The restaurant is easy to find with their large white lit sign right outside. There is parking space :) When you walk inside, you're welcomed by the host and also the owner? (He was very attentive towards all the guests.) The interior space is designed very well and has an upscale atmosphere when you walk in. For drinks, I ordered the Soju Latte and my friend had the Butterfly Lemonade Mocktail. Friend accidentally knocked over my drink and the owner just happened to be there when it happened. He immediately replaced it with a new drink. Talk about amazing service! For our appetizers we ordered the Truffle Potato Jeon and Fried Mandu (Dumplings). For our main meal, we ordered the K-beef Sirloin Tartare Bibimbap and Galbi Gui. The food came all out at the same time. And we also got a service (on-the-house) Korean Soy Bean Paste Jiggae Stew. Drinks here are great! However, they do have a 1 hr wait time for them. We ordered the Valentines course being $200 per pair. The tuna tataki and beef tartare were frozen/had solid middles plus stale bread but I'll give that the 1st main meat entree itself with LA Galbi was good. Our tartare bibimbap had no rice and was just "bibim". The 2nd round of entrees offered perilla noodles and a milmyeon but, unfortunately, they were just not good and had 0 flavors. It took 20 minutes just to receive water and we had repeatedly asked for our drink orders as well We also had to wait an extra 20 just to receive our checks to leave. We arrived at 8pm and had to leave by 11pm due to slow service. This is my first time writing a bad review for a restaurant. Overall save your money and find another establishment to dine at. My only wish is that I wish the meat was hotter when it came out as most of the meat feels room temperature. The artichoke app was also really good with the hummus. The pork cutlet is alright, it's just a basic pork cutlet, nothing special. The order of pork ribs was also really good. Only reason I took a star off is because both times we've gone and made reservations they didn't have us down both times. I'm not sure why that's a constant issue. Newer upscale style korean restaurant with classic dishes that they made their own. We started with the beef jeon and potato jeon. I really loved the flavor of the beef jeon with the chives. I wouldnt reorder the truffle potato jeon. It was way too crispy and felt like i was eating a chip rather than your classic jeon. Next I got the beef tartare bibimbap with their special sauce. High recommend this dish it was so flavorful with the mixed in vegetables and beef was very fresh. Their king beef rib soup had a mild clean flavor but was definitely delicious. The meat was soft and juicy pairing well with all of the side dishes they provide. Their cold noodles come with a lot of noodles so no need for extra. It had a refreshing flavor that allowed you to cleanse your palette between dishes! Noodles were slightly overcooked and lacked a tiny bit of chew though. Lastly, we ordered the yellow croaker which is supposed to have a more chewier and dryer texture. It wasn't my personal favorite but I can see the appeal. Karden you did it. I have NEVER walked out of an establishment in all my years dining out but you did it. My husband made a reservation for dinner early Sunday evening to celebrate my MIL's birthday. Upon arrival we were told that they did not have a reservation under our name but there was a reservation with the same first name and same party size. The hostess proceeded to write my husband's name down and disappeared without any words. Around 10 minutes later she came back and said that the table is ready and pointed at the table and walked away. We sat down at the table and for about 10 minutes we sat without water nor menus at our table and when we finally got water it was warm water. I had to flag down a waiter to get the menus. Another 15-20 minute went by and no one stopped at our table. We waved down another waiter and upon asking if he was our waiter he said there are other waiters around too. At this point, we were all beyond frustrated and got up and left. I honestly expected more from this establishment seeing the reviews but this entire experience left a really bad taste my mouth. The staff is clearly inexperienced and overwhelmed. The hostess is a joke. I honestly have had better service in a dumpling shop. Thanks for ruining my MIL birthday dinner. DO BETTER! We simply love Karden. We had our cubby's 1st birthday here, a huge event for us Asians, which we had no regrets about. A huge shout out to Tony, the manager, for he had taken care of everything and it all worked like clockwork, we couldn't have pictured it unfolding in any other way. The ambiance is really cozy and delightful, it is somewhere between modern, intimate, and cozy. They have a great bar and an amazing food selection which continues to get better every time we go. Their beef tartare is a must-try (bibimbap tartare even better), the Hanpan family set was alright for us the first time around, but we came back and had it again, and it was so delicious - they really improve every time. Their appetizers are so delicious, it is a bit fusion with a modern touch to Korean food, but we simply love it, I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Today was raining a lot and when I got my car back the passenger seat was soaking wet, even dashboard and middle part between the driver seat and passenger seat was wet too as if windows were down. Tried this place out today for brunch and it was AMAZING! I'll start off by saying the interior design is beautiful, very modern and chic. Since it was during the day the lighting in there was nice a lot of natural sunlight. We ordered the spicy rice noodles, spicy stirfried octopus, and k beef striploin tartare bibimbap and everything was very fresh and delicious. I ordered a French 75' from the bar which was very refreshing and the manager made us a round of soju lattes on the house which were also very good! My family loves this modern Korean restaurant 45 minutes away from our house. We arrived ten minutes before it opened for lunch and they let us in, which is rare for a restaurant. It was cold and windy out and we were happy to sit and drink their hot tea while we studied their menu. The Captain recommended an appropriate set called "Hanpan for 2" for 3 of us, saying it will be enough food for us. We wanted an appetizer, just in case, and she recommended the Jeon and "Fried Pork Skin" (why not? They're full of collagen!). Oh boy, were we surprised how delicious everything was! Meat was tender and flavorful, banchan was on point without being salty or spicy, pork skin was chewy and delicious with Korean chives and red onions! The staff was so attentive and we never had to raise our hand or yell to get their attention. They read our minds and brought over anything that needed refilling. Our glasses were always full with barley tea without asking. We were so full by the time we finished everything that I regretted asking for rice since we left most of it. It pains me to leave a meh review, but unfortunately, that's what it's become. What used to be a very exciting new restaurant in the area with great flavors and takes on Korean food is already suffering from maximizing profits. You don't need to look much further than the wings in their platter for 4, which used to feature full bone-in wings that were crispy yet had a great coating of sauce. These wings are now teeny tiny bits of "boneless" wings which sometimes feature just batter, no meat. The meats in the platter also are either not cooked with care, or the cuts are just simply lower quality than they used to be. Naengmyun is still great, and the other items on the platter are still good as well. The stews really help to bring a full Korean dining experience and are quite honestly, gems on the platter. All in all, I just wish they would charge a little more and maintain the excellent quality they had when they first opened. read more

Management is unrealistic at best and irresponsible and careless at worst. My family contacted the restaurant for a private party of 8 people for a family gathering where we were entertaining guests and were assured that they would be able to accommodate the party. We were clear on the number of people, date/time of the engagement, and food/ambiance expectations from the beginning. Then Tuesday, less than 4 days before the scheduled lunch, the restaurant contacted us to ask if we could move the party to a space outside. It was expected to rain that day so we said no and they mentioned some concerns about the space so we drove up to see what they were concerned about and talk in person. The indoor space for the party could hold 6 people maximum, as long as they were all okay with sitting in each other's laps and breathing down each other's necks. Also, they had two benches on either side of the table without individual chairs. There was no way we could have the event there. No one would be able to lift their arms to eat. We canceled the reservation and luckily found another restaurant that was able to accommodate us on short notice. While I can't speak to the quality of the food at Karden, I'd never recommend anyone to work with them for an important event/gathering that required any kind of planning or coordination with management. Of course the restaurant was not obligated to accommodate the needs of our party, but if that's the case, they should have let us know when we contacted them weeks before the scheduled event date, not less than 4 days before. read more

The grilled artichoke I chose looked very nice but it also tasted very delicious. I liked the sauce and decoration that I ate with it very much. The main menu called "Hanpan" was an excellent choice because you could taste all the representative Korean food at once.
