We came around 7PM on a Wednesday. The staff was friendly, and they served our food quickly. The food was authentic and delicious. The restaurant had a clean, family-style atmosphere. Even though they were about to close at 8:30 PM, they patiently waited for us to finish checking out and boxing up our leftover food to go. This place was so good! I haven't had jokbal before and when I saw they specialize in it here I was eager to come try. We didn't realize that they are now open for dine in too so called in to place a takeout order ahead of time. We got the jokbal and bossam combo as well as the spicy jokbal to share amongst the 4 of us, which ended up being the perfect amount of food. It came with a bunch of the classic sides like lettuce wraps, radish kimchi, a few sauces, and garlic and jalapeno. The meats were really well cooked - soft and tender and made the perfect wrap! I think my favorite was actually the spicy jokbal as the sauce was the perfect savory-sweetness that was quite addicting. We've been eyeing this shop every time we've visited Boohan for groceries, and finally decided to grab something for a quick meal. It seems like the shop is run by an older couple, who seemed friendly when we stopped by within the last hour before closing. The shop itself has no frills and is definitely geared towards takeout as there are no tables for dining, just chairs for waiting. We decided to share the large bossam, which comes with the radish kimchee, shrimp seasoning, raw garlic and peppers, ssamjang and cabbage for wrapping. The total with tip came out to about $40+, which I would say is pretty standard for bossam for two. We both thought it tasted great, and will be back to order some more bossam in the future! read more

The jokbal was better than bossam since the bossam was dry. Also the jokbal had a five spice flavor FYI. The radish was not tasty and they give lettuce instead of cabbage(just my preference). Have been passing by whilst shopping at Boo Han market and the pictures on the window look amazing. But tonight, my darling son is so thoughtful and brought this home. We enjoyed every bite. We didn't have to have rice. The wraps were perfect and filling on its own. It's very flavorful and lean, as well as juicy. The sauces are amazing while we made wraps with these slices of meat.The crunch and the aromas were very satisfying. I recommend. $40 give or take. Solid! We came here on a Tuesday night on a holiday so it was not busy at all. The restaurant is pick up only. There is no indoor seating. The man behind the counter was very nice. We ordered jokbal (pig trotter) and drove 20 minutes back home. The meat was room temperature by the time we ate it. It was pretty good. . I would say it is as good as the one I ate in Korea. There is about two pig trotters worth of meat. It also came with radish kimchi, garlic, shrimp sauce, soybean paste, and lettuce. I preferred the soybean paste over the shrimp sauce. The food was nicely packaged. Pricing was reasonable. It can feed hungry two adults. Would I eat here again? Yes. It was delicious and there is no where else in Seattle with decent jokbal. They provided a punch card so if you spend like $300 worth of jokbal you get $20 dollars off the next meal. Not a big incentive but maybe if somebody really likes it. I thought I didn't like jokbal until my grandma dropped this off at our house and I was not stop eating the whole plate off. The samjang is cocaine and the lettuce they give is the crunchiest and perfectly shaped to ship in your mouth like a boat haha! I'm so happy this place exists. It's the most affordable bossam you can get in the area. The small portion will easily feed 2 people and it's roughly 19 bucks. They also do a stamp program where you get 20 dollars off after 10 purchases. My partner and I got the pork belly this time, but I definitely want to try the pig trotter next time. The large portion will run you roughly 35 bucks. You'll also find that the pork comes with a bag of lettuce, one box of pickled radish, and a small box that includes the sauces and garlic/ jalapeños. Delicious! We got a large pork trotter and small pork belly. Both were really good but I think I liked the pig trotter better. Each order came with kimchi and lettuce with chilis, garlic, and a fermented bean and shrimp dipping sauce. Probably could have come with more lettuce for the amount of meat it came with, but it was more than enough to get through our meal. So unctuous but still fresh and crisp with the lettuce and kimchi. The food came really fast and they were really nice, giving us free sodas with out meal since it was our first time. Highly recommend! read more

I travel about 45 min (with no traffic) to get Kang's jokbal and bossam. The quality of both meat are good, portions are great, and priced very reasonably. I have gotten their food for about five+ times total starting last year (two times in month of May) and the quality or portion have not changed. I can't be a frequent flier, but whenever I crave for jokbal or bossam, I always come to this location cause I know they are good and worth a trip! read more
