General tso's chicken - nice big chunks of chicken, a few pieces of broccoli and some peppers which was a nice change of pace. Bonless pork spareribs - bit different than I'm used to. But enjoyed it. Chow Fun was okay, but the service is exceptional. Very nice people run this establishment. They were very helpful over the phone and provided us with approximate wait times. In my bag was ample napkins and utensils. I would need to give their food a second shot, because I've heard their chicken wings are so good. However, the chow fun was a little gummy and over cooked. Years ago we tried Ying Hui on a few occasions but the food was always sub par at best. In fact we tried just about every Chinese restaurant within a 15 mile radius and even though some places were good all of them had a consistency problem. However, about a year ago we tried Ying Hui again and the food was fantastic. So we tried them again. Then again. Then again. Alas! A Chinese restaurant close to home that delivers consistently delicious food! The sauces they serve are all tasty and unique unlike the same old brown sauce with some slight variations you get at other places. Their vegetables are all fresh and great quality. The dishes are packed into the containers that empty out into huge portions. They certainly don't skimp on the amount of shrimp in their seafood dishes. The food always arrives piping hot. And to top it all off their prices are the more than reasonable for the portion size and quality of the food. Note that this is not a restaurant to go to and I advise you only to order delivery or you may be scared off by the location and appearance. However, If you live in the area or are passing through I highly recommend you give them a shot even if you gave up on them in the past like we did. I am sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Be sure to ask for chopsticks/ forks before you leave because it wasn't in the to-go bag. The place was a little hard to find. It's tucked in the corner of a 3 store strip mall. No big signage on the outside. When you first walk in, it looks like a vase store with Asian antiques. When you walk up the counter, you can see the kitchen. I called and ask if Lobster fried rice is made of real lobster meat and they said yes. When I came home the fried rice smells really bad and looks like made from spoiled left over rice, on top of that no trace of lobster meat but tiny craw fish. Goes directly to trash. Do not want to risk eating spoiled food. This place is a pig sty too used as storage/kitchen. I do not know how they can pass inspection to sell and cook food. Based in the reviews before mine, I trust this Chinese restaurant is better than others in the area. However, it is by no means good. I got the Mongolian beef and steamed pot stickers. The beed was tough and the dish as a whole was just not good. Felt like it was prepared to be just what it is, cheap fast chinese food. The mongolian beef and rice I ate but the steamed pot stickers were huge, overly doughy with no flavor to the pork inside. I couldn't even get myself to finish one pot sticker. This was one of the more bizarre shops I have visited in the USA. Clearly a take out dive with only one table with 5 chairs for those unlucky enough to need to eat in house (Moi), these folks clearly make food as a secondary enterprise to the antique business they run in the same space. I was able to peruse some attractive Chinese and Western vases and curios while waiting for my meal to reach me in its polystyrene container. Not an expert, but having spent enough time in China to know how these things are done, most of what I saw were copies of older pieces. Of course, they insist they are the original Ming Dynasty pots, but no way they would leave them out in the open of a tiny resto if that were so. The real McCoy's are under lock and key because of their large valuations. Anyway, I know they do better with the pottery than the slop served, because the old man drove up in a Hummer full of more ceramics as I walked back to my car. Which leads me back to the food. I don't mind that there was no washing of hands between touching old pots and cooking pots. I didn't mind that the menu I was forced to look at was smeared with sauce and whatever, rather than thrown away before I arrived. I don't even mind that there was no air conditioning and the door was left wide open to allow me the pleasure of sharing my meal with flies. But, I did mind that the Chicken had been frozen too long and lost its tenderness, and that the Fried Rice was a copper color from being dyed by the bouillon it had been cooked in yesterday. What surprised me in all this were the actual veggies that found their way into the dish. Not just Broccoli, but Water Chestnuts, Fresh Mushrooms, Carrots, Snap Peas and even Black Fungus (the good stuff) were all mixed in. I didn't expect to see that in an otherwise lackluster presentation in styro. No. Someone around there knew something about cooking, and took the time to get authentic ingredients for this slovenly meal. The General's sauce was also near amazing, because it actually had the Hot/Sweet balance generally considered the proper taste for this dish. Why they were able to develop the right sauce with the high end veggies, while throwing in old Chicken and rerun rice, is beyond me. But, in retrospect it was no more unusual than the store itself. I don't think I'll be back to Ying Hui unless I am looking for an attractive ersatz vase for a gift for someone I don't care too much about. PS. Don't be too impressed with that Top 100 Award. Whether than is legit or not, it certainly wasn't given for this operation. Those awards are for sale on the internet. read more

Shrimp was tasteless and anything fried was so greasy and most was burnt in the poopoo platter. The shrimp toast pieces looked like coal and dripped with oil. Noodles were bland. Doesn't look all that great, but as an ex New Yorker, I can tell you that the pan fried dumplings are the best I have found locally! I went to this place after reading some good reviews so I had kind of high expectations. I got wonton soup, shrimp toast, pork fried rice and an egg roll. It was all ok but definitely nothing special. The egg roll was all or mostly cabbage but crispy so it was ok. The wonton soup was typical and had decent flavor but was also just ok. The shrimp toast was greasy and a little overcooked. The pork fried rice had a lot of pork in it but was fatty in my opinion. Overall this place was decent but I really don't see how it got voted one of the best in the country. It was good enough but I wouldn't go running back there. I have definitely been to places where the food is way better than this. One of the best Chinese food places I have ever gone to is King Wong in Marlton. It blows this place away! read more

It's rated one of the best Chinese restaurants in America and even has the owners at the red carpet of the awards ceremony. I had no idea but only came here because it's around the corner from my apartment. All the food I have tried has been outstanding and cheap. This place is tiny and the floor is a litter sticky. It is know where to spend an afternoon, but I have always been satisfied with my orange chicken take out. Be warned this is a take out place, don't go in search of customer service or with a lot of substitution requests. Order off the menu, by number, get your food and go home. I've been many,many times because the family is cool, it's open late and close by. But lately there are many choices and I have not gone here in a while. Went back this week.. I do like their fried appetizers and soup. But I made the mistake (and have made it before too) and ordered the General Tso Chicken. The overall taste is good BUT you simply cannot chew what they offer as the chicken. Not sure what they do (cook it too long, cook it many times, use cheap portions) but 90% of the chicken could not be chewed and had to be thrown away. This has happened to me before here but I had hoped maybe it would be better. But same result. So, if I go back, I'll stick to the apps and soup since they are pretty safe and good. read more
