My absolute favorite Asian fusion place in Denver. If you are a vegetarian, this place is fabulous. Their sesame tofu is crispy perfection. Portion sizes are generous without being way too much. They also have some great veggie apps. The pineapple cheese wontons alone are worth the trip. Their potstickers are also good. They're also open until 11 some nights. Ordered the beef drunken noodles and General Taos chicken for delivery. The noodles were dry and over cooked with almost no sauce. The vegetables with the chicken were cooked poorly. I ordered the sauce "spicy" but it was incredibly mild and didn't have the tang you expect with General Taos. The chicken itself was nothing special. Very unsatisfactory meals. read more

We started with the Avocado Roll to share. 2 halves apiece, with a nice sauce. Before we had finished them, we were served the noodles we had come for. She had Dan Dan Noodles, and I had Singapore Rice Noodles. I'm really glad she wanted to come here when we were both wanting to get some Asian noodles. I like how they cater to vegans here, and are happy to adapt anything they can accordingly. After having such a nice first visit to Karma, I will be back soon, even if I have to come by myself. We order from here once, and often twice, a week. The food is never cold, almost always great, and delivery is fast and professional. We've tried out what seems like almost every asian/thai/chinese delivery in the area, but once we found this one, we stopped ordering from anywhere else. We've gotten the hot crispy tofu, sesame tofu, garlic tofu, spicy mango tofu and general tso tofu--everything except the last two were excellent (and they were still good, just not as consistent). They've also recently changed their recipe for their crab cheese wontons--I really liked them before, now they're the best rangoon I've ever had (and they're never burnt which is awesome). Their vietnamese egg rolls are also delicious. We've had their chicken, but it's mostly dark meat and chewy, which neither of us like--that's why we stick to tofu. I'm looking forward to going into the restaurant one day and trying their spicy edamame, which seems to be everyone's favorite thing (but doesn't seem like it would travel very well). Anyway, if you're frustrated with super average asian food delivery options, give Karma a try--hopefully you'll like it as much as we do. *Note: for those people who are always afraid their tofu dishes will come out soft and jiggly, karma properly fries their tofu so that it's nice and firm on the outside, and soft, but in no way jiggly, on the inside. read more

I was excited to see Inari and Green Curry on the same menu! I guess thats why they call it Fusion. However, I was very disappointed. As for the Inari, all I could taste was vinegar. The rice wasn't sticky, but falling apart all over my plate. Overall, mediocre at best. But the most awful part of my meal was the Tofu Green Curry. Either they don't use coconut milk, or they use light coconut milk, because my curry was translucent and goopy. The tofu was also deep fried, and I know from my cooking follies that when you put deep fried tofu into your curry the dredge becomes gummy and nasty. It was not edible at all. I was sad to spend 15 bucks on a Inari, because it was the only thing I could choke down. Maybe their other food is good, but I dont plan on finding out! read more

I'm a fan. The menu is filled with various types of Asian cuisine, which is nice for groups because everyone can get something different. I had the hot and sour soup, one of my favorites, and they did it well. Also, the bowl was gigantic for $3. My boyfriend had a curry with tofu and assorted vegetables in a peanut-esque sauce. He's a meat eater, but the combination of fried tofu and the savory sauce had him commenting repeatedly on how delicious it was. And the bites that I sampled lead me to agree. I really enjoyed our meal here, and I can't wait to sample more of the menu. read more

YuuuuuuuuuuuM! Not only is this place in walking distance to my house, but it also has fantastic food! The Asian-Fusion menu has an awesome variety with dishes ranging from Korean to Thai, Chinese to Vietnamese and everything in between. Every time I have eaten here the food has been consistently good and they often have some excellent specials in addition to the usual fare. There is also a happy hour that runs from 4-6:30 with great deals on drinks and appetizers. The interior of the restaurant is cozy but unfortunately, the bench seating is quite uncomfortable on the heiney (needs waaaaay more cushions), so my advice is to sit at one of the four-tops instead. The only other complaint I have is that they occasionally seem understaffed and the service can be a little on the slow side-so if you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend eating here. Wow! This is now my favorite Asian restaurant. My wife went in this past Saturday night and it was a great experience. The service was very friendly, the prices are great and the food was outstanding. They make all the traditional dishes, but put their own stamp on all of them. Went to Karma because it was close enough to our house (we live in Berkley neighborhood) and wife was craving Kim Chi. This place did not disappoint. The service was awesome and very friendly. $1 sake...and it is the small bottle of hot sake..not just a shot....plus BOGO beers...the Jaam Bong was da Bomb...very tasty - $12. Kalbi beef was ok..the avocado rolls were good...the spicy edamame was tasty and the seasame chicken was delicious.. will go here again for sure. read more

