I can usually eat and go within 30 minutes and I have never had to wait for a seat (at the bar). Re: prices, sure I wish it was a couple dollars cheaper, but it is up to any restaurant to set the price that will keep them happy and in business. Overall it was pretty good ramen for just opening. As business goes I'm sure they will definitely get a lot better! The fried pork belly definitely needed a sauce for it, had to ask for a sauce for it which made it a lot better. The charsu pork don was definitely delicious the sauce that came with it was the perfect topping to it all. I wish they had chili oil on the side of the table to spice up your flavor of ramen. I'm a firm believer that everyone deserves a second sometimes third chance. this would be my second visit and I'm sad to say it hasn't improved. I'm well aware there is virtually no choices for Ramen shops in the entire state of Alaska but that doesn't excuse the over salted food and the price gouging. It is absolutely preposterous to be charging upwards of $10 for the smallest portion of appetizers. It is imperative you have servers that truly understand what your patrons are ordering down to the specifics. Repeating something over and over again only to have an order come out wrong left such a terrible impression for our party we won't be coming back. The chicken curry we received was under seasoned underwhelming and lack of actual chicken was pretty disheartening. I'm assuming all of the seasoning went into the Ramen as the Ramen itself was over seasoned. We'd love to come visit again once things are buttoned up and a proper plan with servers and how they interact with patrons is addressed. we hope y'all get better and learn more. read more

Amazing flavor! I stopped in for pick up at about 11:30 on a Thursday and the place was packed. Their online ordering was easy an my food was ready to go when it stated. I got the shoyu ramen broth was flavorful and not too salty. The take out packaging was great keeping the noodles and topping out of the broth untill you you combined them ensuring they wouldn't get soggy. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try more. read more

I found myself in Anchorage attending real estate classes. Famished from the intense 8 hour Saturday class I yearned for some good Japanese ramen. Upon pulling into the parking lot , I quickly realized this was the spot, it was packed. A good sign in the world of restaurants. It was a smaller establishment which provided little elbow room as well as customer seating - but being alone - there is always a lone seat available at the bar. Arriving inside and being greeted by Japanese ephemera and huge selection of canned drinks specific to the region, I was quickly seated at the bar by a server. The menu is concise and to the point. I ordered a chicken Katsu appetizer and the pork ramen. The katsu was crunchy and on point with flavor. The ramen was delicious- I ordered an extra soft boiled egg - and the included pork belly was so savory. I finished my entire meal , paid my bill, and quickly left to make room for another solitary traveler that might find themselves in my predicament. I advise anyone in town to visit this place and treat themselves to great food and atmosphere. read more

I had a frustrating experience due to unfair handling of the waiting list. I was the 4th customer waiting outside, but after the electronic waitlist started between seating the 1st and 2nd customers, a 5th customer who arrived after me rudely cut ahead and was seated first. Despite voicing concerns politely, the staff insisted, disregarding those of us already waiting. Both the 3rd group and myself left due to the unfair treatment. I highly recommend the ramen here. What differentiates the good from the merely decent? The broth of course. The broth here is some of the best I have had anywhere. Just absolutely delicious. The default meat is chicken breast, which I found a bit odd. I prefer to have the sliced pork, which was an add on. There was only 1/2 of an egg, which is a bit stingy but it was delicious nonetheless. I left full. After trying a handful of other places, Kami Ramen is the best ramen we have found in Alaska. It still doesn't quite compare to our favorites at Uma Uma down in Maryland, but it's the best we have found out here. The broth is rich, the noodles taste fresh, and they have a variety of toppings/add-ons. We weren't intrigued by anything else on the menu, but at least we know the ramen is reliable, and so is the service. Ok, I haven't had much experience with Ramen restaurants, my daughter unit suggested it. The place is pretty small, expect a wait for a table, I bet the takeout would be just worth it. The Ramen I had was very good, it was the Miso Ramen with wood ears added. The broth was super smooth and velvety, the flavors were amazing, all the additions to the Ramen was on point. I would give it five stars, however, there were a few things that need attention to. I felt that the broth in the Ramen could have been hotter, the restaurant was super chilly thanks to the crowd waiting at the door. The second would item to improve was bringing more hot green tea, or serve it with a small pot, one little cup was disappointing and it was also lukewarm. Beyond that, I will be going back as often as allowed, very very good. read more

We decided to try this place after seeing a tiktok from guzzygrubs. We ordered just about everything he did and we were not disappointed. My kids grubbed on the fries and pork sandwich and I loved my tonkatsu ramen, the noodles tasted like the ramen I had on my honeymoon in Hawaii. Didn't get to try the pork because my kids stole it.
