The AAA did not offer to jump-start my car and towed my car to this shop. All they had to do was to jump-start my car and see if my car would start or not. That is the very 1st thing anyone with very little knowledge about a car will do. But instead they told me that my car engine is destroyed and I need a new engine. The gave me an estimated invoice for $11,200. Can you believe that? Yes, it is hard to believe but they wanted to charge me $11,200 for a new engine. All my car needed was a jump-start. There was nothing else wrong with my car. At that point I told them that "NO" I do not want to spend that on my car and I would like my car back to take it to another shop. The owner of this shop forced me to $176.00 for nothing. I mean they did not do a single thing other than wanting to scam me and steal my money by telling me I needs a new engine. I then took my car to another repair shop (an honest one). The mechanic at the second shop jump-starts my car and says to me "There is nothing wrong with your car other than needing a jump-start due to extreme cold in the night before". Please do not take your car to this place. I had already called AAA and filed a complaint about this shop as well.

I decided to speak to a representative on site, but all of the representatives ignored me and refused to speak to me. When I was finally able to speak to someone, they told me that I was not able to use the system anymore because I did not have a front license plate that was able to be picked up by the system. They even refused to manually redeem the unlimited membership for me despite showing them my active membership status. They also do not offer a barcode or code to enter into the terminal to redeem. They then said there was nothing else they could do to help me and when I reached out to their customer service I find out they don't even have an active email to contact for assistance. Thus, I wasted a $40 membership because THEIR system couldn't not recognize my car. I DO NOT recommend as they are not professional and do not care if you experience any issues. I attempted to reach out via the phone number listed multiple times but only reached a voicemail. I could not cancel the membership because it requires that you contact them, via the number provided, thus I was charged again for a membership I could not use. My only option was to contact my bank to get rid of the charge. In regard to the front license plate requirement, it seems rather restrictive and excluding given not every car has a front license plate especially if the car is registered outside the state of Massachusetts. I recommend that you (the owner) look into a back plate option.

I bring my Honda there for everything from oil and filter changes, new tires, and any mechanical work my car needs. Every experience has been wonderful. Their prices are always fair, and they have never once tried to take advantage of me or upsell unnecessary work. As a woman, that level of honesty and respect means a lot. Last week, I went in for a routine oil and filter change. I usually wait there because they have a comfortable waiting area with coffee and TV. I had been extremely busy with work and running on very little sleep. After I left, I must have accidentally dropped my credit card outside their building. Not long after I left, they called me to let me know they had found my credit card outside and safely held onto it until I could come back and pick it up. That kind of honesty and kindness is rare these days. Thank you so much to everyone at Ron's Tire & Service Shop for always taking such great care of both me and my car. I hesitated, asked a few questions about applying that charge to eventual repair cost and then left mystified. When I got home, I checked with my trusted AI agent to find out about this. I was told that shops do charge to run diagnostics and that $209 was very high, especially given that the charge will not offset the cost of the repair. My agent suggested that I go to AutoZone and for $10 they can retrieve the code that might give a clue as to what the problem is. Among the possible causes for the engine-light was loose gas cap. Low and behold, that was it and for $10 I solved the problem that Sullivan tire would have charged me $209 to discover. Why didn't the technician at the front suggest that before trying scamming me out of $209 unnecessarily? Does he know that? I'm sure he does and Sullivan tire does as well. I'll spend my money elsewhere in the future.
