    Hot tea - ginger lemon

I've ordered from here and eaten inside and their food is just glorious. Everything is vegan, and they do not skimp on the sides. I got the jackfruit wrap (which they can also do in taco form) with the default side of fries and it was delicious and super filling. Their service is excellent - they came over frequently to make sure everything is ok, food didnt take long I highly, highly recommend getting a slice of the monthly cake they get from pie pie my darling. It's always amazing and despite it being expensive, it's gonna rock your world and be worth every penny. I got one to go since I didn't have room for it and ate it later. Regrets? Zero!

I had a great experience at Kale My Name. The food was excellent the ambiance superb and the service was warm and attentive. I am not vegan, but if I were, I would honestly eat here all the time. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and thoughtfully prepared. If you are vegan and anywhere near the ChiTown area, this place is an absolute must.

The steak burrito is delicious. Definitely order it. The potato wedges are also delicious.

The streak burrito is really good. The waiter was nice. The restaurant was welcoming and warm. I usually use uber to order but i decided to eat at the restaurant. I lead a good experience. The ambience is nice. The buffalo wrap is also another favorite of mine.

This was my second visit, parking was available both times though we got lucky this time. I'm not from Chicago but I've been surprised how quiet this area has been both times. Food was excellent. I got the Italian seitan wrap with fries and garlic kale. The wrap was delicious. Good flavor, satisfying mouth feel. The fries are pretty solid. Kale is quite garlicky, probably a bit strong for most people.

Ask the Community - Kale My Name

I see that the oyster mushrooms and tea are labelled organic. Do you source other organic ingredients--especially soy?

Yes, out tofu is organic in buffalo tofu wrap and in tofu scrambles too!

I learned the hard way that this place does not have any lettuce in the house! Does anyone here know if they allow you to bring your own lettuce? I just don't like kale on my burgers, only lettuce. I'd love to bring my own if allowed. Please confirm?

Hi friend, we are all about the KALE. Outside food isn’t allowed due to health department regulations but you can order for to go and add lettuce at home ♥️

    Is the ranch dairy free?

    yes, its dairy free

How are they vegan if they had all these cheese on the menu? And what makes you think they are vegan cheeses if they only "cheddar", "mozzarella "?

Vegan cheese made from Cashews and other nuts etc. I make this myself.

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

    ABSOLUTELY YES.

"Welcome back." I…read morehesitate. I know with absolute certainty that I have never stepped foot in Chicago. Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back."

We sat in the back patio area. The patio was covered and heated, supposedly. It was cold back there to me. They have $30 bottomless mimosas for brunch from 11-3. I ordered the chicken sandwich and added an egg. I also had the hot tots that came with queso dip. The food was really good actually. The chicken sandwich surprised me at how flavorful it was. Service was okay. The kitchen seemed swamped, so it took awhile for food to come out. They didn't check on us super frequently. Overall, the food was good, and the people that I went with enjoyed the bottomless mimosa deal.

The potato chips the dip came with were massive, fantastic, ruffle cut slices. Dip was good, trout roe ($18) gave it that extra pop of flavor. Our favorite dish of the night was definitely the beef tongue, so tender and balanced with textures and acidity. Mains were: Pappardelle (mushroom and carrot ragu) - I liked this best out of the three pastas, pasta was very tender. Cappelletti (beef, celery root fonduta) - felt a little under al dente in the sections where it was pasta pressed against pasta. The beef filling was on the average side, a simple, braised beef. Strozzapreti (duck bolognese + parm reggiano) - pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce leaned salty. Our half chicken arrived once we were finishing the pastas. Juicy and tender, with the fat/skin rendered out nicely. The sauce was good, but felt the chicken itself was lacking seasoning/flavor. The remaining duck ragu came in handy for extra saltiness. Finished the meal with the terrazzo cheesecake, and gelato scoop trio (roasted vanilla, peanut butter cookie dough brownie, and frutti di bosco sorbet). Cheesecake was light and wiggly, definitely contained some gelatin and cubes of strawberry jello; not too sweet. I enjoyed the peanut butter gelato the most, was very tasty mixed with the sorbet to make a little pb and j concoction. They also gave a little slice of chocolate cake as we were there for a celebration. Overall, appetizers were a hit, with the dessert coming in second, and entrees following thereafter. Was ~$240 w the included 25% service fee between 3 people. The food feels like 3.5 stars as the food was inconsistently good across courses, but the service/ambiance pushes it to a 4. Worth a try if you can get a reservation.
