I visited John Wallick Jewelers for a same‑day gold and wedding ring appraisal, unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I understand same‑day service isn't always possible, and that wasn't the issue. I clearly explained that I only needed the gold value appraised and that the stones were zirconias. Despite this, the associate loudly questioned whether the stones were "fake," which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. I was also told the necklace was 14k, even though it is stamped 750 (18k) and had recently been confirmed elsewhere. At that point, I chose not to proceed. I went to another nearby appraiser afterward and was treated with professionalism and respect. I value good service and tend to stay loyal once I find a place I trust, but based on this experience, I won't be returning to this establishment. read more

They really deserve more than 5 stars. I wanted to recreate a ring I had gotten 50 years ago from my parents. They were so patient with me through the whole process and rather pushing for the more expensive procedure of casting to make an exact replica, they found a setting that could be soldered onto a new shank for much much less. To be honest, this ring is more gorgeous than the original. The Ruby reflects off that sterling silver setting and it is just brilliant in the sunshine making it look like it is surrounded by other rubies. They will be my jeweler's for life and I will be shouting their name from the rooftops. Thank you so much for recreating such a special memory for my birthday this year. read more

I had a few pieces requiring repairs. One piece was my custom made wedding ring which included grandma's very old engagement ring. Replaced some lost diamonds, tightened up husbands diamond ring, had some rings resized and converted an earring to a necklace. Couldn't believe how quickly these were completedp. Every person in the store was absolutely courteous, helpful and accommodating. I watched while my sister had a ring created and the whole process was amazing. This company was recommended to me by a friend who has been doing business with them for several years. My experience with them was wonderful: everyone was warm, friendly (but still professional), and considerate. They resized (enlarged) an eternity ring for me and did flawless work. One of the owners (Trudy?) was patient, working with me to get the exact size figured out. It is a perfect fit! I couldn't be happier. I am not familiar with the price of jewelry repairs, but I thought it was reasonable. They also said they may have to charge me for resetting some of the diamonds after doing the resizing, but in the end the diamonds were OK and they only charged me for the repair. Now, that's honesty! I have already taken two other items to them for repair. It's nice to find an honest place of business that strives for perfection. They are spot on! I went in earlier today to see if I could get an appraisal on a little pendant I have owned for a few years now. I had gone to a few other places and was quoted low prices that I was unsure of... I mean it was small, but a diamond with white gold nonetheless. I found John Wallicks company on google and heard great things. I went in there and was immediately greeted with friendly faces asking how they can help. They gave me their honest and professional opinion, cleaned up my little pendant and it looked like new! Unfortunately I had to part with it for personal reasons. They gave me an excellent offer after looking at the piece and even explained the quality of the piece with diagrams and such.
