Love that the matcha is sourced from Vietnam. Vibes are 10/10 inside. Good amount of seating and have yummy pastries from Milk Belly. Service is pretty quick too despite lines that can get long, it moves pretty fast. The matcha itself was light, balanced, not too much depth to it. I found it refreshing, light, but still yummy with the pandan Muoi cream. Wish it was stronger though but I still enjoyed it for a mid day pick me up. First of all, the vibes are super nice!! I wish I took more photos but I went close to closing time. We barely made it in the store before they closed. Parking is only street parking, which is really limited. My friend and I both got the Pandan Muoi Latte. Although it was not customizable with sweetness or anything, it was perfectly sweet! I was surprised since I'm not a huge fan of sugary sweet drinks and typically order on the low sweetness side (30% or lower). The coffee tasted nutty and works really well with the Pandan flavor. Just stopped by this Sunday afternoon and it was pretty packed, just figured out it was their Grand Opening weekend! Many sitting inside the store and outside there were many stools. Line to order was all the way to the door but moved quick. Drinks also came out fast, like a couple minutes. Pandan Muối Latte: 4.5/5 I enjoyed this drink! The pandan salted cream top was yummy and paired well with the coffee. Sweetness was perfect with the cream top Sơn La Matcha Latte: 3.5/5 First couple sips tasted a little diluted and more of a grassy/earthy matcha. I didn't use a straw so maybe it made a difference but towards the bottom, it was a bit sweeter and balanced out the grassiness taste. I would recommend if getting the matcha latte to drink with a straw. Just okay, had better matcha elsewhere in San Jose. We were lucky enough to be able to find an open parking spot right in front of the store but by looking around, parking is very limited. I've been waiting years to write this review. I first found Kevin and Eric back in 2019 at their pop up in the Mission District in San Francisco, and I've been a fan ever since. Through the pandemic I was ordering their Vietnamese coffee concentrate batches to make at home, and more recently I've been to their pop up at Vago Super. So getting to walk into their actual cafe during this soft opening in San Jose felt like watching something come full circle. The space itself is exactly what I hoped it would be. It's not sterile like so many new cafes trying to look perfect for photos. It has real character, with little red stackable stools scattered around and a mix of different tables and seating that all feel intentional rather than matched from a catalog. I felt I was in a cafe somewhere in SEA. There are small touches throughout that nod to Southeast Asia without feeling forced, and it makes the whole place feel warm and inviting. The coffee tastes amazing, I got the Pandan Muôì Latte and it tasted like coconut and Pandan without being overly sweet and refreshing. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Their grand opening is this weekend, and if the soft opening is any indication, this is going to be one of the best cafes in San Jose. Easily my favorite spot in the city right now. I heard good things about Kasma Ca Phe so I've been wanting to try it out. I tried their signature Pandan Muoi latte. Delicious! The caramel like salted cream is so salty (in a good way) that I almost felt like I'm having a bite of crispy sizzled bacon. This is quickly followed by the mellow sweetness of the cane sugar, creating a classical piece of sweet and salty working together in harmony. My only complaint is that this duo doesn't last too long and fades away half way through the journey. If there were someway to preserve the flavor all the way through the entire journey, it's easily the best latte in SJ (maybe that's not even physically possible though). I invited my friend to try Kasama Cà Phê with me on a Monday morning around 10am. My friend got a kick out of the short plastic chairs and tables. He had just come from Vietnam where it was common to see this type of furniture at restaurants, so it was like a nod to his own experience. I saw that they had a small display of pastries, but I did appreciate that their focus was really on the coffee. If I remember correctly, they had 3-4 specialty drinks. This was our first time visiting Kasama Ca Phe after they opened. It's located in the first level of an apartment complex across the street from Whole Foods by the Alameda and is a parking garage right next to the cafe for retail guests. The interior is quite spacious and there were multiple groups of customers studying or working. It wasn't too crowded for a Friday afternoon, so we were able to order and receive our drinks within 10 minutes. The owner / manager took our orders and gave a helpful overview of the drinks on the menu and how they source coffee beans from all over Southeast Asia. He also mentioned that their drinks are all "not too sweet" which is my preferred level of sweetness. We ordered the Kalamansi Summer Spritz and Pandan Muoi Latte, which is their most popular drink. The Kalamansi Summer Spritz was refreshing and crisp without being bitter or astringent as citrus mixed with espresso can sometimes be. The Pandan Muoi Latte was balanced and had the perfect level of salt on the cream top, which brought out the grassy and nutty flavors of the pandan which I found to be unique, as other cafes' pandan drinks tend to lean more coconut in flavor. I could have used a small spoon for the cream, as it did get stuck on top of the ice cubes as I drank it. The staff told me their drinks are all not too sweet but between the two, the pandan is sweeter. Kasama Ca Phe is a super nice touch to the cafes situated in San Jose! I stopped by with my husband since we were drawn in by the cultural touch of both our culture (we are both Viet/Filipino). We stopped by when it wasn't as busy during their soft opening so we were able to get served fast and even had enough time to chat with the baristas/owners. They were super friendly and sweet answering our questions about their decor and their coffee process! Inside felt very cozy and minimalistic which was a refreshing touch than what im used to here in SJ. My husband and I tried their Pandan Muoi Latte (a good 8/10) and their Davao Mocha Coffee (5.5/10 for us). We enjoyed their Pandan drink with the nice touch of the salted cream top, def elevated the drink overall and gave us that Pandan taste that wasn't overly artificial. The Davao Mocha was a little too bitter for our liking and wished we could've had a bit more of the mocha be incorporated into the overall drink to balance out the bitterness. We came in around 2pm on a