After purchasing a necklace that was just over $1000 from Kara the clasp broke about 30 days later. The clasp itself was hard to use because it was so small. I returned to store asked if they would replace the broken clasp with a claw clasp instead. They said would replace for a $200 up charge. I refused to pay that amount and said would just take to another jeweler. They then said would do for $100. I again was not agreeing to pay for a replacement clasp on a $1000+ necklace I just purchased from them. They said would replace with the same one for free but not upgrade. After some further conversation they agreed to replace for free with claw clasp. Upon my return the informed me that they would no longer be doing business with me or my wife. On other occasion we need just a landing ring for a clasp put in necklace and they wanted $70. We went to Micheals purchased a pack of 20 for $4. and fixed ourself. Kara Jewelry is a very unprofessional organization and over charges for there services. They give very poor customer service and do not value customers. I would highly discourage anyone from using this place of business. read more

I have purchased several pieces of jewelry at Kara that I had not issues with but the customer service after the sale is terrible!!! My husband purchased a beautiful necklace for me and the clasp stopped working right away. The clasp was so tiny I could not get it on myself and it would get caught in the pendant because it was so small. It was an expensive necklace and should work properly so I went and asked if they could put a crab claw clasp and they told me that would cost $200 more even when the other clasp broke right away and did not work for the necklace. I told them I would prefer to return my necklace if it is going to be $200 more. We were not rude or loud about it. I saw a similar necklace somewhere else for half the price but we wanted to support a local to our area family owned business. They then said they would replace the clasp for free to avoid a return. When my husband went back in to pick it up they told him we are no longer welcome to shop there. That was an easy one for us as we would have never gone back anyway after the way they treated us. I had an uneasy feeling about them and what they would do to my necklace after I left in their hands. I would never trust them with anything of high value again. read more

I stumbled upon Kara jewelry as I was in need of a bracelet sizing, they did a wonderful job. The owners are very kind and were extremely helpful in getting the bracelet to the right size. In addition to their superior customer service, they were also reasonably priced which is rare to find in today's market. We will most definitely be return customers. read more

This jewelry store at the happy valley four corners is a gem...which i guess is the highest form of flattery for a jewelry store. My wife and i went to Kara Jewelry to get new batteries for our watches...yes, we still wear watches. Not only did they change out the batteries at a more than reasonable price, but were more than polite putting up with me telling them about the various YouTube channels i watch, encouraging them to watch HoofGP and wristwatch revival on YouTube. Oh my goodness I can not say enough great things about this place! Firstly when you first step in, the vibe is immaculate! You can tell all the love and energy that is put into this establishment. My fiancé and I have gone to several places trying to find his wedding band and I have honestly not been impressed by customer service or the energy and nothing ever felt exactly right until we walked into this place! Immediately greeted with such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Having two young children it's hard to go places alone and not feel like a bother but one of the owners actually walked around and played with my daughter while we were able to look at rings!! We weren't just told to go look on a website and come back when we had what we were looking for (which we've been told before we literally were starting to feel overwhelmed since our weddings coming up) we actually had help we aren't experts so their expertise and guidance in helping us find the perfect match just melted my heart! Last week I thought I would stop into Kara jewelry. I have driven past this store multiple times, but wasn't sure what kind of jeweler they actually were. I decided I would drop my engagement ring off to get dipped. Something easy I though that most jewlers were capable of doing. I have a jeweler that I love, Treasure Custom Jewlers, but after moving out to Vistancia didn't really want to make the drive. My ring was with them for 3 days. I walk in to check it out and notice a large bubble of white gold collected at the bottom of the ring. This ring was in perfect condition and has been dipped before with no issues. They claim it was a casting error, but offer to re-do. They tried to tell me that if they re-do something it's a second charge, but that they would take care of it! Not sure why I would have to pay again for them improperly doing their job. They also let me know they supposedly replaced a diamond in my ring. They said they weren't sure what diamond it was he replaced? Something that I definitely would've noticed! I didn't think much of it until I go back and notice another diamond missing. I bring the ring back once again and they say "they take no responsibility of damages when jewelry is in their possession." They tell me it will 80$ to replace my stone. I know they broke my prong while in their possession and for them to not take care of this and try to charge me money is extremely poor business! Why "replace" a diamond on a ring and then damage the ring and not want to replace it when it was clearly in your shop!? I got an uneasy feeling about them and I think I was not the first person they had tried to pull this scheme on! They have lost a loyal customer in me! read more

