I've tried to look up this new place, but not having luck using that name. Guess I'll have to physically go to Asian Square to find them. But as for my order, I wasn't able to eat it until I got home,but once I did, it was as good as I remember from prior visits. The Chow Kwai Teow wasn't greasy which I have found to be the case at other places that offer it. The Belacan Green Beans were spicy and slightly overcooked. I like my green beans a bit more crunchy, especially when cooked Asian style. All in all, I love their food!

The portions are considerably big so enough to share between 3 people comfortably. The crispy noodles were savory with lots of vegetables on top and even some shrimp and chicken (which wasn't specified in the name)! The laksa was also deliciously spicy and aromatic. What could have made it slightly better is if it had more coconut milk but otherwise great! Definitely ready for my next trip back and recommend others to give them a shot!

Truth be told, it wasn't even hot... more medium with a bunch of chili flakes that settled at the bottom of the container. My soup was mostly all broth and barely any veggies. I expected a lot more from this especially since I didn't choose a protein. It should've been packed with veggies. I'm a big fan of tom yum, so this was pretty disappointing. The other item I ordered was the fresh basil roll with shrimp & peanut sauce. It was nicely wrapped and a good portion (two big rolls). However, it should've come with two portions of dipping sauce (one barely cut it). I should've asked for both peanut sauce and hoisin sauce. Sadly, the ratios here also felt off... mostly all lettuce and not much of any of the other ingredients. I can't speak on ambiance or service since we got takeout, but I'd love to come in and experience it for myself. Prices seem good but I also feel based on my experience, that it's misleading! A bowl of soup and an appetizer for under $15 (my work lunch limit) is pretty good especially when you compare to other places around town. However, my items were kind of just "fluff." In other words, I paid for a roll of mostly lettuce (cheap) and a bowl of mostly broth (also inexpensive). Despite my harsh critique, I feel it must've been an off day or something. The whole restaurant uses the corner suite of the building entirely and curved the whole place to create this decently expansive interior that looks to seat roughly 100 heads. The decor is very homely... almost like a Vietnamese Hobby Lobby threw up in the place... that's not a dig! It's a very welcoming environment. Between the deer head and the Saigon-esque decor, it's a welcoming joint! The service is basic. You get sat. You look at the menu. You order. They bring out the fixins'. You eat. You pay. You leave. I got one refill during my 45 eating time.. The food! Had to order the pho because... it's the most basic standard thing to gauge any all around Viet joint. The pho is the standard that tells you if the place is good. I will say, this place has a far richer, deeper broth. Plus it's fattier as I've noticed a slight sheen to my lips after slurping this broth down. The broth had less cinnamon and more corriander/cardamom forward flavor than other places. It's not a bad thing, just far different than the other places that has a more pronounced cinnamon forward flavor to the broth. This one has more depth and has a far richer taste to it. I do appreciate that they err on the side of serving tendon and tripe in their P10. And the XL is definitely an XL. The noodles did come out stuck together but the broth did take care of. I was a little disappointed that they had to opt with lemons instead of the traditional limes and they did not have basil at my visit. Maybe next time they will when I visit because I will have to make a visit again just to try the pho to make sure it's not a one off but that they stay consistent. Overall this place is comparable to some of the popular ones in and around the Norcross/Duluth area. The prices are definitely comparable with this joint's XL being at $17.95, it's definitely comparable to other places, but the identities of the restaurants are different and this one has an interior that stands out above the rest.
