    Mulligatawny soup
    Hussain L.

I came by on an weekend afternoon where there was no rush and pormpt service by the staff. I appreciate it the heads up by the staff member that one of my dishes would take 20 to 25 minutes versus 10 to 15 minutes depending on how I got it cooked. I went with the chicken momos tandoori style medium (fastest type) and it was beautifully seasoned, the spicy sauce added a nice kick, but not overwhelming. The mulligatawny soup was excellent appetizer, filled with curried spices and easy to drink. This could even be a main dish if you add rice. If you like daal, and are looking for something different, I recommend this lentil soup! There's a lot of sunlight and multiple tables of 4 at the restaurant for dine in. I'm not ready to crown this place as the best Indian food in Cambridge, but I will definitely be back to make that determination!

This place has offered amazing food every time we visit. During peak hours there might be a little wait time but its worth it! Got the paneer tikka and gobi manchurian. The paneer tikka is so rich, comes with chutney and tastes so much of ghee (clarified butter) i love it. Gobi manchurian is great too but a little spicy and a little oily, but I would order again because the taste was delicious!

The food here was amazing!!! We tried a bunch of stuff with a mix of chicken and pure veggie. The service was very nice and attentive. Ambiance was just ok, it was a bit cold but no frills overall

Amazing food. Great service. Feels like home honestly. The people there were so nice and welcoming. And the food is so good. Must try the chili momos

Amazing food and great service as well. This is a pretty small restaurant, but it was fairly quiet when we went for a Wednesday dinner. Chicken Korma: very tasty, very smooth. Super rich and we slurped up every last bit. Kantipur Wings: this was my favorite dish. The wings are charred to perfection... And those charred parts taste freaking amazing. SO well-seasoned and delicious Kothe Momo: these are the half steamed half fried kind. The momos are delicious, and the sauces definitely elevate them to the next level. The inside is tender and savory and the dumpling skins also have the right amount of chew. A bit on the pricier side, but definitely reasonable. A worthy contender to Himalayan Kitchen in Somerville.

Loved every bit of their momo. The curries that accompanies the Momos could have been a little spicier. 3 stars because of their delay in serving order every time. Try out their Chicken kothe, Veg johl & Chilli Momos. I wouldn't order Mutton sukuti. It was too hard and dry. PROS: Momos Momos Momos Uses re-usable cutlery CONS: Hard to find a Parking space Takes a lot of time to serve the order. Very long! Mutton sukuti

I had to try the tandoori momos because so many people seem to get them here! I was pretty impressed by the menu prices, since everything seemed reasonable. Standard steamed chicken or vegetable momos were $7.45 on Uber Eats, and tandoori momos were $2 extra for $9.45. Still not a bad price at all. I also ordered the bara (black lentil patties, $6.95), sukuti (lamb meat jerky, $10.95), and kantipur wings ($7.95). The momos came with two very flavorful sauces. I'm not sure what is in the sauces but their flavor profiles were very different from each other. The sauces are not spicy at all. The tandoori momos were super fun because the charred wrapper had a crunchy, crispy texture. The filling itself was very tasty but a bit dry (possibly from getting baked). I HIGHLY recommend the kantipur wings! The order came with 6 of them, and they were so flavorful that they did not need any sauce. The wings were covered with yummy spices. I had never had lamb jerky in a dish before. I loved the sukuti. The meat was coated in this amazingly spiced onion sauce. I should have ordered some rice because the sukuti was very flavorful and would have been great with rice. The bara order came with two patties. I was worried that they would be dry-- they were not dry at all and were nice and fluffy! I enjoyed dipping them in the sauce that came with the momos. Looking forward to trying more of their Indian and Nepali dishes!

Do not let its small, modest exterior fool you! Just a visitor in this area but I wouldn't be surprised if this was a go-to place for all the locals around here. Though service was a bit slow (which is understandable since they were very busy), everyone was super friendly and the food was well worth the wait. MOMOS: A must try!! We ordered the tandoori chicken momos and they were amazing-- so perfectly crispy and pan-fried with warm, delicious, meaty filling. It also came with two sauces that paired very well with the momos. It seems like the momos are THE THING to get in these restaurant since almost every table had an order of these. As someone who grew up eating Chinese food, they kind of reminded me of pan-fried XLBs! CURRY: honestly whatever you order, it's gonna be good. We got the chicken and lamb and they were all so well flavored and spiced-- I certainly can't think of anything wrong with them. It was a dream with the naan. SAAG PANEER: Usually not something on the top of my list of things to order at an Indian restaurant but it's probably because I have never had particularly tasty ones until I came here. So buttery and cheesy!