Over a year ago, I was looking for a jewelry store. A jewelry store that had a great selection, great customer service but as importantly a jewelry store that had a personal touch. People who would remember me when I walked in, and people who cared about the jewelry I have that needs repair, but also future purchases. I was referred to Kara Jewelers and although it was 25 minutes from my house I went and checked it out! I can't begin to explain how wonderful the experience was from the minute I walked in! Friendly, knowledgeable, not pushy and just kind loving people!! I brought a pile of jewelry that needed repairs, and batteries, and they did it all within a day! Flo texted me when it was all done and made it super convenient for me to pick everything up! As time has gone on I have popped in and bought a few things. One of the items I purchased was a beautiful bracelet that had silver and gold that I could wear when I mix the two. 5 months after I purchased that piece, my husband who has never been to Kara Jewelers w me, contacted Flo in April (for our anniversary). He said "my wife Cheryl bought a bracelet, I have no idea who makes it or even the style because she's wearing it today, but our anniversary is this weekend, and I think she mentioned there is a matching necklace and earrings". Kara said "I know your wife and I remember exactly what she bought!" WOW!!! Not only did she remember ME she remembered what I bought!! Because of the whole covid thing, Flo went out of her way to meet my husband and do a one on one shopping experience and she already had everything ready for him! My husband was beyond impressed. So I randomly found this jewelry shop in a search. I was looking for a place that may have still been open during all the chaos of Covid so that I could get a ring for my anniversary. The lady answered the phone and told me she could meet me at the store in 30 minutes. I went in and met with her and a second woman as they both helped pick out rings. Their selection is very small and limited, not a large jeweler. After about 10 minutes, another guy walks in the store. I keep looking and can't really seem to find one that I like. So I'm just about to leave and the woman hands me a ring and says how pretty it is. It was cute, but small. But what do I know. So, slightly torn and ready to leave empty handed, I trust her judgement and purchase the ring. Later that day I get the ring out and look at it for a bit. I realized just how cheap it looked for the price, it looked like a child's ring. I couldn't believe two grown women would sell me something like this to give to an adult. I was too embarrassed to give it to my SO on our anniversary. So the next day (Saturday) I call the store and ask to bring it back. I am told that they couldn't meet me Saturday, but would meet me on Monday and do the refund. I understood it was the weekend and agreed. So Monday morning I call to setup a time to meet. The girl answers the phone and Informs me that she spoke with the owner and she can not meet me to do a refund. I would either have to wait until this chaos is over and they are open normally, wait until they have another appointment, or could meet them immediately but have to pay a $50 return fee. I informed her that it was absolute bs that they could meet me instantly for a sale, but not to do a refund. It's not good business or customer service to not make sure the customer is taken care of. So I tell her to call me when there's another appointment, but I will not be coming back to do any future business if this is how they operate. I have not heard back from them in several days, and I have contacted them and left messages to call me and still have not received any communication with them. Avoid this place. Aside from taking advantage of the situation and selling me what can only be described as an overpriced child's ring (because they had to make the drive to meet me), they refuse to communicate with me in regards to meeting or returning the ring. They could've kept my business, despite selling me the embarrassing ring, if they would have cared enough to keep their word and return the ring on Monday. But aside from returning the ring, I will never refer someone to this place. I understand the current time is chaotic, but they had no issues meeting me to make a sale. Living in the northwest valley can be wonderful and trying as we don't have as many services as, say, Scottsdale or Phoenix. But, I've now found a jeweler for life. Kara Jewelers are wonderful at what they do. They're pleasant to work with and understand what your needs and concerns are. When I started making a modern necklace for myself, with birthstones encircled in a sterling silver teardrop shape for each of my grandchildren, halfway through, the company I was buying them from closed up shop! Kara came to the rescue and has done two matching stones already for me that you cannot discern from the originals to the new ones. This past week, I took my engagement ring and matching wedding ring that no longer fit me, a prong holding one of the side baguettes needed to be fixed and then had them resized as well as, rhodium dipped from yellow gold to white gold. When I picked them up, they were dazzling. Shiny like they were originally white gold. The diamonds sparkled like never before. The work was top notch the whole way.
