Absolutely fantastic dinner! The restaurant was clean and well lit. Our server was extremely friendly and had a great personality. I ordered the hummus platter and a vanilla shake. It was delicious. The falafel was fantastic! The shake was dairy free because its a kosher place. WINNING!!! AWESOME!! I'd highly recommend this place for anyone who loves to eat.

We have been waiting for a delicious burger restaurant for a long time. Having lived on the East Coast for a few years and eaten at tons of burger places I have to say that Kantina is great! The Kantina burger was delicious and so was the soup of the day. The HAND MADE burger came with pulled beef on top of the meat and that was DELICIOUS. The meat was seasoned really well and burger assembly was spot on. The bread was super tasty and fresh. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The food came out in a timely fashion and the items are priced appropriately. We're super excited that Kantina has chosen to make Cleveland her home!

Clearly falafel and wings. Not falafel PLATTER. Clearly WINGS not schnitzel.

Incompetent. Placed an order via DoorDash, and order was sent completely wrong. Order chicken wings instead got " schnitzel" receipt from DoorDash said chicken wings . Restaurant receipt said schnitzel . Call DoorDash to get the correct item delivered. They sent the wrong item again and charged us for it. Again doordash email said chicken wings and receipt with delivery said schnitzel. HOW DO YOU SCREW UP A SCREW UP?!?? Long story short, charged twice for the wrong item received the wrong item twice. Plus my order was falafel wrap, was given falafel platter. That one I kept and just ate it but it just shows the whole order was wrong. Now we have no lunch and A double charge. Pass on this one folks. **I HAVE RECEIPT FROM DOORDASH THAT SAYS I ORDERED WINGS. A RECIPT FROM THE RESTAURANT THAT SAYS SCHNITZEL BUT THE RESTAURANT IS BASICALLY CALLING ME A LIAR. I POST THE RECEIPT WITH FALAFEL AND WINGS ON IT AND PROVE WHO THE LIAR HERE IS. *** There it is folks. All the proof you need. I clearly ordered wings and was sent schnitzel TWICE!! *** final edit- door dash never refunded the money, and blocked my emails. Had to go to the bank and dispute the charge. In other words, two weeks later and this is still going on!!! ****

Kantina is an excellent option if you are looking for a nice place to eat. They have a friendly staff and a good selection of food to choose from. I ordered the falafel sandwich and potato crisps. The falafel was well cooked but not dry although the bread on the sandwich could have been toasted a little bit. The potato crisps looked very nice but they could have benefited from some seasoning. Overall excellent meal and for 6.99 it is competitive with surrounding eateries.

Onion Beef soup - heart, hot, delicious! Kantina has great food, prompt and friendly service and a clean, welcoming space. Eat here!

Subpar food. Super slow service. Doubt they'll be in business as an independent establishment.

