I brought my car to Dave Brevik on May 24th/2021 to be fixed after a deer accident on Highway 495W! Dave submitted the claim to my insurance forging my signature for a Direct Pay, received the money shortly in one week and after 4 months the car is still in the shop not finished! Multiple attempts to inquire why is this happening , Dave states over the phone that he does not have any end date for the car to be finished, even admitted that has been taking advantage of the whole situation by working on other projects and not caring about finishing this one! I found out from my insurance agents that he did the same thing to another customer and kept the car for 6 months without finishing the work! Arrogant, non professional, con and scam artist ! Stay away from this place and save your self the pain! read more

I was dreading taking my car to the shop, but Kar Kraft in Northborough made this easy and painless for us. They are listed as one of the preferred shops in Worcester County by my insurance company. So we gave them a try and weren't disappointed; great work and welcoming service. We highly recommend Kar Kraft to those looking for a great auto repair shop that is friendly and have reasonable prices. They are conveniently located on Main Street a few miles off of Rt. 495 and are open on Saturdays! read more

Took my Tahoe here years ago to have some very minor body work. When I got the car back, some of the badges were not put back on and you could literally see where the paint was put on too thick and was dripping down the side of the car. Owner was a real A$$ and ended up having to take the car somewhere else to get fixed. STAY AWAY from this place! Update: Despite what the owner says, I do exist. I just chose not to respond to his email because it is pointless. read more

I brought my 2013 Accord Coupe here after a car accident and not only did Kar Kraft bring my car back to life but it looks and smells and feels brand new all over again!! I could not have been more pleased with the time, effort and care these guys had with my car. They not only repaired where the damage of the accident occurred but also repaired other dings I had from previous mishaps and I am beyond pleased. I will absolutely be back here if I ever need any auto body done and highly recommend this shop to any and everyone! These are hard working honest people and I guarantee you will be just as pleased as I was when picking up my car tonight. I give them 5 stars if I could I'd give them 10! Truly superior body work along with free detailing. This was an insurance claim and they handled all details, exceeded my expectations and gave my car a better paint job than the factory applied one. A friend of mine in the business saw my car and told me that he couldn't have referred me to someone who does work of this quality. Oh, and they are pet friendly!!! read more

This is the worst autobody repair place I've ever been to. I had to bring my car back a few times, and tell them what was wrong. The not only tried to correct a dent in my car, but also took the car for a drive and left my car on empty when they returned it. They also left their shopping stuff in my car. They painted the car and missed taping around the windows and bumper. There is not paint on the trim and bottom bumper. They also left spots all over the back bumper and trunk door that is causing the pain to rust. They did not buff the car as it should've been done before returning the car. They also scratched the inside car door, and left paint and residue from the bonder in my car. I would not recommend this place to anyone that wants quality work done. They are careless and do not know how to fix cars the correct way. They find shortcuts to get around the job and hide the bad work. read more

I know he is a local guy and that may intimidate people. But, the work Dave did was above my standards of professional. It was a little hard to reach him in order to get my car in, but given my end results i am totally forgiving. He promised 100% satisfaction guarantee or he would do it again. It scared me a little bit when he said that, but I do not regret choosing him. My car was rear ended in boston when it was parked and i was inside the house. The scratches were there, minor, but given this was a leased car i did not want to risk it. Dave gave me his advice and i followed. So lucky i did. Such a reasonable price compared to what others were telling me. read more

Terrible service. I explicitly told them I needed auto body work done on my car to pass a car inspection. They were really careless. They gave me my car back in worse condition and FORGOT TO PUT MY LEFT HAND DIRECTIONAL back together and I failed my inspection. I couldn't even get ahold of them on the weekend. When I did finally reach them they wouldn't supply me with a rental or tow the car back to their shop. I tried to drive back to them and got in a really bad car accident on the way there. I lost a lot of money for no reason. I'm never going back. read more

