    whole table!

Nice, casual atmosphere that feels family- and kid-friendly, with customers of all ages, which made the experience feel comfortable and welcoming. The service is great--servers come by to mix the food for you, refill water, and even flame-torch the eel tableside, which makes the experience really fun and interactive. The food itself tastes excellent, but it is on the pricier side. For a party of three, our total came out to about $210, which was more than we initially expected, though we decided to try a variety of dishes. We may have ordered a bit too much, but the nice part is we got to enjoy the leftovers at home afterward.

TLDR: New spot near the big H-mart in Ridgefield. The grilled eel and the Daegu maeun tang were both very tasty. Stopped in recently for a family dinner. We didn't get the whole belt fish stew which i wanted but we did try the grilled eel, the galbi jjim and the Daegun maeun tang. The eel comes with two large pieces and finished table-side with a torch. The pieces are fatty, very crispy and the inside is quite soft. It stays crisping on the pebbles and is served with ssam jang, ginger, garlic chives and fresh scallions. The Daegun maeun tang was incredibly flavorful, flaky fish and a rich seafood broth. I'm not a galbi jjim person in general but the short ribs were tender, the sauce was rich and the rice cakes were especially tasty with a chewy texture. Definitely going to be back to try the braised belt fish.

We fell for the fresh eel hype and paid a visit. The 1st banchi is a solid upgrade from your average spot--braised ribs and fresh eel both taste great, though portions suggest the chef is training for portion-control Olympics. Everything's delicious, but you'll finish chewing and still see bare plate staring back at you like a dare. Then comes the bill: over $150 for two adults and a kid. At that price, the eel should introduce itself by name, wear a tiny bow tie, and offer emotional support. Your kid probably ate $12 worth of rice anyway. Taste? 4 stars. Wallet's feelings? Deeply victimized. Would we go back? Only if the eel pays for half.

Been here twice now and can't recommend this place for others enough! Great space with ample, comfortable seating and a parking lot. They're known for their Belt Fish Stew which is definitely picture worthy, but I think their other dishes are just as great too. I was a big fan of the Budae Hot Pot - they can add more beef broth if you would like.

Aria @ Ridgefield (near H mart) Quite a random place on Broad Avenue, away from Fort Lee and Palisades Park. The place is quite spacious and can reserve private rooms - just that they don't have induction to keep the food warm - and enough parking !! We ordered their signature menu 1) Whole belt fish ($45) 2) Sweet pumpkin with braised short ribs ($59) 3) Stir fried spicy pork combo with Sam (veggie) ($43) It was just ok. Nothing very special (probably because I had high expectations for the whole belt fish and the sweet pumpkin dish. I am a big fan of the whole belt fish, but since I prefer "grilled fish" than "braised", that may be the reason. I wish they would steam the sweet pumpkin more so that it is softer and the braised short ribs more tender. Will request to see if possible.

Overall 3.5/5 Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Value 3/5 Finally tried ARIA, a new spot that's taken over what used to be a gamjatang place. Their dishes and even banchans has a classy presentation. Parking feels spacious but has limited actual parking spots. It was full when we went and had to do street parking. The food looked amazing, and some of it tasted great, but the portions were surprisingly small. For our group of four, most of the dishes were about one bite / piece each. What we ordered: - Bulgogi Hotpot 2.5/5: This one fell a bit flat. While bulgogi is sweet, this was too sweet for my preference. - Seafood Pancake (3/5): I was hoping for more seafood and a crispier pancake. - Pumpkin Short Rib 4.5/5: The highlight here for sure! Flavorwise, it was fantastic, but the portion was minuscule about one piece per person. - Kalbi 4/5: Tasted good, but like the short rib, the portion size was smaller than expected ARIA has style and some standout flavors, but be prepared to order a bit more if you're hungry.

I got a chance to stop here for lunch. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and was greeted and sat in this small, cute restaurant! I was served by the manager June. I had: Sides Fried Dumplings Sweet Pumpkin Braised Short Rib Harmful Pajeon (Pancake with seafood and scallion) Sundubu Jjigae stew with tofu and vegetables and seafood My favorite dish was the short rib! It was so tender and flavorful! All in all, I had a good experience!