I see this place pop up on so many delivery apps. I finally decided to order from here using Yelp delivery. There was something about the bright red/orange momos - chicken tandoori momos that called to me. It ordered the hot tandoori chicken momos and chicken chow mein. I also got a masala chai. The food arrived within 30-40 mins and was still hot when it arrived. The momos were so soft on the inside and charred crunchy on the outside. It came with two sauces. I was expecting them to be more spicy, but at least it wasn't bland. I'd definitely go back for these momos. The chow mein was average but had loads of veggies and grilled chicken. The masala chai was definitely one of the best in the Boston area. I also saw they do sweet lassi and many types of biryani. I'll definitely be back to try those.

This small place is a hidden gem! Visited here while in trip to Boston, amazed with the authenticity of the food. One must try their lunch thali (potatoes, soybean protein, beaten rice, bhatmas)!!

Great service and tasty food! The momos are quite popular and for good reason- the steamed chicken momos were really flavorful and juicy, paring well with the two chutneys. The samosa chaat is extremely flavorful with a ton of chickpeas and is actually the same size minus rice as our entrees. The chicken curry and the paneer kadhai were pretty standard and not too special (decent spice though). The staff were friendly and welcoming and the cafe is pretty cozy with tons of paintings and decor. I will definitely be back for the momos and to try other items!

Came back again when visiting - still so tasty! This time I ate with friends and we also got the tandoori chicken (very spicy but succulent!) and the vegetable somasa's (delicious and flaky). I recently became gluten free so the soup, pakora and tandoori chicken was gluten free and tasty. Pickup was fast and everything is reasonably priced

I'd heard Waverly had one of the better burgers around, so when a friend was visiting for Sail Boston, we made the short trip off the more traveled streets to see if it lived up to the reputation. I'm glad we did. Waverly is tucked away on a quiet side street in Charlestown, and that's part of the charm. The dining room is small, warm, and comfortably lived in. Nothing about it feels manufactured. The decor has an old soul without feeling dated, almost like it has been there longer than it actually has. Later I learned that's intentional. The restaurant takes its name from the historic Waverly House, a grand Charlestown hotel from the 1800s, and was designed to capture the feeling of the neighborhood's historic brownstones rather than chase the latest restaurant trend. The room felt like it belonged to Charlestown. Most of the people inside looked like they could walk home after dinner. That's the kind of place I always hope to find when visiting a neighborhood, somewhere that serves the people who live there first, and everyone else second. We asked for a window table, and the staff happily accommodated us. It's a small gesture, but one that made us feel welcomed instead of processed. The burger justified the trip on its own. I added the sunny-side-up egg, but the real star was the bacon-onion jam. It pulled everything together without overpowering the beef. The burger itself was tender, the sesame brioche somehow managed to hold everything together, and I appreciated the choice of Vermont white cheddar and Grillo's pickles. Those aren't flashy ingredients, they're just the right ones. Seeing Downeast Cider on tap certainly didn't hurt either. What impressed me most wasn't that Waverly was trying to reinvent the neighborhood burger. It wasn't. It simply executed it exceptionally well, with enough confidence to let good ingredients and thoughtful choices do the talking. Charlestown wouldn't just lose a burger if Waverly disappeared. It would lose one of those neighborhood places that quietly makes a neighborhood feel like itself. You come for a well executed meal, but you leave feeling like you've experienced a small piece of Charlestown. Places like that are a lot harder to replace than a good menu.

