First visit here this past weekend and it will be my last. This is getting a 1 star rating for the simple fact that we encountered a rude staff member who told us that all the sections of the restaurant were reserved. We spoke to another staff member to see if we can sit in the corner until the party that was supposed to come to their reserved section. She said to us that we would be able to sit there for the time being. As the night went on, the party that had reserved the section never showed up. (Red flag #1) second thing was the fact that if you change your hookah after 2 times you would get charged an extra $8 to make the change. (Red flag #2). Only thing that was good about this establishment was the belly dancer who was the entertainment for the night. Other than that, the place was not worth being there. I am a big fan of Kan Zaman. It is a nice quiet spot, great for studying, independent work, meetings, interviews, etc. The service is great and their food is delicious. I personally have no limiting dietary restrictions and have enjoyed their menu thus far. A personal favorite is the quesadilla and sweet avocado shake. Do note that this isn't a 'bar,' so they do not sell any hard liquors or cocktails, just your usual beers or seltzers. Their hookah is smooth and they're very attentive when is comes to refills. I don't go to hookah bars very frequently. But last weekend after a friend's bday party, a big group of us went here. It has been years since I have been here, and I liked the changes. The seating is much more comfy compared to years ago. The service is great and they let you chill out until you want to leave. We had two separate tables so when we were leaving we gave the money to our friends at the other table, the employees were very accommodating and they didn't seem annoyed with separate orders etc. My friend Nadia ordered a watermelon juice/smoothie which was actually really refreshing. It didn't taste artificial and overly sweet. I tasted some of hers, and I would order it in the future. I ordered the Mediterranean staple, the mint tea. Theirs is strong and good. Very chill, lowkey, literally a vibe. I love the booths that they have because the couches are super comfortable and a large group can fit. If you have a large group, call ahead and maybe reserve a booth. You may not find an available booth if you walk in during a busy evening. The hookah here is perfect and very inexpensive! I absolutely love love all the flavors! Blueberry Mint may be one of my favorite flavors; I've tried a number of flavors. I don't do much hookah anymore, but whenever my friends want to go I usually join them just to enjoy the vibe. The employees are great with ensuring you have fresh coal, without asking. I don't usually eat here but I have had the wings and fries. They have lemon pepper fries and wings which are delicious. No alcohol is served. There's TVs, decent music, great hookah, etc. Also, they have a rewards program that you get points towards if you sign up and give them your number each time you visit/pay. The best thing they have here is the Hookah which is a relief lol. The pan flavor is the absolute best! Very nice, sort of minty, and the flavor is strong. The reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because of the food service. Their employees are very nice but every time I order food, my order gets messed up and I end up having something else delivered to the table. This happened twice in the same sitting and once a previous time. I ordered the garlic chicken wrap and ended up getting served a mozzarella cheese stuffed wrap. When I told the waitress it was the wrong one she said, "Oh my, I am so sorry I think I gave you someone else's order". Ok, fine, people make mistakes and besides she was very nice. She quickly came with what she said was the correct order. What she brought me was a chicken and cheese wrap. Mind you the garlic chicken comes with garlic sauce, tomato, cucumber and lettuce. I ordered from here on DoorDash last night and was dissapointed. The item description of the cheeseburger said nothing about it coming with fries, so I ordered fries for $5, and ended up getting fries with the burger without me knowing. The burger itself was completely charred, looked and smelled disgusting. The bun was also way too large, and they put on mayo even though I specifically asked for it to be ommitted. Overall, I didn't have a positive experience with Kan Zaman, but I am not too upset. I ordered minutes to closing, and the fact that they even made the order and that it was timely delivered, was great. There is definitely potential in this restraunt and I will be coming back soon. Hopefully Kan Zaman will get some great stuff going. read more
