I've been coming to Charlie Brown Farms since I was a kid, and it's honestly nice to see that it…read morehas stuck around for so long. I really like that the store has such a wide variety of merchandise, treats, and food. They carry everything from local honey and candy to turkey burgers and more unusual meats like alligator, venison, elk, and frog legs if you're brave enough to try them. They also have a lot of nostalgic items that you may recognize from childhood, which makes it a bittersweet but fun place to walk through. It's definitely a great spot if you want to take a little trip down memory lane. I usually like to stop by to buy candy or order some garlic fries. There's so much to look at that you could easily spend over an hour browsing while waiting for your food. Charlie Brown Farms remains one of those unique places that is part store, part restaurant, and part roadside attraction. It's quirky, nostalgic, and fun to visit.

First of all... it's truly in the middle of nowhere, which somehow makes it even better. You pull up not knowing what to expect, and then suddenly it's everything. They have all the road trip essentials and then some -- homemade fudge, jams, salsa, fresh honey, and an impressive selection of jerky (alligator, elk, ostrich... you name it). There's also endless candy, nostalgic sodas, funnel cake, and Dole soft serve in just about every flavor you could want. But what really stands out is the selection of nostalgic toys, collector's items, and rare finds -- it's honestly mind-blowing. You can spend a lot of time just browsing and still not see everything. I always leave with more than I planned (in the best way), and it's become a must-stop every time we're passing through. And the date shake? Easily one of the best I've ever had. Inside, there's a café if you're in the mood for BBQ, plus a whole section of vintage toys and random collector finds that you didn't know you needed until you see them. It's the kind of place where you always leave with more than you planned -- in the best way. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, which just adds to the charm. This place never disappoints -- it's become a must-stop every time we're passing through.

I recently found out Bruster's Real Ice Cream has made its way to La Canada Flintridge Town Center…read morenear Descanso Gardens. Cool! I love the garden and I love ice cream. Perfect location! Got here in the evening. Parking appears limited where I was parked, but I know there are more parking at the town center. Anyway, I got lucky with a close parking spot. No inside seating. Just a couple tables and chairs outside. They weren't super busy at the time. I was the only person in line. This is my 2nd time trying Bruster's. My first time was at their Rancho Cucamonga location. Nick, the staff member who helped me, was very nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations on their best flavors. He graciously offered them. Thank you Nick! I got to sample a handful of flavors... Boston Cream Pie, Sea Salt Caramel, Death By Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato, and Cinnamon. Thanks for the samples! All the flavors were very good except for the Cinnamon which I thought was very light in taste. Since I was driving, I chose an ice cream shake instead of a cup or cone. Caramel Macchiato was my pick! It had a really nice caramel flavor with coffee bean bits. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't pile up the ice cream to the top of the lid. It stopped at the top of the cup. I felt I was shorted some ice cream unfortunately. Hence, 4 stars! Nevertheless, Nick was amazing. His service was fantastic. Wonderful conversation and experience. Ice cream shake was yummy. It was finished before I arrived home. YES, I will come back to try their other unique flavors! Thank you Bruster's!

Bruster's : Rooted on the East Coast, now proudly hailed in California--coastal glow-up complete. There's no indoor seating, but who needs walls when you've got plenty of outdoor spots and good weather pretending it's effortless? It's the kind of upscale suburb where everything feels just right for a pit stop before a hike, or a slow cruise down Chevy Chase Dr. to peek at the Maison and quietly dream. One day, I will buy one. Manifesting responsibly. Until then I be capitalist, work hard, smile often, tip well, and stay far, far away from the loony. Cheers to ice cream beginnings and delusional optimism done right. They usually have great music playing, and you can tell they enjoy working there or at least have a great team atmosphere. The lines can get long during the mornings and at random times throughout the day, but they do a great job keeping things moving by taking orders from your car before you reach the window. Since it's a walk-up/drive-thru location, customers can't go inside the building. The menu is mostly drinks, but they also offer a few pastry options. One thing to keep in mind is their drink sizes aren't the same as most coffee shops. A small is 16 oz, a medium is 24 oz, and a large is 32 oz, so double-check the sizes before ordering. I also like how customizable their drinks are, especially the different soft top flavors. My favorite drink right now is the Cocomo with banana soft top. Definitely worth trying! Overall, it's one of my go-to spots whenever I'm craving coffee. They make my drink the same way every time, and that consistency is one of the reasons I keep coming back.

I wish it was closer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would ding them half a point for not having air conditioning. They have an electric fan as well as overhead fans. My son ordered the 3 egg polish sausage meal with hash browns, and a biscuits for $11.99 and added gravy to the biscuit for $1. He rated everything 5 stars. My husband ordered the patty melt with French fries for $11.99. The fries were hot and crispy. He gave 4 stars because he said the patty melt had too much cheese. (Is that possible?). I to ordered side dishes to try out different things. I ordered 1 pancake for $2.50, a side of hash browns for $5.49, and a side of 2 biscuits and gravy for $5.49. The pancake was large and was fantastic. The biscuits and gravy were humongous and a full meal by themselves. The biscuits, before being sliced, were about 4 inches high, light and fluffy, and delicious. They were covered with a good amount of gravy. I was only able to eat one half of one and brought the remaining 3 halves home. The gravy is not one full of sausage or bacon but it is tasty. The dining room has plenty of seating.
