Ended up coming here for dinner on a random Tuesday. Service was HORRIBLE. It was not busy at all. We sat down after another couple had arrived and they were greeted and were able to order and get their food fairly quickly. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks and another 10-15 minutes to get our order taken. We had to ask a random server to take our order since we have been waiting a while. On top of that, no server checked up on our table nor did they ask if we wanted any refills. There were literally servers just walking around, not doing anything. On top of that we had to ask someone to get our check because we were just done. Never eating here again if the service is like this. The orange chicken was good and so was the mongolian beef. I'm thinking the quality has gone downhill. We used to come here about every other week but since moving across town we come more so for "special occasions". We came in on Saturday around 4pm. We were seated right away, and handed menus. No one came to get our drink order for about 12 minutes, we had decided that at the 15 minute mark we would leave and go somewhere else. After getting drinks, two sodas. We put in our order. A mango roll and orange chicken with rice. Aside from our food being brought to our table no one came to check on us again. Our $3 sodas never got refilled. Our water never got refilled. The mango roll was really good. But the orange chicken was really bland. In the past I would rave about the orange chicken here. Loved the super kind host at the front. They Explained to us how they were very careful about celiacs and gluten free foods at the restaurant. Sushi was excellent and very fresh. Very tasty and presentation was lovely. Gluten free aspect. Very clean and on point and knowledgeable about the gluten free options. From the moment our food hit the table and our server vanished like a ninja into the night, we knew we were in for a journey, a lonely, dehydrated, wine-less journey. Took them 8 minutes to seat us even though the place wasn't very busy, they were rude to my gf when she picked up a paper at the front while we were waiting to be seated. Didnt give us spoons for our miso soup, told us we had to drink it out of the bowl. Miso soup: green onions too bitter 6/10 california roll: 7/10 nothing crazy just avg cali roll crunch roll: 2/10 cucumber in it was very watery, and the tempura shrimp in it was soggy ribs: 4/10 onions were raw and not cooked, very chewy I felt like the waitresses were prejudiced against me and my gf just because we are relatively young/ teenager age, takes them nearly 10 minutes to seat us and doesn't properly greet us and scolds my gf for picking up the paper menus at the front desk. on the other hand the people that came before us were greeted really nicely and got seated instantly. The service was quick and did an excellent job! Staff was really friendly. It was a little loud in there but it's decorated nicely and the lighting is gentle. I really like the ambiance of this place, It almost feels most like a late night lounge. The dark and cream furniture, the dim lighting, the drapes and curtains everywhere. I like the display of shotglasses in the front also. It makes me get the sense that this place possibly get very busy in the evenings. Their menu is very basic. I wasn't too impressed with their sushi options. We did end up ordering the Serious Jamie of all the rolls. It was alright, nothing too memorable about the roll. They serve you miso soup and a sweetened ginger sesame salad before you receive your food. I thought this was very nice. Soup was expected, but the salad was swimming in dressing, almost overwhelming. I liked the gesture yet, the salad wasn't enjoyable. I've tried to love this place as Anchorage doesn't have high quality sushi options in my opinion. The food here feels on the quality side though it is a bit more expensive for what you get. The service was unaccommodating the times I have been here. I asked for a lemon for my water and the waitress told me that they had no lemons, then when we ordered a sushi boat, the boat came with lemons. Lol. On a separate occasion I asked for crab to be omitted from the roll and the waitress told me that the rolls were PREMADE & the rolls could not be made without the crab. That confused me because I usually go to sushi restaurants for fresh sushi, for a premade roll I go to cars. Everytime I go here I just leave sad and disappointed. This used to be my favorite place for Mongolian Beef (they call it Green Beef). We went there this afternoon and were the first patrons of the day. We knew what we wanted and ordered right away. Another couple came in about 10 minutes after us. They received their food before us. I tracked down our waitress (she was in the back) and she said the cook just arrived (almost 30 minutes after they opened) and that the other customers had ordered sushi and the sushi chef was there on time. We finally got our food 45 minutes after we ordered (2 Green Beef and Chicken Fried Rice). The waitress never came to check on us and see if we needed anything else. No refill of water or soda. I had to track her down again to get a to go box and our bill. The food was good, once we got it, but the service was horrible. A month ago when we went the service was not good but I figured it was probably just an off day. Obviously subpar service has become the norm. read more

Let me just say to be sure to have an empty stomach before you get here, we had about 4 rolls & the gyoza but seriously our of all the rolls our favorite was the mango paradise which was basically a California roll topped with more crab meat & mango bits & OMG they stacked that roll up. I came in with a Sushi and Sushi giftcard and was told that I can not use it. There is no expiration date on the card or anything saying I have a certain amount of time to use it. I also went online to check the balance and the full balance is still on the card. The lady helping me said I can't use it because it's to old and is not for their new location. I didn't know that because a location changes so does the honoring of a giftcard for the business changes. The inside of this building is gorgeous. When I walked in I was shocked that this was even in Anchorage. The food was americanized sushi which is pretty much what most sushi restaurants in Anchorage serve. The price seemed on the higher end and there was a fee for paying with a card. We ordered the Serious Jamie roll and the Kiss of Fire roll. I will say the price probably reflects that most the rolls are entirely meat, no cucumber or other filler ingredients. My brother absolutely loved the Kiss of Fire roll, it was deep fried but wasn't so heavy that he felt uncomfortable after the meal. We received a pineapple salad and miso soup after we ordered which was nice. The pineapple salad dressing was sweet and creamy which is unique but delicious. Hello. Today we had sushi for the second time at this restaurant. I'm amazed how a good establishment can be ruined so badly by its employees. The food is excellent, the sushi is delicious, the miso soup is excellent. But! their waiters are ‍‍‍. we came in with small children, asked to be seated on the sofa, to which we received a displeased look and were told that everything was reserved, although they opened 5 minutes ago. then we managed to sit on the sofa, we were given a menu and the waitress disappeared for 30 minutes, she simply ignored us. She went around collecting menus from the tables, and didn't even ask if we wanted to drink something. 30 minutes passed, we couldn't stand it, we called another woman, they took our order, and when the order was brought (after 30 minutes), mind you, there were almost no people. They didn't bring half the food, simply because they forgot! OMG. guys, change your employees, this is no good. we will not visit this place until there are normal people served there. it's horrible. read more
