I've said it once, and I'll say it again - Best Restaurant In Tallahassee. Gyoza, Spicy pork char siu ramen, Bibimap Chicken. Literally everything on point and bursting with flavor.

This place is amazing! I was so surprised given the "no frills" cafe-style vibe. I equally love sushi and Korean food and they do both SO WELL!!

    Crazy Roll

I was Tallahassee for the day recently and tried this place based on Google and Yelp reviews alone. There were so many things on the menu that sounded amazing, but we narrowed it down to 3 signature and 3 small rolls. They were very friendly and accommodating, and had our to-go order packaged up so nicely. The fish was very fresh. The 3 signature rolls were phenomenal. Next time I'll try more signature options over the small rolls because those were definitely our least favorite. We ordered the Adventure Island, King Kong, Crazy, New York, and Salmon Tempura Rolls along with a special order for my child who has to have a crab and cream cheese roll wherever we go. We'll definitely be back! I can't wait to try some of their appetizers and poke bowls. Their menu has so many great options I feel sure there's something for everyone to enjoy. (I included pics w/ my review)

Second time here. It was still pretty good, trying new things. I have been wanting to try Yakitori here for a while. The staff and service is polite or busy throwing down in the kitchen. The ambiance is pretty cool also, a lot of anime inspired illustrations throughout the restaurant. Will likely be back to try other Korean dishes.

beef bibimbap (comes with house salad) and shumai (shrimp dumplings)
    Yasmine K.

I've ordered from Kami Poke numerous times, and every time I go, it always hits! The food there is absolutely delicious. Recently I got the beef bibimbap, and it was amazing as usual. It has rice, a good amount of nicely seasoned beef, a fried egg, kimchi, and an assortment of veggies like broccoli and pickled radish. All of it meshes so well! They also provide a chili-type sauce to pour on top and that elevated the flavor. It was ~$15 for everything, which I find reasonable since it lasted me two solid meals. The one complaint I have is that the kimchi didn't taste fresh, but it was given to me on the side so it didn't affect the flavor of the bibimbap. I also got a side of shumai (shrimp dumplings) and that hit the spot as well! It was tasty by itself, but you have to eat it with the sauce for maximum deliciousness. The only problem is that it cost $8 for about 4-5 dumplings, which is a bit pricey in my opinion given the size of them (about the size of one and a half quarters). When it comes to service, it isn't as warm. That's neither a good nor bad thing, just something to expect if you order here. It's simply a transactional interaction; you get in, get your food, and get out. They have a lot of seating available, but I've only ever gotten to-go orders so I can't speak on sit-down experiences. Overall, there's nothing special about the ambiance. I go for the food.

So fresh and tasty! This was my first poke experience and it was surely worth the wait. It was super easy to build our own bowls and they were delicious. We didn't order the fried chicken but the table next to us did and it smells amazing. I like that we ordered at the counter and they brought the food to us, nice and casual. I will be getting takeout from here again!

I can't rave about Kami Poke enough. This restaurant was absolutely delicious and we tried many (many) things. The restaurant itself is pretty cool too - loads of artwork and a decent amount of tables. It was very clean and the service was so quick. The staff was very nice as well. Now, on to the food! For my two year old, we got edamame, miso soup and a California roll. All were very tasty. She gobbled them down and that's saying something for a toddler. My husband and I shared an Hawaiian Tuna Poke Bowl, Korean Corn Dog and the Bulgogi. All were delicious. We may have gotten an extra order of Korean Corn dogs to go. The food has great flavor and quality ingredients. I don't have a bad critique about anything. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

Excellent Sushi!!! Best I have ever had. The Tokyo roll was off the charts good. Also had Shrimp Tempura which was very good. Husband had the Fire Dragon and said it was amazing!! We can't wait to come back again.

Kami poke is a has a bit of a split personality, selling both Korean and Japanese food, with some Chinese take out staples included in the mix. We have ordered take out and delivery from them a number of times, and each time the food was excellent. This time we started with Krab Rangoon and Takoyaki and then moved on to chicken japche and beef bulgogi. The krab Rangoon was light and well fried, with a tasty filling. The takoyaki are small soft balls of octopus in a fantastic sauce. They were wonderful. The beef bulgogi was excellent. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The japche was equally wonderful: chicken was moist, noodles still had some bite to them and the veggies were fresh. The entrees came with a very small container of Kim chi and an even smaller container of lettuce with ginger dressing. The Kim chi was great, but I'm glad I had some more in the refrigerator (they also sell a larger side dish of Kim chi). The dressing was excellent, making me wish I had ordered a larger salad. If you are looking for Korean food to go Kami Poke works be great choice.

