This place used to be a shithole, but a fun shithole. Now, it's an unfun shithole. The owner of the place acts like its Studio 54. To be fair, it does look like it's 100 years old. That used to be the charm of this place. But now - to have a roped off section outside, a table minimum, etc. at a place that a movie would show Bruce Willis at on Christmas Eve after he lost his family - is embarrassing. It was insanity in there. Songs were playing over and over again with nobody going up. A chant of "turn it up" broke out. The servers were doing all they could, but i'm telling you. This owner/manager couldn't run a McDonald's playpen (check out the other reviews). He'd put a valet outside and charge $10 to get in. Would come back in a heartbeat if that guy leaves. Pros - Everyone in there realizes how horrible it is and it does create a bonding experience where you can commiserate with other patrons - You can kind of do whatever you want in here since it's complete pandemonium. I probably could have taken a shit on the stage and he would only be mad if I didn't meet the table minimum - Not too much puke in the sink (see picture) Cons - Sound system is quiet - Karaoke order is random, irregular, and the owner just chooses what he wants and who he wants - Expensive as shit for a shithole - The owner/manager

We had a blast here the other night. It was a Tuesday and it was kind of slow so we basically had a private lounge all to ourselves. We had about 15 people roll through and had a blast singing everything from rap to pop to rock at the top of our lungs. Our bartender and servers were awesome. The place is pretty nice with standard lounge decor. The sound system could be better, but it was fine for what we needed. Ideally it would be nice to see what song/ singer is coming up next, but we mad it work. Drink prices are very reasonable, the snack selection is limited and a little pricey, but if you want delicious Asian food you don't have to look much further than anywhere on sawtelle. I believe there's a parking lot behind the building which is nice cause parking can be a pain in the area. I recommend that you just uber (especially if your drinking). Keep in mind that there may be an automatic 18% gratuity if you have a large group. I understand it, but being in the industry we would have normally tipped 20-40%

My cousin and I had a blast here! Stumbled upon it while walking around in Sawtelle and it's an official gem. Drinks were great (reasonably priced), large music selection, and the vibes were on point! Shout out to our bartender Joseph and host Ricky for being so kind and making our first experience here one to remember! Good vibes, safe, & comfortable. Can't wait to come back :)

decent song selection but acoustics are terrible. they don't do food here, only drinks, which you're required to get as your cover charge.

Worst karaoke bar I've ever been to. The owner was incredibly rude and treated us like he didn't want us to be there. It was quite troubling

But there is something quite wonderful about chasing pool tables at different dive bars. Namely that one does not know what billiards may bring. On this night, Conrad and I ended up at this cozy joint (pun intended) to handle some sticks with grace and alignment. And we did discover some fun and, on this occassion, a tattoo with wisdom that we should all heed, "the more we value things outside our control the less control we have." As the picture I took shows there is a candle above the quote which signals, in my opinion, that this should be a mantra that should govern one's life, as the one we are given comes with a burning wick the moment we are born. And, if we worry about things that we cannot mold to our liking or design, then we miss what is for us, time and again. But I visit dive bars so please take what I am saying with a dot of tattoo needle. One of the things that I really appreiated about this bar was the fact that I could use my credit card to get quarters. I never had that option and it was useful when needed. I ve been to other bars and that did not hapen. I mean who carries cash? I mean quarters? I guess people who need to pay meters and laundermats but they also have card options for them. Is this place ahead of the curve or other places in pace? I have been to bars and one is suppose to wait until the bartender is ready to serve you. But some people, me being one of them, thinks that the squeaky wheel gets the wheel. Or close mouth's dont get fed is the more apt, tired, saying. So I called the bartender over, had my shot, so I spoke. And she ignored me. Her choice. It is a legitimate process to avoid demanding customers. I then looked at a sign in the bar and it reminded me to "Behave." I do not know, but I highly suspect, that the sign worked on multiple levels and one of them was to remind the demanding lot to chill and wait their turn. So I did. Still I think that sometimes speaking up is the best way to get faster service. I mean, obvious, I know, but how many people sit and wait there turn to be given a beer that should have sooner rather than later. They "behaved" and their prize was a beer that waited for them to act and came when it was ready, not when they were thirsty. Even though Conrad and I went to play pool, the wait was too long. Like over 40 minutes long. There was other stuff we can do it had all the dive bar classics that are needed for a good time. Plus this place had charm. Pictures of big fish caught by people. Plus the people in there spoke about trips to Portugal and early mornings. So the people there might have a tip on a stock. As we drove away Conrad and I notice that they open the spot at 6:00 a.m,. And we were like who is drinking at the hour in a socially acceptable way, that is also healthy? I told him that the one time I had beer with my breakfast was on St. Patrick's day. So I did as the Irishmen did. Now I am left wondering who drinks beer before the trike of 9:00 a.m. and legitimately does it as a safe practice?

It doesn't just look good, it pulls you into a different mood the moment you walk in. The space is thoughtfully split. The other side opens up into the bar with dining tables up front, giving it a more social, slightly livelier energy. Drinks are absolutely amazing. Crafted well, balanced, and consistent. But what really stands out is how the ambiance takes over the entire experience. The crowd shows up. Well dressed, confident, and adds to the overall vibe instead of taking away from it.
