Bought and consumed the half candy today ,to find out the expiry date..."not dead yet"!
Athira M.

I paid a whopping-135$s ,buying some veggies and stuffs ,thinking -it must be fresh as they always claim.. Half way through a crunchie candy bar,I felt weird and stinky to find the best before date to be 8/11/2018!! So i consume a chocolate 2 years after its manufacturing date,on a pandemic year...;still not dead..waiting for the most atrocious thing to happen...! One more thing to worry during pandemic!!

Fun!!!!!

Yeah, I look lost when I come into Indian grocery/markets. So it's nice to get a "can I help you find something". The answer for me is "yes!!! Always!". Sometimes I don't even know what I need so I let them know what I am trying to cook and I get pointed in the right direction or given suggestions. I have been to many Indian markets in the Tri-Valley area and this is the only place that has that level of customer service. The store is small but always has what is on my recipe list and is very well organized. Also, they have chopped veggies which is awesome! Minimum of $10 on a Visa or MasterCard credit card.

Fresh cut veggies neatly packaged and available here.

Its neat and clean, small though but is well stalked up. Veggies are reasonable priced and fresh the best part is they have a variety of them already pre-cut and packaged nicely. The lady working there(must be the owner) was friendly and was able to take the pressure cooker we bought from here back without any questions asked. Will definitely be shopping from here on regular basis.

Am not sure how this store is still open. Some of the items are more than double the price you get in other stores!

Friendly quick and clean store. Prices bit on high side but veggies stay longer and fresh vs other stores around.

Sharing the tri-tip steak and eggs with my daughter. And an ube latte, ube matcha iced coffee and mango matcha. When it comes to the Bay Area's ube drinks, I'm always let down and I surprise myself when I do order it. Like tell me I'm lying when Starbucks' ube was a massive fail for me as a Filipino. Post- meal: steak was medium rare and juicy. My younger daughter was in heaven with her tri-tip and A1. Country potatoes were well seasoned. My daughter had club sandwich which she ate voraciously. She's not typically a sandwich person so this was a good sign! Our specialty drinks. Now, with the ube. The ube foam had the tiniest hint of ube flavor but it was more of a purple foam and didn't satisfy my craving. My younger daughter had the ube matcha and although she liked the ube foam, she kept asking me to ask for more because her drink only tasted like matcha. It was more of the same for my daughter who thought there wasn't enough mango in the mango matcha. If we don't finish our drinks, we usually take it home to go but we decided to leave ours. It's not enough to have a good presentation of specialty coffee drinks but the taste leaves one wanting. I want them to do good. There are better foams and syrups out there. Check out the syrup that Porto's uses for their ube matcha. There's great small batch syrups as well. Our waiter was lovely. You get the sense that this is possibly his family's business. If not, he definitely had pride in this restaurant and his work which leads me to believe that I would give this place a try again to eat their food and see if they've improved their coffee menu.

For crispy skin roasted pig , San Rita road location is the best . I bought my $14.99 combo box today . It is a large rectangular box and you can fill in with items of your choice . It is $14.99 . If you buy just one meat item and a medium size paper box is already $12 The self served deli section has fried rice , stir fry egg noodle and hor fun ( rice fiat noodle ) . Many different types of cooked vegetables ( Napa , broccoli, zucchini, egg plants , etc ) and meats ( chicken , beef , fish , shrimp , beef brisket ) tofu , etc . They all taste great and you can stack up a lot more of you put the smaller pieces in the bottom . I bring my own extra containers. After I paid the cashier I put all the salt & pepper fish filet into my own container to keep it dry and fluffy. The batter they use are very tasty and light. It has so much room I have enough food to last me two meals . For the $14.99 combo you must put in some rice and vegetables. Cannot be all meats . That is not hard to arrange . I have includes photos and the prices list for the deli section . They get the first batch of food around 11:00 and then refill once around 2 pm . During the holidays , you can order grilled turkey marinaded in BBQ flavor . It is delicious and we order it often .

And they've gotten a lot more pricey. Like some of the buns, fresh or frozen has gone up $2-3. Same with their fresh meat, poultry, and seafood. Selection is not as great and their prices have gone up. The store isn't as organized like before. Also, the smell of dried fish always hits you as soon as you walk in. And still there's the lack of customer service. I'll probably be back only if I'm in need of a particular item, but that's about it.

If I remember correctly, they get some of their seafood locally, from Pillar Point Harbor, by Half Moon Bay. Other fish come from farther afield but quality and cost control is reasonable given the fact that seafood is expensive. I've never been led astray. Order at the counter, find a seat, and food will be delivered to your table. Never had their pasta before. Finally tried their fettuccine. Instead of Alfredo sauce, substituted with butter sauce. Selected shrimp with crab. OMG! So good. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Hate mushy pasta. This pasta was fully cooked but still had texture. The butter sauce was generously studded with garlic. Shrimp were large and plump. Fully cooked but not rubbery at all. Next time, will skip the crab which disintegrated into the sauce. Go all shrimp or maybe try with fish. The fried clam strips appetizer was a huge portion and totally unnecessary. The fettuccine was enough of a meal by itself. In fact, was so full after the clams, took most of the fettuccine home. Even as leftovers, the shrimp and fettuccine was so delicious for dinner the next day. To cap it off, staff from the head chef to the cashier/server were so friendly and helpful. They genuinely seem happy to work here. Only 1 suggestion, they should add a few TVs for World Cup viewing.