Saturday. Took about 23 minutes from start of line to getting out drinks. Ordered the "Pandan Muoi latte" and "kalamansi summer spritz". Pandan Muoi latte definitely was more cream forward with nice notes of coconut/Pandan sweetener, the presentation is very nice with a sprinkle of Pandan over the top, Kalamansi summer spritz, was the highlight of our trip. It was different. Kalamansi (think of a tangerine and a lime had a baby) limeade, so sugar and sweet plus espresso. This shouldn't work but it does. I kept drinking it and kept saying that. It was very refreshing with a nice caffeine kick. Both drinks were great and I would order again if the wife and I make the trio back down to SJ. Went with my mini me to check this place out. Parking can be challenging. There is a garage connected to the cafe but you have to pay to park. And there's only about 20 stalls. Street parking is a hit or miss. If all else fails, park at Whole Foods across the street. It was busy when we arrived but they are quick. All the seating was taken but if you want to hang out, there are small stools available, outside and inside. The decor is a nice and the lighting is mellow. A pleasant atmosphere. As many in the bay, I've been seeing videos of this place all over online! Hearing that a Filipino + Vietnamese spot opened up in my area, I had to make a trip to stop by and support. I grabbed a matcha son la, pate choud, and calamansi butter mochi. The matcha was good, with oatmilk for no extra charge! They didn't ask and I should have mentioned, but it wasn't sweetened. As someone who needs a bit of sugar in their drinks, I know it would've hit 10x more a bit sweeter. The pate choud was great! Very flavorful and Venice and flaky on the outside. The calamansi mochi bitter however, was a bit disappointing. The flavor was good, but the texture was too sticky and not enough structure. LOVEEEEEE this place! I was super excited to see it was finally soft opening and had to come try. I've come a few times and always get the pandan muoi latte. Flavor is rich and not too sweet, and they use nugget ice which doesn't water down your drink when it melts (details details!!). The pandan cream top is delicious. Visited Kasama Cà Phê during their soft opening and it was a lovely experience! There was a line upon arrival, but it went by pretty quickly. The workers were so friendly and welcoming, and even offered recommendations from their menu. There's actually a pretty good amount of seating for people to wait or do some work. Our drinks came out in a few minutes. My boyfriend and I ordered the Davao Mocha and the Pandan Muối Latte. The Davao Mocha wasn't too sweet and reminded me of Milo and Ovaltine. We were both really impressed with the Pandan Muối Latte! All the notes in it complimented each other so well, with a delicious pandan salted cream, and was also not too sweet. I've passed by this place last month and I can see the long line out the door during their soft opening day. So I came by on a Sunday morning greeted very warmly with so few customers. Kasamera Cà Phê is another addition in the South Bay specialty brewing Filipino- Vietnamese coffee with a distinguished aroma for the ones with discriminating taste. Located in an area comprised of commercial buildings right across from Whole Foods Market. No cash required simply placed your order via self-service kiosk which seems to be the norm. I got the Davao Mocha a unique Filipino coffee deeply rich flavor unsweetened yet refreshing. Menu selection is very limited with so few items to choose from other than a pate chaude and butter mochi and not much else. I find some of the flavor profiling strange. The coffee isn't that strong. I also asked for less ice but they declined the request and assured me the ice is slow melting. Well... the ice did in fact dilute the drink and there was so much ice in it that there wasn't much drink... read more

This place makes my half Filipino heart full. I love fusion of Filipino Vietnamese coffee. A place I can resonate with flavors that remind me of my culture and up bringing and the best compliment I can give as Asian American is its " not too sweet " the perfect balance of strong coffee flavor and subtle notes of sweetness that's not too overpowering. I tired a few different drinks here and pastries and you really can't go wrong with anything. My favorite so far is the pandan latte. I love foam top with robust coffee flavor mixed with evenly blend of milk with nice hit of pandan flavoring. Today I tried calamansi spritz. What is Calamansi? Calamansi is small tart like citrusy fruit. It's basically like a small lime/lemon. It's often used in cooking like when my mom would make bistek or drinks like calamansi juice. Kalamansi Summer Spritz This was so unique! I never had drink like this! The best way I can describe it is like Italian Soda with calamansi flavoring and shot of expresso. I never knew these two things go together. The tart like citrusy flavor with shot of expresso was nice surprise. It reminded me of one of those chocolate orange candies with a hit of coffee. Overall, I am really enjoying the close proximity of this place to my workout class. The atmosphere is so serene and zen. I'll definitely be back more often to try more things. First time coming here today! Decided to stop by after hot yoga cus I never heard of a Filipino Vietnamese fusion coffee place before parking is available across the lot at Whole Foods which was nice and I was able to find the place quickly. I walked in and the ambiance is very cute and decorated well, perfect for hanging out with friends. I asked the barista what he recommended,and since it was my first time he said the pandan muoi latte would be the most popular. He was super nice! The drink came out very quickly so I appreciated that. The drink itself wasn't as sweet as I thought, which was great and it had a perfect balance of coffee and flavor that I wasn't expecting. It was definitely unique but in a great way. I would definitely come back to try the Vietnamese coffee and some of their yummy treats! read more

A MUST STOP if you're in San Jose!! I've been fans of Kasama Cà Phê since their pop up days, so it was really exciting to finally see their beautiful shop in San Jose! As soon as I heard there was a Filipino + Vietnamese coffee spot, I knew I had to stop by! The drinks were great and I loved that the sweetness was subtle without overpowering the coffee, and the coffee itself had the perfect strength. Service was A+. Erik and Kevin are clearly passionate about what they do and really committed to their craft. The interior is beautiful and has such a relaxed vibe. Definitely a great spot to catch up with friends, hang out, or get some work done.
