Nice ambiance and music, very friendly staff. Ramen was good. One thing - it doesn't come customized with spice levels. You have to make it spicy yourself unless you get the mystery ramen (which I did). Overall nice cute ramen place :)

I was very excited when a ramen place opened up in easy walking distance of my house. The restaurant is very prettily decorated and comfortable. The tonkatsu was delicious, not too salty or greasy. The chashu was meaty and tender and there were lots of noodles. I will definitely go back to try the other items on the menu. The only downside was that it took a while for the food to come out, but it was worth the wait.

Mystery ramen - very good. $13.95

Update as of 4/2024 : FOOD POISONING, DIARRHEA! !!! OMG it went downhill !!! I'm so sad the quality is so different when they first opened. I just had some ramen and the egg is SOUR !! The bamboo taste like it's been sitting out too long and starting to get rancid. Broth doesn't have the complex depths of flavor. The price is cheap $12.95, compared to other ramen stores in the area $16.95, but I will NOT be coming back for a long while. Hope the owners fix their practices, because what they're serving is not fresh or safe. So unfortunate because this is one of the few places that opens late and fits my schedule.

Such a cute place. I'm surprised not a lot of people seem to know about it. I loved the crab fries. And the noodle consistency is perfect.

Looking forward to their grand opening at cherry hill. They have a good selection of ramens, buns, karaage, and dumplings.

(Side note is I…read moregrew up about a mile away from here andI I used to walk or ride my bike to this shopping center.) Anyway, one orders and pays from Genji separately then from Whole Foods. Genji also is credit card only. I have had the ramen a couple of times and it was pretty good but not great. However, it is nice to have this option while in Whole Foods. There are about 5 ramen choices. In addition, Genji offers Bao Buns, Sushi, dumplings and bubble tea. I have had the Bao Buns and their sushi and both again were pretty good. I do find Genji a bit expensive, especially since there is no real servers and the dining/seating area is shared with Whole Foods. There also is a dedicated Ramen shop less the one mile away so I would think their pricing should be more competitive. 3.5 Yelp stars.

Best ramen in the area but not many dedicated ramen joints locally. Very friendly front end staff…read more I had the shoyu ramen and some hibiscus iced tea. Ramen, at least for me and in my humblest of opinions, is affected by the quality of several components. -The richness and depth of flavor of the broth -Texture and way the noodles hold up -appeal of plating -quality of accompaniments -utensils The ramen here is plated nicely, the shoyu egg cooked perfectly and the broth is pretty good - not itoxicasting or addictive like what I have come to expect but pretty good. I give this place extra marks because the execution and eating experience is well above average in thoughtfulness. Your meal comes served on a nice wooden tray, a mini mortar and pestle is provided so that you can grind your own sesame seed, fried garlic and pepper flakes, the soup spoon is a nice size and shallow enough with barely graded circumference of the spoon to prevent chin drips, cuz ummm why waste even one dribble of broth and the chopsticks are nicely ribbed for your eating pleasure. Ahem, no dirty thoughts here, just think about it. Noodles are slippery so the ribbing/design creates the perfect utensil to grab those noodles and transfer with minimum casualty to your anxiously awaiting mouth. All of these factors added up makes Genji Ramen a solid 4 star experience. Don't be skeptical because it is located inside of Whole foods. The dining area is open and great for people watching and you can fill your belly then grab a cart and shop away!!!

I got the congee with salted pork and century egg as well as the beef chow fun. My husband ordered the specialty wonton soup and scallion pancakes. My MIL got some vegetable dumplings and shrimp wonton soup and my FIL got the Singapore noodles. The congee was so tasty and came out in a large bowl, but our server got us smaller bowls to share it. It was so tasty and nostalgic and reminded me of my family's cooking. The beef chow fun was tasty as well. My husband's soup was delicious and came with a wide mix of everything. The dumplings were so good and you can tell they are made fresh. The Singapore noodles were flavored very well and there was a great balance between the curry + spice. The scallion pancakes were nice and crispy. The dishes all possessed very traditional Cantonese Chinese flavors! It was pretty slow when we came in, but the place started getting crowded quick and they were pumping out a lot of take out orders. The service was good and place was nicely decorated inside for dining in. I would definitely go back next time we visit my husband's family!
