On May 9th we purchased a 2000 Subaru Outback Touring XT from this Kia dealership in Glendale. The Subaru was a trade-in from someone who bought a Kia. The entire purchase took FOUR hours. The purchase price was already set from a AAA Auto Club car buying program and our credit is excellent, so I'm not sure why it took this long. Reflecting back on the experience, I believe it is a common sales tactic to make a potential buyer wait so that they become invested in the purchase. Once we got the car home, the next day I couldn't even get into the car! The key fob would not work, so initially I thought the battery to it went bad. Nope. We manually got in with the key, but when I tried to start the car, the battery would not let us start it. I had to call AAA Auto Club roadside assistance to jump the car. They tested the battery and said it had been drained somehow. They advised us to drive it around for a half hour and that it should work the following day. The next day I tried it again and the same thing happened! We bought a Subaru for its reliability, so the fact that it wouldn't start twice was a bad omen. When I called my sales person, Selim, he didn't seem very startled by the news. He asked us to bring it in so that their service department could inspect it. I did so the very next day around 8am. After a three hour wait in their service department (I mean, how long does it take to test a battery out and switch it??), I was told that there was nothing wrong with the battery or the car. I said that was impossible because I had two AAA Auto Club roadside assistant techs come to tell me that the battery was not working. They had even given me reports to this effect. The last straw was when I asked if they had changed out the battery and they had not. It was suggested to me that their dept would keep it overnight for inspection and that I could have it for another 5 days to test it out. However, something didn't sit right with me. After the initial purchase of the car I definitely wasn't taken seriously with my concerns about the car not working. So I returned it. The purchase may have taken four hours, but the return took 30 seconds! My drama doesn't end here, of course. I had a $8000 deposit that needed refunding, but this part never happened so I had to initiate it with THREE different banks! Do yourself a favor and learn these life lessons: 1. Don't buy a used car from a dealership that doesn't specialize in the brand of car you want. We ended up purchasing a great Subaru at Sherman Oaks Subaru (no hard push, less time, excellent service). 2. Walk away if you hear the words, "I'll check with my manager and get back to you in 10 minutes." You won't be waiting 10 minutes; they're just trying to get your business. Walk away because you have options elsewhere! 3. Don't buy from a dealership that isn't close to your house because if an issue comes up then you have to keep going back and forth. 4. Believe in yourself and don't let anyone else undermine you. After all was said and done, Car Pros Kia Glendale told me they sent that car to Subaru Glendale's service department. They found out that the wrong size battery had been installed on the car! They put in a 550 amp instead of a 750amp. It was like I said all along, something was wrong with the battery. Another fair warning: the salesmen don't have a lot of power. The finance guys are the wolves in sheep's clothing. They will try and upsell you on service packages and LoJack. read more

Alert! Stay far far away from the service center here. Twice I've taken my 1 year old Sportage there because the screen was malfunctioning and noises were coming from the trunk. Both issues were chalked up to "oh we don't hear any noises coming from the trunk" and the other "we don't know what do about the glitching on the screen." All the issues seemed like things most mechanics should be able to troubleshoot. The team there seems nice and well mannered, but don't let that deceive you. They talk a big game that they are the best Kia center in all of LA. I don't believe that for a second after my poor experience with them. All that is to say, I looked at YouTube to trouble both the rattle noise and the screen glitch and found solutions to fix them on my own. It's so sad to see companies like this dismiss customers and have mechanics just going through the motions to do oil changes as fast as they can to get the next car. I purchased a 2023 Kia Forte that was a certified and inspected with the manufacturers power train warranty. I started to notice an oil spots where ever I parked so I took it in to my mechanic. What they found was the oil pan had been leaking and had been previously attempted to be sealed and repaired. Bottom line cost me $1,100 at dealership to repair. I'm writing this out of my own used car experience with dealer and their poor inspection of vehicle to be selling as certified. Purchasing a car here was ok, but that's not what this review is about. This review is about their service department. It's easy to make an appointment and someone picks up the phone, but they really need to better staff their service department. I made an appointment to drop off my car at 10am on a Sunday, and I had to wait in a long line to drop off my car. They took about 15 minutes per person per car to check in, so I had to wait about 45 minutes to even do the drop-off since there were 3 cars in front of