I called Karros in Burbank after seeing a car they were advertising for sale in Car Gurus and Jose stated over the phone the car was available. I drove there and the first thing Jose did after greeting me and showing me the car was to provide me with the vehicle's car fax, which corroborated all the statements related to the condition of the car in their advertising as it was posted. He showed me the car and answered all the questions I had regarding the car's mechanical conditions and repairs done before it had been released for sale, in this case new brakes and motor mounts which I, due to my automotive repair background, was able to tell the repairs had been indeed performed. He went through, explained, and tested all of the car's features. When time to do the test drive came, he handed me the keys an said "here's the key, test drive it, surface streets, freeway, up to you. Don't be afraid to accelerate the engine, see how the transmission shifts, test the brakes, see how it handles, drive it for 30 minutes if you want" The car turned out to be in in excellent conditions both, aesthetically and mechanically. At no time I felt pressured or perceived Jose as being "pushy" but rather displayed a helpful attitude and an extreme pleasant personality. When browsing for a used SUV I bumped into Karros Burbank on Autotrader. They had a Honda CR-V with very low miles. I was hesitant about it because it was priced a little higher than others. I called in and spoke to Siso who was very professional and helpful. He even offered to give me the Carfax reports if I decided to buy from out in the street. I ended up taking his word for it and I sent him an ad for another CR-V with slightly higher miles. Sure enough, as he mentioned to beware, the CR-V had miles that have been rolled back. Instead of reporting the real mileage of 192,000 it showed 73,000 and no mention about it in the ad. Anyway, I decided to drive down to the dealer and he introduced me to Jose who was very helpful and down to earth. He actually let us test drive it by ourselves so I can drive it comfortably without him being there, I was blown away by that. Long story short, I felt very comfortable with them. I honestly was expecting the "sales" treatment but at no point I felt like they were out to get me. I am very pleased with my experience. I paid a little more than what I wanted to but it's worth it. I recently traded in my 2008 Honda Civic Si for a 2002 Acura RL. Jose and Mario helped me out. No Pressure what so ever. They were straight forward with the deal. Easy to talk too. Very polite and handled my deal with excellent professionalism. I got to thoroughly inspect and test drive the Acura. Found a couple minor items that needed attention. They were able to help with correcting the more important issues. They even matched what other dealers appraised my trade-in. The only con I have is the interest rate I got. Although I was financing a low amount, my interest rate closed out at 10%. I have excellent credit and feel they didnt really fight for a lower rate for me. But when all said and done, I did agree to the 10% rate and I am still very happy with my experience at the dealership. Here are the issues I found on the Acura during inspection. - Low tire pressure (Corrected upon purchase) - Low fluid levels (Corrected upon purchase) - SRS light was on (Appointment for correction in about a week) - Driver seat was stuck and would not move forward or backward on the Right Rail. I've purchased two vehicles from this dealership. After my first purchase, the sales representative I worked w/ offered to follow me in the newly purchased vehicle for a 30 minute trip to Burbank airport where I dropped off a rental car after business hours. Less than a month after purchasing the first vehicle, a flower delivery driver made a left hand turn into the front of the vehicle resulting in a total loss. After receiving my insurance settlement, I returned to Elmer Fields. I paid a mechanic to inspected the second vehicle before I agreed to make a purchase. He informed me that the vehicle is in excellent condition w the exception of the breaks, which he told me are worn to 20%. I mentioned this at the time of sale and the dealership told me they replace the breaks of most of the vehicles before offering the car to the public, however, if I had a problem to return and they would take care of the matter. Within a weeks time of purchasing the vehicle, the brakes needed service. I returned to the dealership & as I write this review, the brakes are being replaced at no cost to me. I prefer ceramic pads, so I brought the brake pads w/ me. I recommend this dealership and applaud their operational excellence. read more

I'm a stone mason and was looking for a 1 ton Chevy for hauling stone and trailers. These guys happened to have one. (I found them on CarGurus.com.) Through some phone calls and texts Jose sent me all the info I needed (Carfax reports, etc.) in order for me to do my own evaluation via KBB, NADA and Edmunds. I also asked my mechanic in Carpinteria what he thought. Once I agreed to move forward they got my financing approved ahead of time. I really mean it when I say that I had a great feeling (because the gut never lies) when we arrived. They were very transparent and showed me all the numbers. Because they were exceptionally open and honest with us, I'm writing this review to praise the folks at Elmer Field--especially Jose--EVEN THOUGH WE ENDED UP NOT BUYING A VEHICLE THERE. There was no high pressure strong-arming or attempt to misrepresent the particular vehicle we were interested in. When we came back after having the vehicle inspected by our own mechanic with some issues that would need correcting, they made a very generous offer to offset the costs via the sell price. Although we weren't able to cost justify the difference and didn't purchase the vehicle, they were very understanding and polite. I am so pleased with my 2006 Sebring I bought from Jose at Elmer Field Auto. My 1st Sebring was so much fun I wanted another one but they stopped making them around 2010. So, I found a used white one I wanted with only a little over 32,000 miles for $5,400.00 through Auto Trader. I live in the SF bay area and the Car was in Los Angeles so we called and spoke to Jose who is the greatest. I was worried it may have sat for a while since such low miles. He gave us all the info and said it ran good as new so it sounded so good I went to LA to check it out. It was exactly what Jose said, it's in perfect condition. It runs great. I went to Elmer's for my first car, I thought getting a car from a dealer would be such a pain. Until I came here everyone was so nice and friendly. And after getting into a car accident with no insurance, I thought I would end up continuing to pay for a broken car that I couldn't afford to fix. Until I went back to Elmer's, talked to Jose and got help to fix it for half of what I was being charged. Just bought a 1998 Toyota Avalon on Saturday October 5th 2013.. Drove 400 plus miles home from the dealership.. Car is more tha I had hoped for .. The price was awesome!!..