One of my new favorite restaurants in Tallahassee! I commend any business owner starting things up during Covid. Seriously, a starting a business is already a struggle and the circumstances posed by the pandemic make everything so much more difficult. But Kami Poke has done a great job of keeping their customers safe while offering great dishes that have kept me coming back week after week. Their build your poke bowls, along with the korean beef bibimap, have now become staples in my diet over the course of the last few months. Everything tastes so fresh, portion sizes are large, and the ordering process is super simple. While I haven't tried the vast majority of the items on the menu since the poke keeps drawing me in, I trust that those dishes are just as tasty. Seriously, give Kami a try if you're looking for a quick and delicious poke spot!

Ok, I'm just going to say it....if you have a nose sensitive to certain smells then this is not the place for you to sit and dine in.

First time I tried Korean food and I am impressed. Loved the combination of meat, rice, vegetables and salad. Currently they don't offer inside nor outside seating due to COVID. But ordering online makes pick up even easier.

Ahi tuna and salmon signature poke bowl
    Megan S.

Excellent food! The beef bibimap is awesome. I like the kimchi so much. It was nice and spicy! I'm not sure if it comes with the bibimap, but it was in a separate container and I added it to the bibimap. Delicious! The ahi tuna and salmon signature poke bowl was great. We added some spicy mayo. The ingredients were all so fresh and they gave us a bunch of avocado in the bowl! (Some poke places have been skimping on the avocado lately - not Kami Poke!!) All of the sushi was really great! The fried cheese roll was an experience. We may not order it again, but it was cool to try. It was quite indulgent. This is definitely my new go-to poke bowl place. I'd also like to try more of their signature Korean options since the bibimap was so good. I'd like to see more ramen options too since I'm not a huge fan of teriyaki chicken, but I'll probably try it sometime soon anyway.

Over the course of our dinner, we chose the Galbi short ribs, Hawaiian beef, wine, pork belly, shrimp, octopus and vegetables from the main menu, lettuce to wrap around the protein and the crispy pork belly appetizer. I enjoyed everything but the octopus, but my favorites were the short rib and the Cajun shrimp. There was a robot that brought the food to us, which was neat. For dessert we got little cups of ice cream, chocolate, strawberry or vanilla. FYI, it's all you can eat, but you have to pay if you take food with you. As luck would have it, I used to live in Pembroke Pines. The original Chow Won, or rather Chow One,…read morewas right across the street from my place. I somehow only stepped in there once to say hi to Yelpers prior to moving to the area. At any rate, I eventually moved to Tallahassee, and an acquaintance had told me this place was opening soon one day when I bumped into her at Costco. Given that this is Tallahassee and there aren't many food options, of course I was excited. Especially thinking back about all the positive things I had heard about the Pembroke Pines location. It turns out that this location in Tallahassee opened up some months back (February exactly per the hostess) and today was the day we went to try it out. I will tell you that it can be easy to miss this restaurant. It is next to Essence of India, and if you aren't paying attention, you won't notice that this is right next door. The interior is pristine. A large bar sits at the center of the room. As far as the room itself, it's vast and spacious, with there even being a connected area with you guessed it--more rooms! We were led to a table and Brandon was our server. He was nice and got the job done, along with his robot coworkers. This restaurant has robots that personally bring you some food items. It's been awhile since I've seen this, but it was super cute, particularly as the robots were polite with one another, even saying "excuse me." We began with drinks. I had a strawberry boba tea with strawberry boba. Potentially an overkill of strawberry, but it's my favorite. My companion went for bottled Kirin beer as they were out of draft. In terms of our lunch, you begin with four meats, two appetizers to share, and an individual side. My companion let me choose the appetizers, so we began with spring rolls and pork belly. The spring rolls were accompanied by sauce and they were the clear winner. I felt the pork belly was too seasoned, although cooked properly. For our meats, we chose spare ribs, ribeye, curry chicken, and Cajun shrimp. I'll tell you that the Cajun shrimp was not spicy at all and I had been warned, so I dunked that in all sorts of sauces (they give you yum-yum sauce, chili oil, and teriyaki just so you know). They also give you kimchi, radishes, and bean sprouts--all super yummy! As for the sides, he had fried rice and I had japchae noodles. We were overall quite pleased with our lunch. I definitely see why people I know raved about this chain, because well, now I'm raving about them, too. I will say though that next time I want to go to dinner and with friends. It feels like it'd be a fun experience, especially as it's all-you-can-eat!