me. Then, they told me to come back at 1:30 since they close at 2. I came back at 1:30 and I was told to wait until my name was called in the lobby. I waited but then asked them to check if my car was ready after about 15 minutes since I had to leave for another appointment I had. The service guy (who was super nice) went to check and came back, apologetic, saying he was sorry but they hadn't even gotten to my car yet. (!!!!!!!) he asked me to wait about 20 minutes (past closing btw) while they worked on the car. I'll echo another reviewer here, which is that they shouldn't make so many appointments if they can't service them in time. Or, at least they need to give a better time estimate and make sure things are done as scheduled. I don't think it's the fault of any of the employees here, as I saw them all running around and constantly busy. This is definitely a management/upper-staff issue, and it goes to show how poor the management is here. Kia Car Pros should definitely work on their management and staff the service department better. Just bought a certified pre-owned 2024 Kia Niro. If you've ever had to replace a key fob, you know it's $$$, so when we went to drive our car home, and our salesman, (Michael) told us there was only one key. We were not happy. Earlier, we had overheard another couple there complaining about getting only one key. After leaving less than stellar feedback on Kia's site, Sam contacted us the next day and said, to come to the Service Dept. and they'll give us a new fob. If you are buying a used car, confirm with your salesperson that there are 2 working keys ahead of your purchase. They also give you a long checklist of everything they've supposedly inspected, one of which is the cabin filter. I just replaced it because the car smelled like cigarettes and it was very dirty (see photo). Maybe they inspected it but sure didn't change it. Bottom line, it's a car dealership, so expect shenanigans. At least they respond to customer feedback. read more

Went to buy a new 2026 Kia Niro. Sales seemed a bit rushed, but I was happy with the car as I drove away with the knowledge that they would "follow up in a couple of days," they said. This is where they fall apart. Call never came, follow up (email, etc) didn't happen for more than a week by which time I had tried using the manual key and set off the alarm (!). When I (eventually) reached my sales person I could hear him shrug over the phone; he didn't have an answer on shutting off the alarm without the key FOB. Literally just said "let the alarm shut off by itself." Ok. More alarming was that it sounded like it was the first time someone asked him this (maybe)? It was the attitude that got me. I am beyond disappointed with Kia's handling of this situation. We leased a brand-new Kia EV9, and within just 4 days and 256 miles, the vehicle completely died while we were driving on the freeway. The failure happened suddenly and created an extremely dangerous situation. My children were in the car, and we were fortunate that the outcome was not far worse. After an experience like that, I no longer feel safe or confident in Kia vehicles. The EV9 has now been sitting in the shop for 3 weeks, and we were recently told it may take up to 120 days to receive a replacement vehicle. Despite the seriousness of the breakdown and the fact that this was a leased vehicle we only had for 4 days, Kia has refused to offer any assistance with the monthly payment, even though we have been without use of the car for weeks through absolutely no fault of our own. What is most frustrating is the complete lack of effort to make this right for us as customers after such a serious safety issue. This was not a minor inconvenience -- this was a brand-new leased vehicle failing on the freeway with our family inside, and yet there has been no urgency, no meaningful goodwill, and no support with the lease payments we are still expected to make. This place is running shady practices i bought a 2025 new Sportage about 7 months ago when we agreed on a price the sells guy brought out the paperwork and as I was looking over it I notice an add on called pulse for 1,094$ I asked the salles guy what was this for he said it was a safety feature for her 3rd brake light I told him I didn't want it he said oh well it's already installed on the vehicle after some back and forth I settled on just getting even though I didn't want it but I felt like a had no choice so anyways long story short after driving around town I noticed my 3rd brake light didn't do anything different besides light up solid Red when the brake was pressed so I didn't think much of it so 2 weeks ago I brought my car to Kia of Glendale the place we're I had originally bought this car from to get its 1st oil change after making an appointment I spoke to the service advisor and checked in I mentioned to him that the pulse feature was not working and that it appeared that it had never been activated and if they could please check it out he said yes 4 hours later he comes back and said to me it was never installed to begin with so I paid 1094$ for something I didn't want in the first place just for it to never had been installed on the new car so I asked the salles manager for a refund and he was being a smart ass and refused to give me a refund and said all they could do is install the pulse feature but I don't want it I want my money back some one is charging labor for parts that are never being installed on the new cars I already reached out to KIA American done in Irvine I started a claim I will be seeking legal representation read more

