Chicken Biryani, keema Samosa and Aloo Samosa
    Otilia C.

My girls were craving Biryani and I didn't want to cook. Found this place close to my office so we decided to try it. Everything is made fresh so we put in our order went back to work and picked it up an hour later. Loved the chicken Biryani, and the big Samosa with the chickpeas. those were my favorites but really, everything was delish. My two girls and I did not stop until all the food was gone! Will definitely order from there again. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture first but remembered halfway thru my plate!! And yes, I agree, the owner is nice and personable.

The food was amazing! Loved everything on grill. We got the combo platter and it was finger lickin' good. The chutney was delish. I absolutely loved the naans. The sesame seeds and butter on the naan gave it such a homely feeling and of course upped the taste a notch. The owner Rashid went out of his way to make sure our party of 15 were accommodated, and everything was so good. We all enjoyed the matka chai at the end, truly gave the dhaba vibes at the end!!

Matka chai is a dohd Pati chai very served in clay mug very famous back in Pakistan

I'm a regular customer here at Karachi Dhaba. Great snack options from samosas, chaats, club sandwiches, wraps, grill items, halwa poori breakfast and my new favorite the matka chai for dine in. Rashid bhai the owner and wonderful gentleman at the counter is very nice. Place your orders ahead of time since everything is made to order.

If option of no star, i would. Selling few days old food straight out of fridge. Does not deserve anything at all, worst food, worst quality. Burnt food, burnt meat. Does not taste Karachi or Pakistani food. Do your stomach a favor and save ur hard earned money, dont buy from here.

Food was great and the workers were very kind. The samosas were a little smaller than I expected but the chicken tikka made up for it.

They did try to upsell items but were respectful when I declined. I decided to go with 1 of their quick combos, Combo B. It comes with 2 entrees, rice, and naan. For ~$13 this is a great option to try a variety. I tried the chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer. It was flavorful and delicious. Portion is generous and I could have brought home left overs but couldn't resist. I ate everything in 1 sitting.

I'd rate it on par, or even better, than San Francisco's Burmese options. Service was much friendlier here, that's for sure! Tawk was a delightful host...making jokes along with dish recommendations. Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. A mild to medium spice level and very tasty. Generous portions. Two dishes was enough for two though I wish we had tried the spring rolls or samosas too--we might have had leftovers if we had! The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. They did a good job considering the location in a strip mall. The lighting looks nice, and the textured walls add to the inviting ambience.

Our party of four included a vegetarian and someone with gluten-free needs, and both were accommodated effortlessly. Always a sign of a thoughtful kitchen. We started with Aloo Paneer Tikki and Papdi Chaat, both excellent. The tikki was crisp and satisfying, and the chaat had that perfect mix of textures and tangy brightness. For mains, we shared Chicken Vindaloo, shrimp curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Aloo, and vegetable fried rice, all accompanied by warm, soft, slightly crisp butter naan. Everything was beautifully presented, well prepared, and balanced in spice without overwhelming the palate. And then... the cocktails. My friend and I ventured into margarita territory, one spicy and one with ginger, both crafted so well that we immediately ordered a second round. No regrets. If I had one small wish, it would be for music that leans more into the cultural experience. A sitar in the background or even Bollywood scenes on the screens would add an extra layer of immersion. That said, the American music playing was tasteful and unobtrusive. If you're in the suburbs and craving good Indian food with warm hospitality, this is your place. We'll definitely be back.
