The entire staff from the front desk team to Dr. Callicott are all simply wonderful. They adore Merit (or at least acknowledge that he should be held in the highest regard) and he doesn't mind going for his spa days. I have to give a shout out to Amanda, the lead groomer. She is truly one of a kind in the cat grooming industry around Johnson County. You can take my word for this as I've called almost every groomer in the county and there are less than 5 groomers who accept furkids of the feline variety. I had planned on just going down the list until we found a good fit, but we never made it past the first one because she takes such great care of Merit. I totally recommend this for grooming and for pet care. I've never boarded there but I have witnessed other boarding situations along the daycare and can verify they have epic pet sitting skills. I am also confident in this enough to leave Merit there during the day after his grooming sessions. Don't miss this; don't listen to me, just look at judgy mcjudge here. Believe this face!

She gets nervous when people come into the home and I'm not there which makes pet sitting a challenge - so much so that she was fired as a client by the service I used in Chicago. Enter Newman's. Not only are both sitters, Emma and Christine, lovely people, they handled Edna in stride. They are awesome about sending texts after every visit and give me updates and details so it never feels like they're just checking a box. Christine has been our go-to and she's just awesome...noticing things like new food bowls and finding nice things to say about my salty Edna. I always look forward to her texts when I'm away. The owner, Jena responds to requests immediately (even when she's on vacation) and never has a problem with last-minute schedule changes. Overall, the level of service is truly exceptional - I highly recommend Newman's if you're looking for someone to take amazing care of your pets while you're away.

I have family that goes here as well and when I asked them about her they all said she's horrible and had similar stories. She was also rude about my dog, a rescue with a traumatic past, yipping in the office. The last time I went was the final straw because she was just shamelessly horrible to me. My family and I will never go there again. The managers have to know how horrible she is because she's been awful to everyone I've ever seen her interact with. They're ignoring her behavior and it's costing them clients. I won't go somewhere where the receptionist is rude to me or where the management continues to employ someone who acts that way.
