried the garbanzo beans that were basically little crack rocks! They were so unique in texture and flavor. Would definitely order both of them again. Our bartender was super friendly, witty, and all over it! I felt like she had ESP! We did not wait for anything. We had a friend join us, and she got a great looking Caesar salad. Overall, it was a great experience. The lettuce wraps were awful! It was like trying to hold soup in a lettuce leaf - nothing but a mess. The meat in it was almost too tough to chew, and had a sickening sweet taste. The pear salad wasn't as expected from the menu - "spiked" lettuce - yuck. The chargrilled oysters were tasteless and had shattered oyster shells in them--- I was afraid I had chipped a tooth. For the appetizers we tried the salmon crispy rice and the pulled pork tacos, both were delicious! The salmon crispy rice was amazing, the rice was toasted and crunchy, great texture! The pulled pork tacos come with 3, each is filled with meat so this is definitely an appetizer to share. For our main courses we got the traditional burger, margarita pizza and chicken fried chicken. Each dish came out perfect. The burger is big and the french fries are yummy and salty. The pizza we added spinach, jalapeños and mushrooms to, it was cooked well and not soggy. Yikes... not a great experience. My husband accidentally knocked his drink after he got it and the bartender said "ha that's gonna take me a second to remake". Mind you gave us no napkins or anything to clean it. Then finally comes back over to us and said so do you want another? Like what do you mean obviously that should be a default action? We were shocked at her response and said ya know what no thanks we're good. Then she proceeds to give us the bill for that one drink and a plastic cup with a splash of bourbon and said "here's a mini on the house" I'm sorry what?? You can't remake a drink after it spilled? I ordered grilled fish tacos today and the fish came out overcooked with fried tortillas (never had fried tortillas at a restaurant that didn't have bell in its name). As the fish came out overcooked, I sent the order back to be remade. In this case, the order came back with the fish cooked as intended but served on a bed with wilted lettuce and a hair. Needless to say, I won't be back. Odd attempt at service recovery as they brought out some dessert without asking if it was something I wanted, especially after not being able to properly serve a meal. read more

Dined here with colleagues on a brisk Wednesday evening after work. Around 6 PM it was really quiet then it gets busy with people getting off work and going out to dinner. It's a cozy, dim lit, wood and leather atmosphere. The bartender, Bruce was such a delight. Bruce took care of us as we arrived ahead of our guests before we moved to a table. They don't take reservations but were kind enough to hold a table for our party. I started with a virgin mojito (Dry January) but they have a wide variety of wine, craft cocktails, bourbon and beers. For dinner we started with the Louisiana egg rolls, Moroccan meatballs and mussels. The mussels were the standout! Wow...the broth was amazing with French bread to dip it. For dinner I enjoyed the Kale and Quinoa salad with Cajun shrimp. So fresh and flavorful. Lots of shrimp too! There's an option to top with salmon or chicken however no steak. The up charge for steak (London Broil) is more than the entree! Dessert wasn't on the menu but I crème brûlée and a chocolate molten cake & something else was offered. The team chose the cake but I didn't indulge. Definitely planning to come back for the mussels, calamari and when I'm back to drinking. read more

He took the time to take or drink order and deliver the drinks. When we were ready he also addressed our questions and took our dinner order. The content of the fish tacos was very yummy but the shell was not only crispy it had been practically incinerated. Fell apart in my hands with the first bite. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday with my lovely wife. Grabbed the Beyond Burger with fries, wife grabbed the fish and chips with a drink (old fashioned). The burger was dialed. Super thick and served with some pickled cucumbers and aioli. The bun could have used an upgrade, wasn't as fresh as it could have been and it detracted from the burger. Ended up tossing the top part and that worked out much better. Fries were well cooked and salty, perfect. Wife loved her fish and chips, well crisped fish is a bonus. read more

Parking: there's parking on the street as well as parking across the street. It's free for 2 hours, you just have to register your car in the ParkMobile app. Inside: I wasn't to fond of the seating. The tables were very close together. There wasn't much room to move around, and it is very loud. Service: our server was Rebecca, she was very nice. You could tell she was a little busy, but she still did a great job. It looked like there were only a few servers. The head chef was really nice as well. I'm currently in a neck brace so it's hard for me to eat. He provided me with pizza boxes to sit my food on and made it much easier. The chef was an African American man, glasses and dreads! Food: I was very surprised by the fried chicken, it was amazing. The potatoes were so creamy and good. The egg rolls were also one of my favorites. Salt Pub is a staple now of Roswell. So I'll be brief on the review. The service here is always outstanding. from the bar to the tables, it's attentive, accurate and knowlegeable. So feel free to ask your questions about the menu. The menu is diversified but mostly AMericanized fare. Usually I end up with a streak or fish dinner. Always, always I get the mussels.... they are some of the best in atlanta. Great sauce, large, flavorful mussels. Great selection of wines as well. If there was any complaints, it would be the restaraunt size. I often do not go in especially during covid due to it being packed. but, I wont knock a star here, they do thier best to keep things spacious. Highly recommend... unless you feel tight places are needing to be avoided during covid. read more

Have been on many occasions and this most recent one was during the Roswell Wine Festival. It's a very tight fit, as they have used every single inch of room to jam tables in - standing at the bar is really an impossibility, or, prepare for some hand to hand combat. You're certainly going to get "bumped" in your seat at the table too so just be ready. All that said though - the menu is creative and food excellent. You ever go down a crowded street and walk by very crowded restaurants and then end up in one that has hardly anyone in it and wonder why? That is exactly what happened here. My wife and I bypassed the crowds to come here because the menu looked good. When we got our food it looked great. But...it was just ok. We both hated the Huns on our sandwiches, they were dry and crumbly and made the hot chicken sandwich extra dry. The hamburger was a solid "ok" minus the bun. I didnt think i would like this place but i did and most of all due to our server Deja. We stopped for a quick bite before a class and it was very good. Ordered the korean wings to start. They were just ok, maybe not crispy and sweet enough. I would make this all the time myself. Btw there are 10 in the order and very good size. I had the poached pear and shrimp salad. Very good. There wasn't enough pear. Felt like it could have added another 1/2 pear. Well balanced and not over dressed. My husband had the burger. Was really good, probably 1/2 pound and juicy. Fries were excellent. They reminded us of a famous place in chicago's fries. Our server was great.
