I have to say my favorite is now the lasagna with the bolognese sauce on top. My bestie calls it "a hug on a plate". The service staff is always warm and welcoming - Brian, Jessie and Michael are always making sure everything is just right. I can say I've sampled most everything on the menu at this point and been pleased with every dish. Glad to have them back in the neighborhood - definitely a Soma dining staple!

There are a few tables outside the restaurant that are slanted on a small hill and a platform with a few tables on the street. We were seated on a table on the hill and had to be mindful of fluids/sauces filled to the brim. Blankets are also provided on each chair in case it gets breezy outside. The menu is set daily, so the dishes can vary from what's shown in previous photos. After ordering, it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The summer vegetable hash comes with beans, squash, tomatoes, corn, carrots, peppers and eggs. I typically associate hash with potatoes, but surprisingly this dish does not come with potatoes. The dish was fairly mild, with most of the flavor coming from the individual vegetables. It's definitely a lighter, healthier take on hash and would be a good option if you're looking for something with more vegetables. The plow comes with eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, potatoes and choice of meat. The lemon riccota pancakes were the star of the dish- light, fluffy and not too sweet. The potatoes were crispy. The steak + eggs was a hearty option. The steak was tender and juicy and went well with the chermoula sauce. Overall, I'm glad I got to try this restaurant at least once, but hesistant to come back because of the long wait and value of each plate.

We had a dinner reservation at Kapari Restaurant this evening and were very pleased with our experience. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The appetizers were delicious--especially the stuffed meatballs, one of the classics of Turkish cuisine. The hummus and spicy dip were also very well done. For the main course, I tried the Iskender plate, which was truly tasty. It's great to have such authentic and flavorful Turkish food available in San Francisco. We had a wonderful experience at Kapari Restaurant. The Mediterranean flavors were authentic and well executed. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portions were satisfying and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. Our server easily carries the whole place with quick, attentive service and a heart warming smile the whole time. You can tell she cares (I'm guessing she is part of the family that owns it) and excellent service is the result. They have a nice selection of mostly Duckhorn wines (a little rare in Mediterranean places) with some nice Turkish wines also. I enjoyed a carafe of Duckhorn Pinot and the wife had some nice Turkish white. We shared the mezze platter which was done perfectly. We were offered and accepted more pita to scoop up the wonderful mezes. We couldn't resist a side of fries, because if I'm honest the real test of any place is the fries. They were spot on. I opted for the lamb chops. I have grown weary of lamb chops because most places usually gouge you and give you 2 that are somewhat tasty but seem more like an appetizer. Here you will get a full mini rack of 5 small chops which is generous given the price, and more imporantly spiced and cooked to perfection. Accompanied with 2 different sauces, a small portion of roasted potatoes and vegetables, it is an excellent rendition. We also had the red lentil soup which was fantastic. We are delighted to have a new neighborhood spot we both will enjoy.
