They were running a special for $225/player (normally $275) with a 10-day advanced booking. They need a credit card to hold the reservation and you pay upon arrival. We had a 10:50 tee time and everything ran on time and check-in was smooth. Once checked-in, you'll present your receipt to the staffer who will give you a small bucket of balls. They took our clubs at the parking lot stand and placed the clubs on our cart. We grabbed a few clubs and walked over to the grass range, which was in decent shape. The course is great for all skill levels because it's pretty wide open and very well manicured. The rough is cut down pretty low so even if you miss the fairway, you still gotta shot at it. Playing the blues, the course is pretty long but manageable. The greens were in great shape and bunkers were great looking, although luckily I didn't have to play out of any of them. While it's a well maintained course, I thought the layout was kinda boring and predictable. Lots of good views and photo ops around the course, although the course has minimal ocean views. We had some vouchers from our hotel which we could use at the pro shop but not the snack bar. We ended up with a couple of bag tags, ball markers and a logo ball (gift set) which they engrave your name in the bag tag which is pretty cool for $20 for everything. The rest of the pro shop is pretty pricey though. Overall, glad we got to play it. I think the price point is what would keep me from playing again, but it's hard to beat when it's less than 5 minutes from our hotel. We got paired with a great couple, shout out Chuck and Cindy who were also visiting. It made for a memorable and fun day out on the course.

As luck would have it, the person who reached out and was available at the time was the head PGA instructor Oliver. I was a little unprepared (no clubs, no gloves), but Oliver was very much go with the flow and was able to accomodate me. He asked me what I wanted to work on, and that's exactly what we did. I improved immensely, because Oliver was able to quickly diagnose the main problems with my swing and explain in an uncomplicated way (without too many "swing thoughts"). I'm excited to go home and practice/implement the changes to my swing.

We were promised a certain price from the Mizuno Rep (Russ Chong) and he told us Oliver (Island Pacific Golf Academy) would bill us and call us when the clubs came in. A week before the clubs came in, our credit card was charged $400 more than the original price. I tried to get a hold of the Mizuno rep with no response and Oliver keeps giving us the run around. To this day he hasn't given us a refund. This was a hard and expensive lesson to learn. Don't do business with Oliver Oliquiano. From other reviews I've read it seems like he has a habit of ripping people off. Shame on him! Especially in Hawaii where the golf community is so tight knit!

However, in the last couple years this course has gone down hill. The driving range mats desperately need changing out, a lot of them are worn down to the rubber underneath. The rakes near the sand traps are missing handles and the fiberglass is splintered. I will say the grass was great and the greens were really fast but I was still very disappointed in how all the other facilities are used compared to a couple years ago. The food in the restaurant isn't as good as other golf places near by either. The service is outstanding but the food is small in portion and honestly not seasoned well. The bathrooms are very nice though, the staff is awesome, and the amount of rain they have had to make the fairways and greens nice which is what keeps this place going in my opinion. I want it to be so much better! I live close by and this was my home course but am thinking about changing to another course due to Waikele's lack of care for the driving range, sand rakes, and food.

I don't golf, so this review is only for the restaurant/buffet/venue. The parking lot closer to the restaurant has a limited amount of stalls, so I was glad I arrived on-time (and not 'casual' time), I got one of the two empty stalls by the tennis court and some of my friends had to park in a farther lot off to left of the restaurant. Parking is free. The restaurant venue was nice, mostly open-air, including the buffet, which I found a little dismaying with all the flies making a bee-line for the uncovered stuff. The food was one of the most disappointing things I have encountered - beef stew, beef with eggplant and some kind of chicken. Rice was a bit hard because it was left uncovered and dried out pretty quick. Salad looked like it came straight out of the bag. New England Clam Chowder was congealed and flavorless so I had to ask for salt. I don't eat meat or raw fish (they had poke) so I had to rely on salad, clam chowder and rice, which I normally would not mind (I love clam chowder), but the chowder was pretty bad, don't think I had buffet food at a golf course this sub-standard before. Desserts were a lot better; haupia, cake slices and small cheesecakes. The women's bathroom was air conditioned! Plus for that! The venue was just OK, the sound system in there was awful. Not sure if people hosting the event needed to bring their own sound systems or if it belonged to the golf course, but if it was owned by the golf course, they better improve on that! I could not rate this place a 4-star after going to the 5-star Oahu Country Club the next day.

It's a beautiful layout and definitely enjoyable to play. Unfortunately, the customer service, especially from the staff handling the golf carts, was a completely different story. When you try to talk to them, they don't even acknowledge you. My friend attempted to make a simple conversation and was flat-out ignored. No response, no eye contact--nothing. It comes off as extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. At one point, I was waiting to board, and instead of giving any kind of direction, the attendant just threw his hands up like I was supposed to know what to do. No communication at all. That's not how you treat paying customers. I understand everyone has bad days, but if you're working in customer service, basic courtesy is part of the job. If that's something you can't handle, this probably isn't the right line of work. It's disappointing because the course itself is solid, but experiences like this make you think twice about coming back. Good thing I'm not the owner or supervisor because I would terminate all of them and make an example of them.

From our initial inquiry, the level of professionalism and genuine care exhibited by your team truly set your establishment apart. Our exceptional experience began with a simple phone call. The following day, we were delighted to receive a detailed follow-up from Ms. Marie Fujii. Her comprehensive explanation of all available classes, coupled with her proactive text message providing the full schedule and thoughtfully highlighting those best suited for our daughter, was truly remarkable. It was Ms. Fujii's unparalleled dedication to client support and her clear expertise that decisively influenced our choice to entrust our daughter's training to UFC Waikele. This decision led us to the immense privilege of meeting Coach Gabriel and his wife, Felicia. Their profound passion for the art of Jiu Jitsu is truly infectious. In just a single session, they not only imparted critical techniques and strategic insights but also ignited a deeper level of confidence and understanding within our daughter. The depth of knowledge and practical experience she gained, fueled by their exceptional guidance, will undoubtedly be instrumental in her upcoming competition and future growth in the sport. We feel incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with such inspiring mentors. Our daughter's appreciation for Coach Gabriel and Felicia's tutelage is immense, and we are equally grateful for the profound impact they've had. This newfound understanding is a cornerstone for her continued development in Jiu Jitsu. We wholeheartedly endorse UFC Waikele without reservation. While I could elaborate on countless specific moments of exceptional service, I believe the most compelling recommendation is to encourage others to experience firsthand the unparalleled commitment, expertise, and welcoming atmosphere fostered by staff members like Ms. Marie Fujii, Coach Gabriel, and Coach Felicia.