This is without question my favorite every-day Asian restaurant in Denver. We're lucky enough to live down the block, and I have to restrain myself from wanting to eat here every night of the week. Every dish I've had is a notch above what's expected: more delicate and complicated flavor, marvelously executed. The Jaam Bong is possibly my favorite dish - a red hot spicy seafood and noodle stew. When I moved to the neighborhood I was told that Karma was the best Asian delivery in the area, so of course I had to try it and here's my take. I love stir-fry dishes with veggies, so I have tried several of those. Every single one of the stir-fried dishes I have tried (Garlic, Volcano, Thai Sriracha, and Spicy Basil) taste as if it was made in the same pan with the same strangely sweet sauce. I thought maybe it was an off day so I ordered from them several more times thinking It would get better, but it didn't. Needless to say, that after all the recommendations, this was a huge disappointment. The only two things I will ever order again, because they actually tasted the way they were described on the menu are: the Bang Bang chicken and shrimp and of course, the spicy edamame. There are many other restaurants in the area that actually provide variety in their flavors. I definitely wouldn't recommend Karma Asian. read more

Delicious, unique, well-priced meals that you'll be addicted to. I first came to Karma for the happy hour, $6 pad thai and $3 appetizers, and BOGO beers!? Yes please! They have hands down the best edamame that I have ever had; they're salty, garlicky, a little bit of heat with the peppers and blackened over the grill. Karma has also changed my opinion on tofu, the tofu pad thai just hits the spot. If its from 3-6pm I generally eat off the happy hour menu because everything is just so delicious. I've also been here for a date and we had very good wok meals, the spring rolls are also to die for. The restaurant itself has a intimate feel in a hip area. local folks, do you remember when Wokano was the most mind-hurtlingly delicious fusion place in town? yeah. that was before the folks that now run Karma sold it. Karma is everything Wokano was, and more. it's larger, more elegant, more serene, and has a slightly expanded menu. everything on it is reliably delicious, from grand entrées to the humble spicy edamame starter. (humble is not really an apt word, because everyone i know who's tried these is immediately and precipitously addicted to them, including my notoriously picky boyfriend, who is as conservative about food as an eight-year-old boy and will not even eat *chicken* if hot dog or hamburger is available.) i have never tried anything at Karma i didn't instantly love. you simply cannot go wrong, unless you for some reason pick something off the menu that you would never ordinarily eat anyway. i've never had a bad - or even mediocre - experience with the service, either. for some reason, when they ask you how everything is, you actually feel as if they care about your answer, which is something i've very rarely experienced. they're attentive, too, and your signature brushed-aluminum water mug is never empty. happy hour is a fantastic deal. dollar sake, inexpensive tapas offerings. a marvelous place to go with friends on a grey afternoon. portion sizes are generous; prices are extremely reasonable; and if parking in the chichi broadway district is problematic, the Goodwill across the street has a magnificently roomy lot right behind, for a short walk of half a block. read more

The main dishes were good, and very well priced. Everything was about $6-8. I was with two people who have spent their fair share of time in Asian and there were no complaints on the food. I am usually pretty skeptical of restaurants that serve just about every type of asian cuisine. they usually don't do any region particularly well. So my advice with karma asian- stick to the stir fry's which are impressively good. The tofu is lightly fried on the outside, soft on the inside, the vegetables are fresh and crispy and the sauces are tasty. I have been less impressed with the curry's and thai dishes here, the flavor is just not right, but their stir fry dishes are probably the best asian food I have found yet in denver. read more

Well, apparently takeout is NOT the way to go. I figured i would try Karma, in my never-ending quest for decent Asian food. Unfortunately, the disappointment continues. I got the veggie dumplings, the tofu tod (or golden triangles), and the sesame balls for dessert. The veggie dumplings were chewy and kinda empty inside and waaaaay too salty. The tofu was not very crispy. The sesame balls were decent (hence the 2 stars), with a good chocolate sauce for dipping. Based on other reviews, maybe the problem is their delivery. I can honestly say this was the worst Asian food I've ever had. Maybe I went about it all wrong; ordered delivery on a Monday night. Not the best time for a food establishment to shine, but really shouldn't be an excuse. Ordered their special Hot Crispy Prawns, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodle. Prawns were cold and soggy on a bed of raw vegetables sitting in a pool of thin runny sauce. Gross, ridiculous and a complete miss of the basics of cooking and service in any form. Pad Thai tasted ok, but got the feeling they went for quantity over quality on this one. Drunken noodles were dry and flavorless. Frankly Karma Asian, I'm disappointed, and I think some bad karma is coming your way. read more

I love the atmosphere and the food here. I had some delicious chicken drunken noodles. But I have to give 3 stars due to poor service. We came in on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't super busy. But our waiter forgot about us! We were very patient and tried to flag him down several times, but he ignored us. We finally had to approach the bar and ask for our check. The only downside to any Broadway restaurant is finding parking. Once you do this place is awesome for lunch. The specials on the back of the menu can fill you up enough to only need a lite dinner.