I really, really, REALLY wanted pancakes. The website said brunch goes until 3. We get there at 2:50. They said they were no longer serving brunch and they've moved to their limited menu, because brunch ends at 3. You can imagine the puzzled look on our faces when they told us it ended at 3pm but it's still 2:50pm. They said we would have been fine if we were 5 minutes earlier. Weird that 2:45 is fine but 2:50 is not. We were annoyed, to say the least. But we were hungry, we didn't know what else was around, we needed to eat, and it already took us 30 minutes to get here in an Uber. Two guys came in after us, also before 3, who were also really excited for brunch. They too were shut down. We ordered off the limited menu. It was okay. It was fine. But that's not the point. If brunch ends at 2:45, then say it ends at 2:45. Don't say it ends at 3pm and then shut people down because it secretly closes earlier. I get that you guys want to switch the kitchen over and prep for dinner, but serve the food you say you're going to serve at the time you're going to serve them. Nobody came in after us and the other party that was also in before 3, so it's not like there was some never ending rush of people trying to get brunch. I also don't recall anyone else coming in before we left probably an hour. Poor communication and poor customer service.

Huge shoutout to Eduardo, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our sisters holiday outing feel special and intentional, and to our server Paulina, who was attentive, warm, and truly wanted everything to be perfect. And it was. Let's talk ambiance first because whew. Chic. Stylish. Aesthetic on aesthetic. Even the walk to the bathroom felt curated. Ladies... the mirror alone deserves a moment. Full body selfie approved. Now the drinks. The mocktail I had was SO good. Balanced, flavorful, refreshing. I like a mocktail that has flavor and layers without being super sweet. The apps thoughhhhhh! They deserve their own paragraph because baby... The crab rangoon was TO DIE FOR. That old school wrap dough situation? I have been hunting for that exact texture and flavor forever. My fave restaurant switched dough and I haven't had a good Rangoon since then until now. It was crispy, nostalgic, and perfect. The fried egg rolls? Delicious. The pickled cucumbers? Bright and refreshing and er literally ate every drop, lol. But the WINNER... those fall off the bone ribs. I might have made a sound when I bit into them. Cooked to perfection. A full blown flavor party in my mouth. The scallion pancakes were the only thing that did not hit for me. The dough was thicker and heavier than I prefer. I love mine light and airy like traditional scallion pancakes. If they leaned that way I would have been obsessed. Our main courses... baybeeee The Dan Dan noodles... I did not even get a bite. I went to ask my sister for a taste and they were GONE. All of them. That says everything. My other sister loved the dumplings and even more that they fried them for her instead of serving them traditionally. And the sauce with those dumplings... Let me tell you about the sauce. I am OBSESSED. I took some home and Eduardo generously gave me more to take. That is top tier service and an at home sauce party, lol. My fried house rice was excellent. The mix of veggies and flavors was perfection. With everything else we ordered I could not even finish it. And then... dessert. Eduardo and Paulina surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake that was so light and decadent, topped with fruit and homemade whipped cream. Next time I am absolutely saving space for that. The customer service was truly top tier. The decor, the food, the staff, the background music. Everything PERFECT. My sisters and I sat for hours. We laughed. We ate. We shared emotions. We were present. That alone tells you how comfortable and welcoming this space is. I would go back today. I cannot wait to bring my husband and some of my fellow foodies. Overall, the location, setting and concept of brunch all day is great. Could the plate look more exciting? Yes. Could my server been more kind? Yes. Could my server actually served my daughter and I? Yes. Could I have gotten refill on my coffee? Yes. My server did the bare minimum which I find annoying. I just feel like for a beautiful venue the service didn't match it's vibe. My server was far from bright, colorful and happy. I look forward to heading back to Boise today for a real breakfast with real portions and real potatoes. I could have saved 50 bucks and got a meal at McDonald's for the same portions and service I got today.

During a time-crunched Boston day, my girlfriends and I struggled to find a brunch place to eat in…read moreBoston the day of (lesson learned for us)!, but we were 1000% lucky that we got one of the last few morning spots at Sunnyside All Day Brunch Cafe on a Saturday! Walking in, it was ABSOLUTELY packed and super busy, but luckily with our reservation, we were seated within 10 minutes! I had been CRAVING Chicken and Waffles and BOY it did not disappoint! I was served with the most perfectly made waffle with butter that just fell into the crevices and melted along with the most PERFECTLY CRISPY CHICKEN! I was extremely hungry, so I absolutely devoured it, but it hands down had to have been one of the best Chicken and Waffle plates I've ever had. Although I didn't drink the Espresso Martinins, my friends that did drink it enjoyed it thoroughly. Despite how packed and busy they were, the service was FAST and our waiter was so sweet and attentive and the vibe was just so fun and lively! It was such a wonderful way to start our day in Boston and I 1000% would come back here if I could again!