Jack's Deli is an Eastern European/Jewish deli that's been a part of the community since the…read more1980's. The original owner grew up in then Czechoslovakia and brought a part of home to the US. Recently the deli was acquired by the Cleveland Restaurant Group. I've been visiting the deli for over half a decade when I crave Eastern European meals. Lately I've been less enthusiastic about visiting due to food changes. RECENT CHANGES: The deli operations have remained unchanged from the customer standpoint. There is still restaurant area and deli. The menu is the same. The hours of operating were reduced with few dinner times remaining. The food recently drastically worsened seemingly due to ingredients. Soups especially took a hit tasting more artificial. ATMOSPHERE: Casual, old style, mom and pop atmosphere. Most guests are families. The front of the business is a deli where you can order your goodies and pay at the counter. The back is the restaurant where you can get seated by the host who is located by the deli. The layout makes entry and exit challenging. FOOD: I always take my food to go, and never dined at the restaurant. I previously ordered many dishes and to be honest can't remember them all. All were good. As a result, I'll talk about my latest order. - Cabbage Borscht ($11.75 for a quart) - I'm from the country who invented borscht and had many borschts in my life from different countries. This is not borscht. It has no beets. It's a vegetable cabbage soup. The menu does not indicate this is a spicy soup, the receipt indicates "hot cabbage soup." The soup is spicy which borscht never is. Worst of all, there is a very strong hint of canned tomatoes or some tomato paste. I couldn't eat more than two spoons of this soup due to artificial flavor. It's very poorly made. It's hard to name this homemade soup as listed in the menu because of artificial ingredients. Real tomatoes would drastically improve this soup. - Mushroom Barley ($11.75) - The soup wasn't pleasant. It tastes slimy. I think that the problem is the base is some vegetable puree. I didn't enjoy it. - Knishes ($7.90 x 2) - I love knishes here and they taste the same as before. Very heavy on the meat (Rueben in my case) and delicious. To be very honest they don't always feel fresh but I love them just the same. SERVICE: Service is average. The guys at the deli aren't too warm or friendly. The checkout people are always nice. There is clearly some miscommunication between the kitchen and the front of the house. Items are frequently promised but then denied. The front of the house seems to not know at all what's available in the back. There has to be some communication or inventory tool to fix this. It's confusing to the first time customers. It's also confusing to me with every order. PARKING: Plenty of parking available with two entrances and exits. The main entry from Cedar Road is the easiest. Stay vigilant as you navigate the parking lot, there are some narrow parts and alleys with two way traffic. The one differentiating factor of this restaurant was its homemade appeal. Everything tasted like someone's Eastern European grandma shared the recipe and prepared the food. Now the food is tasting commercial and lost its initial appeal. I'll be back to Jack's Deli for the deli (knishes) but won't be ordering any restaurant items again.

The menu is the same, the staff is pleasant, and it is clean, but you can feel it's a different place. My LEO was horribly overcooked, as was the veg omelette. Weird to overcook eggs when the place was half-full at 11:00. I need to return and try the CB and pastrami before I make a decision about how the new owners are doing. I do hate paper signs and they were all over the front deli cabinet.

My wife had a quite fine Cabernet as I had one of the many beers on their list. Disappointingly, every one of the "Mendel's favorite" beers were out of stock, but I found one eventually! The Restaurant at lunch was not terribly busy, although we got there on the very early side. The service was outstanding and friendly. Parking was extremely easy to come by behind the building. The BBQ salad dish is really terrific and was more than sufficient as a lunch meal itself. The texture and taste of beans and barbecue and coleslaw and fried onions and pickles was a perfect blend. Really fine. The pico fries were so substantial that we ate some and took quite a few home. The taste was perfect. The ambience includes a funky blend of 1980s top 40 music and a big screen TV playing random international sports. Definitely will go back.

As much as I wanted to love Milky Way, it wasn't for me for various reasons. The cafe is spacious and casual. You order at the counter and seat yourself, which keeps things simple and quick. You can also order at the tablets located by the checkout for self-service. It seemed like a go to location for the Jewish community with a lot of guests dining in and socializing. This community building was great to witness. The cafe has everything - to-go options, bagels, bread (lots of choices), pizza, smoothies, calzones, and more. I included pictures of the menu. I ordered two coffees, chocolate pastry, cheese danish, and Kani salad from the to go fridge. Coffees were self-serve and tasted like some cheap ground coffee. Chocolate pastry and cheese danish looked really tasty. But both were stale, I'd say a few days old. I would really enjoy them if they were fresh, they were really big. Kani bowl reminded me of poke bowl but with imitation crab. The idea was amazing, portion very generous but execution not so much. The rice was not fully cooked, and again the whole thing tasted like it was in the fridge for a while. It had sell by date or 5/7. It's too bad nothing was fresh, this food really had potential. I saw several people takeout pizza so maybe that's a better choice at this cafe. Service was not friendly at all. Not to the guests who seemed new not to those who seemed regulars. When I asked questions about pastries, it was somewhat dismissive. It just wasn't a pleasant interaction. I was disappointed. If you're in the area and looking for a meat-free or kosher option, Milky Way might be a good cafe to checkout. Perhaps stop by for a pizza or earlier in the morning for fresher food.