Original response: I guess the experience depends on who you are and what you're perceived ability to finance you vehicle is by the employees. I am off for parental leave and just in survival mode as one tends to be in the first weeks and was not wearing my executive suite or clothing, so unfortunately no one would not know that I run a small organization. Apparently that determines the service because when I arrived for an estimate, I was excited because this auto shop comes HIGHLY recommended. I was going to spend several thousand dollars to fix a small fender bender and then ask about detailing services. However I will not be engaging with this organization again because I was treated with such indifference that I can't imagine patroning this organization. When I arrived, and was assigned someone to draft the estimate, I approached this staff member, I believe his name was Mike, and asked questions because I had already gotten a quote. He would not look at the other estimate I had and didn't discuss anything with me. I was told that the price will be the same as the other shops and that I should just check my email for his estimate and we can talk then. I left wondering why I came if at places like Waldron Carstar, sat down with me and went point by point and discussed options and advised me as I asked questions BEFORE and AFTER I received their estimate. They treated me like a valued customer and tried to create a work plan that worked for me as a drop in. I went to 3 other shops and got same day estimates. This individuals quote came 12 hours later. Their work is probably great, but their treatment of me as a customer was disappointing given how much work I was intending to pay for. In my opinion, auto service is expensive but the customer service and care shouldn't be optional because that is essentially the only difference from shop to shop since "it's the same price" according to their rep. Fun fact, their quote was the most expensive quote. Go figure lol Update: The response was "I am sorry the estimator did not converse with you the way you would like." Again, customer service appears optional. My response was as follows when the manager referenced their reputation as well: "I actually came because of the reputation, including the fact that I was looking for detailing estimates as well but I never got to that. Because when I approached your staff and asked questions, again I was told that the price will be the same and that I should just check my email. After they started working on my car, they requested a second review by my insurance company and an appraiser came to their shop. It is nice that they offer a shuttle service (thanks Don!), so I didn't need to take UBER or taxi to get back home or come back to pick up my car after the repairs were completed. The shop has such a buttoned up process for intake, arranging rentals, dealing with the insurance company, etc. It's the easiest and most comfortable experience. Having never needed a body shop in more than 30 years of driving, I had no idea what to look for in…read morea body shop - brought it here because it looks like a professional facility when my car was rear ended, causing about 8 thousand dollars worth of damage. First time I went to get the car, there were issues I noticed with runs in the paint and some chips not fixed, so I did not take the car and they fixed some of the issues, but some of the smaller imperfections were not fixed. I needed the car so I took it. It was due for inspection, so I went straight from shop to inspection facility, where it failed because a rear marker light was not connected, requiring another trip to the shop. When the owner brought car to my house the last time, he admitted to issues with 'quality control' with my vehicle, and offered to take it back to fix it again. I did not follow up on this though, I thought I could live with a few runs in the paint and other relatively small issues, and decided to just deal with it and move on. Then I noticed a bigger issue - the gap between the trunk lid and bumper is uneven, and the trunk rubs the paint when I close it, causing visible marks. Day after I notice this, I got a note from the owner reminding me of their 100% guarantee to 'restore your vehicle to its condition prior to the accident.' So I sent an email to the owner, 2 weeks ago now, saying the following: "To be blunt, I think that you/your staff are either not skilled enough to fix the car correctly - or do not care enough - to meet your stated goal to 'restore your vehicle to its condition prior to the accident.' I called my insurance company because I feel like the quality of the work is insurance fraud, but they said they do not get involved in these things. I do not want to bring the car back to you for repair again, because as noted above, I have no reason to believe you can fix it correctly - remember, the first time I came to pick up the car I did not take it because of several issues with workmanship that I noticed - and I am not a trained auto body technician or a painter. While some improvements were made, there were still some flaws I noted from the first time, but I needed the car and there was some improvement so I took it. The car then failed inspection because a light was not connected, resulting in a third trip to your shop. As you noted to me at the time you brought the car to me, there were some issues with quality control when repairing my car. The options, as I see them, are for you to partially refund my insurance company, or for me to bring the car to a different shop to get it fixed correctly and send you the bill." I have received no reply to this message. I will post pictures if I can. SO, long story short, bring your car here if you want it fixed correctly, maybe, the 4th time.

I pulled up and the outside of their shop there are signs that look like signs you would find at a Jiffy Lube that tell you which bay is what. I pulled up in front of the bay and waited for someone to greet me, which no one did. I had to wave a guy down and when I asked if I should pull into the bay, he started talking down to me as if I'm some sort of idiot, "You never pull into a working bay!" Some guy with brown hair and a beard. Well maybe if your shop didn't have that Jiffy Lube set up when you pull off of the main road going west, you wouldn't have this kind of issue! Maybe a sign that says PARK FOR SERVICE? Shouldn't the employees know what bay is which? Also I would rather not give my service to these people since the first thing I see when I pull up is a Blue Lives Matter sticker. Already knew the kind of people I was dealing with when I saw it, should have ran instead of being berated by someone who won't amount to anything else in life. Live and learn and avoid!

This place is under new ownership. All the old staff (including the lady that used to work there…read moreand was the reason I always went here) is gone. She was phenomenal. I never got charged for things I didn't need. Never had a headlight that mysteriously stopped working the moment I stepped away for the inspection. They always did upfront, honest work and were great. Older guy who worked there was equally kind and helpful. They worked efficiently and did not overcharge. They charged $25 for an oil change last year. Including labor, my total bill last year was $108 for inspection and oil change. This year, the new worker/owner is saying it would be $135 for an inspection and oil change. I didn't bother asking if that includes labor (though I sure would hope so) because still that's about $20 more expensive than other places nearby. If any former employees see this, thank you so much for your years of honesty, kindness, and hard work. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who worked here so I could follow her to wherever she is now. I went in for an inspection several years ago and she uncovered some sort of issue with my insurance. She went out of her way to figure out what the issue was so I could resolve it, and then did the inspection for me the next day once I had it sorted. She was straightforward, honest, trustworthy, and kind. I hope she and everyone else who previously worked there has found bigger and better opportunities wherever they are now!