The side dishes that you get at aria feel more elevated and come out looking so pretty! The atmosphere and experience here really was like a performance! Aria Korean Cuisine says that they want to create a memorable experience that captivates their audience and that is exactly what they did! The service is exceptional and superb! The serving portions here are also so generous! You will definitely leave feeling full! The sweet pumpkin is both tender and sweet - cooked to perfection! I would highly recommend you to try the sweet pumpkin short ribs as it's one of their most popular dishes - and for good reason! It's delicious!! The kalbi is so delicious! The flavor profile here just makes you keep coming back for more! The fish was also super fresh! If you're a fan of seafood, I would definitely try the mackerel! It reminds me of the more classical flavors that you would find in South Korea! I have been craving to find places that remind me of Korea and Aria is it! The seafood pancake that I had here is by far one of the best seafood pancakes I've had. It's so crispy and loaded! For those of you looking for adventure, definitely consider trying out Aria because they also have unique takes on traditional korean flavors!

ARIA Korean Cuisine in Ridgefield, NJ. New Korean spot alert ‼. ARIA is not your typical Korean restaurant-it's serving authentic Korean food with a modern twist. The veggies alone for the SSAM were impressive! If you love fish then you must try the TONG GAL CHI JORIM COMBO-整条炖带鱼 A whole belt fish braised in a rich and spicy Korean- style saucewithradish, garlic, and vegetables, creating a deep, savory flavor. Definitely try this place out! SWEET PUMPKIN BRAISED SHORT RIBS 南瓜炖排骨- Tender beef short ribs braised with sweet pumpkin in asavory andslightly sweet soy-based sauce. SSAM COMBO (Choose either Jeyuk or bulgogi) 多种包饭叶菜- Tender and juicy pork is paired with crisp vegetables, stir-fried overhigh heat with a unique Korean-style sauce, blending sweet, spicy, fragrant and savory flavors together. Choose either Jeyuk or bulgogi. lt includes Doenjang Jjigae and Gyeranjjim. YUKHOE韩式生拌牛肉-Thinly sliced raw beef seasoned withsoy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic, served with a raw egg yolk.

Food was delicious and the portions were huge! I loved their bbq eel (장어구이)! I'll definitely come back for more eel. Service was exceptional and restaurant was clean. I'll definitely be back to try it out again.

If you're in Jersey, you need to make the trip to this Korean spot in Queens--everything slapped. The beef tartare was super refreshing, the galbijjim was super tender (and came with pumpkin which I loved), and the kimchi mackerel? Massive, flavorful, and perfectly cooked in that rich kimchi broth. It even came with soup and a fluffy egg soufflé. So many good banchans too. The staff were sweet, service was fast, and I'm already planning my next visit--there's still so much I wanna try.

My kids and I came here for lunch today as I was craving Korean food! We found easy parking in the lot and loved how modern/bright the interior space was. We ordered Kimchi Jjigae and a Ricecake/Dumpling soup for lunch. Both were great, but the standout for me was the banchan. Everything was so visually gorgeous and incredibly fresh tasting. The staff was warm, attentive, and thoughtful in serving my family. Already eager to come back again!

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

That gave us enough time to have the place to ourselves and order literally everything they could think to serve us. This was easily one of the best KBBQ experiences I've had. The Budae Jjigae was savory comfort, and the Shin Ramen Fried Rice was not only abundant, but served in an adorable heart shape. Even the Kimchi Stew and Gyeran-jjim were more umami than the countless counterparts I've had elsewhere. On top of that, we got more ban chan than an attention-starved halmoni hosting her first family reunion in 10 years. Everywhere I pointed my chopsticks, I touched food. It was delightful. You get a lot of food and the food is delicious and the meat is high quality. The service is always fantastic. We had a big party and were seated right away on a weekend. The waiter was patient and they were thoughtful of the 3 kids in our party, bringing utensils and plates for them. I think of Wooga often. It's so yummy. But if you want to gauge price a little, we went with 4 adults, 3 kids and ordered japchae (glass noodles), kimchi pajeon (pancake), 2 bottles of soju, drinks, a meat set that came with soup, 2 types of pork and 2 types of beef and it came out to about $350, tip included. If you're on the fence about coming, definitely come.

Ooooh, it's been awhile since my last review…read more After 4 years, I still love Wooga but those "$$$$" on the their Yelp page keeps me from eating here more often. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup. If you want to try authentic Korean beef soup and you are in the area this is the place.