0 Star - Shockingly Bad Treatment at Car Pros Kia Glendale My wife called ahead to make sure she could stop by on her lunch break to test-drive a Sorento. They told her it was no problem and to come in. She got there, was seated, and then sat ignored for 30 minutes. Salespeople walked right past her. The sales manager was sitting only a few feet away and still never acknowledged her. Not a hello, not a "we'll be right with you"--nothing. When someone finally decided to speak to her, she explained she just wanted to test-drive the car and that a third-party broker was handling the deal for her. That's it. No negotiating. No hassle. Just a test drive so she could compare it to other models. Instead of helping, they brought out their in-house broker--who immediately got loud, yelled aggressively, and started pressuring her for broker information she didn't owe him. He talked to her like she was doing something wrong by not using him, and the whole exchange came off as pushy and hostile. And the sales manager, who watched her sit there for half an hour, stood by watching that too, doing nothing. My wife actually had to call the manager out directly and ask if this was really how they do business. Only then did he bother to intervene and allow the test drive. She still drove the car, but only after being treated rudely, ignored, and pressured for no reason. If this is how they treat women who come in alone, people should know. No one deserves that kind of behavior at a dealership. We won't ever return to Car Pros Kia Glendale, and I hope management takes a serious look at how their staff is behaving. After a nightmare experience at the Van Nuys Kia service department, Car Pros Kia Glendale is a breath of fresh air. I won't go into detail about what happened at VNK. I spoke with Victor on the phone and he assured me that diagnostics would be a few hours at most, so I went ahead and made an appointment for this morning. I was greeted professionally and my concerns were addressed. Diagnostics took about an hour and repairs took another hour - all under warranty. * The Sales Experience: My experience began with Simon, who was fantastic. I called to check availability, and he was ready for me at 7:30 PM. He was incredibly patient, re-checking monthly payment scenarios several times to accommodate me. If you are buying here, Simon is the person to see. * The Finance Pitch: I reached the Finance office at 9:00 PM. I was exhausted and had my infant with me. The Finance Officer, Philip, pushed a Platinum warranty and a 72-month maintenance plan. He promised a "good deal" and claimed that I would have a $0 deductible and that everything would be covered (whether it was the factory's fault or my own). I questioned the need for a maintenance plan on an EV, but he said it was a great deal. Crucially, he never told me the total cost of these plans until I asked him my monthly payment, stating it would only go from $900 to $996 (which also included GAP insurance). Because I was tired and trusted his word, I agreed and left feeling satisfied with the deal. * The Discovery at Home: The experience only soured two weeks later when I sat down to review the actual documents. I was shocked to find I was billed $5,700 for the Platinum warranty (price significantly higher than market rates) and $2,224 for the maintenance plan (for an EV?!). Furthermore, the "$0 deductible" I was promised was actually a $250 deductible on the online account when I registered. I felt misled, scammed; it was a total breach of trust. * The Delay Tactics: I called to cancel these plans, remaining really calm and pleasant. I did not scream or yell, though I certainly wanted to. Despite my approach, the staff used triggering delay tactics: -- Gatekeeping: Instead of helping me to process my cancellation, a different finance officer tried to "re-sell" me, claiming $5,700 was a "very good deal." -- Management hiding: When I asked for the Office Manager, the officer panicked and told me point-blank that the manager "is not approachable to customers" and doesn't take these calls. -- The Runaround: I was shuffled to a supervisor who continued to stall until I finally had to cite my legal right to cancel. * The Self-Resolution: I eventually had to take matters into my own hands and cancel directly with the warranty provider (Fidelity) because the dealership was so unhelpful.. It's a shame! Simon provided a 5-star sales experience, but the deceptive tactics and "gatekeeping" in the finance department left a very sour taste. read more

The way this dealership handles things is extremely unprofessional. I went to the parts department to buy some items, and the gentleman there asked for my phone number, then my VIN number,that's understandable and necessary. after that, I had to go through multiple unnecessary steps just to pay. I had to click and confirm several times, approve the charge, and then sign on the screen. On top of all that, he asked for my full name! And sign the receipt/documents at the end. Honestly, I was about to ask what kind of nonsense this is. I shop at places like Best Buy or Target and spend thousands of dollars and they never ask for my full name or ID just to make a purchase.
