    Tesla Y Exterior

As a follow-up to my earlier review, I wanted to share an update. In addition to the cosmetic issues I originally mentioned, which were promptly addressed, I later discovered a discrepancy between the tire standards reflected in CarMax's public-facing 125-point inspection and the measurement process being used in practice. That is something I believe should be clarified for future customers. After I raised my concerns and provided supporting documentation, including Tesla's official OEM tire replacement guidance, management approved replacement of all four tires. Of course, I would have preferred brand-name replacements, but I felt this was a fair resolution and decided to move forward. To their credit, Manuel, Brandon, and the service team handled my concerns professionally, and I appreciate that management ultimately chose to make it right. My constructive suggestion is simple: CarMax should clarify the tire standards listed under its 125-point inspection so they accurately reflect the measurement process being used. That would help prevent unnecessary confusion for future customers. I'd also strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle take detailed photos of the car on the day of purchase, and again before any service visit, in case questions come up later.

Sold my car recently and it was a pretty easy process. They were busy but the wait wasn't too bad. There's a process where you check in, meet with a sales associate, then the inspector. You meet again with the sales associate after the car is inspected and they give you an offer which is non-negotiable. They offered me a fair price and I took it. Once you accept the offer, you go to another section where you give them the title, registration and other documents. The last part before being given a check takes the longest and that final person is the person that enters the information and cuts you a check. Everyone was so friendly and efficient from the receptionist to the sales associate (not sure what their official title is). I would definitely come back to sell another car in the future. They seem like a legitimate place, unlike other places I won't mention.

Original price when I test drove car!

Bait and switch! How does a car go up in price $2000 in 2 days?! I test drove the 2023 Taycan in pic on Tuesday (66k) and wanted to go back and buy on Thursday and price went to new price! (68k) Unbelievable! What a scam. News to CarMax, only classic cars appreciate!

So glad we went to this Carmax location, we've been to others but the service here was top notch. K.g was incredible and worked with us in a timely manner. Very happy about our experience here and would definitely recommend!

Would CarMax buy my car if it has damage?

Depends.. if severely damaged, front fender crimped, or rear smashed in... probably not. But minor dents on an otherwise nice car... yes.. just might lose some value.… Read more

This was GREAT!! I sold my GMC Acadia to them. I was skeptical that this wasn't a legit company,…read morepartially because I had never heard of this business model of selling your car, and partially because of the name (it just didn't sound serious.) But I researched it and decided to go for it. It turned out to be the perfect happy medium between doing a dealership trade in (most convenient but least amount of money for your car) and selling my car privately (huge hassle but most amount of money for your car). I made an appointment and went to the Woodland Hills location. The whole thing took about an hour. They did an inspection, posted my car on their portal, and ran an online auction for 10 minutes where we watched a TV screen as about 50 dealers looked at my car. I got about 12 offers I think (10 is average) and I accepted the highest one. You don't have to; you could walk away if you wanted. But that offer was considerably higher than if I had sold my car to the dealership as a trade in. Maybe not as high as a private sale would have been because they are a middle man, but WAY less hassle. An hour versus weeks of fielding emails or phone calls, letting people test drive it only to be ghosted ... no thank you. They wrote me a check right there and I left my car. I had a friend pick me up. It was SO easy. I will definitely do this option again next time. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who handled everything; she was great!! Shout out to her and apologies for forgetting her name!