Auto accidents are always unexpected. Even if there are no injuries, they are painful in 3 ways. First, there is emotional toll at the time of the accident. "Why me?" (or "How could you!" if a family member or employee was driving). Then there is the inevitable repair cost. Finally, there is the flimflam character behind the desk at the auto body shop. For most of us, few things are worse than the saccharin concern of a grease monkey with an estimate pad and business methods that are difficult to verify. In the business of auto accidents, repairs, and dealing with insurance companies and body shops, be thankful that you live in Worcester or Middlesex County. You can't do better than working with Steve Paglieroni or one of his mechanics at Kar Kraft in Northboro, Kar Kraft is sister company to JAMN Auto Sales. Steve has survived in a cut throat and often shady business for more than 30 years because he is transparent, sympathetic and honest. He undercuts rivals while crafting a repair that not only looks new, it is durable and safe. I know cars. I know character. Simply amazing service. I hate taking my car to get fixed, always have. I recently moved out to the Worcster area from Boston. I had an Auto body shop that I was comfortable with back in Boston that I used for almost 5 years. My car got banged up a few weeks ago and I was horrified to think I had to find a new auto shop that I could trust. Someone had mentioned Kar Kraft to me and since I didn't know another other shops I decided to take a shot with these guys. Great desicion. I cannot believe it only took one time to find a great auto shop, but Kar Kraft of Northboro is where I will be taking my car as long as I live in the area. Kar Kraft of Northboro has got to be my favorite place for auto repairs. They treat Customers with respect, and really leave you with that sense of Being valued. I am a continued patron, and honestly don't see myself needing to go anywhere else for auto repairs. They are very quick as well as having a great business sense, reflected by the fair prices. I was really at a loss for auto repairs in my town but luckily I have been saved by Kar Kraft of Northboro. More often then not I leave Kar Kraft of Northboro feeling that I got not only what I was going there for, but even some extra on top. A great, professionally run business that I recommend to friends and family that are having any car troubles. My family has been going to Kar Kraft of Northboro for years now because of their incredible service. In addition to their services, like others have said on here, they also have great hours for someone who works long days during the week. Being open on Saturday really shows that they are one of the best body shops in Worcester county. Steve is a wonderful businessman and very helpful professional. I was involved in a minor car accident which engaged my air bag. He was recommended to me by my regular mechanic, Tony at Northboro BP (another great guy). Steve worked with my insurance company to manage all the paperwork and made my 10 year old car with MANY miles look brand new! He even polished my headlights. He really went the distance for me in restoring my car to superb working order. I had dents on my BMW 5 series driver side rear door and scratches on the rear bumper. After it was done, it looks no different from original. The price is fantastic compared with the estimate I got from another body shop, nearly 40% cheaper. I like Dave, the owner's can-do attitude. The bumper area also needed a little bit work. The other body was reluctant to do. I believe they could not justify to charge too much, so did not want to bother with it, while Dave said, "Not a problem. It would be just a few tens of dollars more." I was very pleasantly surprised. read more

Nobody likes taking their car to the auto shop - we all know what it means, a huge dent in our wallet. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with my bill after taking my car to Kar Kraft of Northborough recently after having issues with my suspension. Not only was the person I worked with helpful and willing to explain all the minor details of my car's issues, but he also managed to save me a few bucks on my overall bill! Krafty and Kewl! This place seriously exceeded my expectations! It was by chance that I came here instead of my usual mechanic. I thought I would get a few things fixed on my way home from work. In the end instead of up selling me they did what I only asked for, no add ons or upgrades, and did it for way less than my usual place. They were friendly and I did not feel uncomfortable in the least. All in all I give this one THREE thumbs up for amazing customer service and a great job. read more

So glad I stumbled upon this place! I had bumped into a tree backing up a year ago and I kept putting it off getting fixed. My friend recommended this place and now my car looks better than ever. I was surprised by the quality of work and how quick my car was in and out. The employees were attentive to me and answered all my questions (I've never had to get my car repaired cosmetically before). Almost certainly the best experience I have ever had at an auto repair shop -- honest, pleasant and fast service. Highly recommended!!! I could not feel more comfortable taking my car there. Kar Kraft of Northboro is a family run business conveniently located on Main street in Northboro. They have convenient hours and are even open on Saturdays, which is great for someone like me who has to work during the week and can't make it there until the weekend.
