I haven't had something like this in a while since cheese foam drinks were trendy about a decade ago! Talk about nostalgia. It tasted floral and not too artificial. Note - when you order in store your drink is served without a lid so it's up to you if you'd like to use it. The matcha latte, to be honest, is not one of the best. I was a little turned off seeing the syrup on the bottom, since a matcha latte is usually a green and white gradient. Aside from visuals, the matcha itself is not remarkable and has a powdery, fake matcha taste. (I know getting boba in your matcha is basically committing a sin but I was craving it lol.). I enjoyed the drinks when we went during soft opening, so we went back during the grand opening. I don't blame them for the long wait times to order or the long, long wait times to actually get our drinks since they were so busy, but the drinks during grand opening were not as good, even though I ordered one of them the same as what I got during soft opening. The coconut coffee was watery and missing coconut flavor. The pistachio coffee was pretty good with bits of pistachio to crunch on. I ended up combining both of the drinks since the pistachio was so creamy and it tasted good. Then I came back a third time on a regular day with quick ordering times, and I was able to get my drinks very quickly. Unfortunately, on that third visit, the drinks were below expectations. We got the Genmaicha milk tea, which was okay as a milk tea but lacked any Genmaicha flavor. Considering the milk teas cost more than the coffee, that was really disappointing. When I picked up my order, it tasted nothing like coconut water. I checked the label on the cup and it is printed pink matcha milk. There's no pink matcha milk on the menu. I wanted a text receipt but never received one, and I think this was the case for a lot of people because none of us knew our order number, and we had to guess which orders were ours. My lady and I wanted to try this place after seeing it all over her social media! We ordered a Cookie Butter Matcha (her's), Saigon Classic (mine), and a Chorizo Pate Chaud. We honestly weren't expecting the Saigon Classic to be served with that amount of liquid, especially for the price paid when other places offer essentially the same price with more liquid, I guess I would have gotten more liquid if I ordered the Saigon Latte which adds milk, but at an additional cost. The Cookie Butter Matcha was good, but in our opinion both drinks weren't something that "WOW'd" us. The staff didn't offer me a cup holder or bag till the last staff handed me my last drink. The staff didn't put a lid on any of my drinks. I wish they did as they're asking for spilled drinks to happen. The bags they provided has slots for two drinks which is neat, slightly more secure than the usual cup holders. I crave the skinny banh me, the patte chaud pastries and the salted cheese coffee on a daily basis. I have gone back every weekend since they first opened. I just love the atmosphere in there and the staff are just soo soo sweet. I get my salted cheese coffe 0% sweet with honey boba and its just the best combo. Final Thoughts: 3.00/5.0 New matcha place that my friend wanted to try. Their pictures on yelp and social media looked to have quite promising matcha pictures. The cafe is still within their soft opening stage and they do provide a 15% discount at this time. Overall, I do there are some improvements to be made during this soft opening time in preparation for their grand opening. To give them some grace, it will be a 3 star from me today. Drinks: Pistachio Cold Foam Matcha, 75% Sweetness: 3.5/5 This was my friend's drink and I definitely thought that it was the better one of the two drinks that we got today. The taste of the matcha looked and tasted better than mine. Starting with the cream, it was quite sweet, but it tasted better when it was mixed into the drink. The nuttiness from the pistachio is there. It is a light flavor, but you can still taste it. Matcha taste is present with just a slight bitterness. Maybe the sweetness augmented how bitter it was. Banana Cold Foam Matcha, 25% Sweetness: 3.0/5 The color looked like this dull forest green versus being a bright and rich matcha green color that I'm used to from other drinks. First impression and glance from afar is good, but upon having a closer look, it wasn't to my expectations. For the cream, it was very sweet for something that is considered 25% sweetness. The base is incredibly bitter and grassy. Perhaps this is just because of the brand of matcha that they use. 100% not a brand for me. For the banana flavor, it was super light and almost so light that I couldn't even tell if it was an artificial or real banana flavor. By the time I drank half of the cup and some of the ice melted, I felt that the flavor was a bit better, which is kind of interesting. I do think that it is a real and fresh banana flavor, which is nice. The mouthfeel of the drink is not the best. It's very grainy and not smooth on the tongue at all. Menu: Their paper menus have some descriptions and appear better for looking at if you want an idea of what you're getting. Their menu on the kiosk has missing pictures and no description, which makes it difficult to determine what some of these items are given the name. One of them was labeled as "Blue Matcha". I couldn't tell you if your average person would know what that item was without a proper description. My friend only noticed the standing menu next to it with the description after. Another note is the milk substitute. I think some drinks allow milk substitutes without an upcharge. Doesn't look like other drinks have that option though. Either that or it's an option and they just don't specify it anywhere. --------- Quality: Not whisked to order? Now, initially, I thought the dark green color meant that their matcha was nice and strong and there was enough matcha mixed into it. Upon getting my actual cup and having a close look at it, the drink appears to be more dark because is it oxidized and not because of the quantity of matcha mixed in it. This could mean that their matcha is made in batches and just poured in upon ordering versus whisked to order. The matcha is quite bitter (even for me because I like to have some of that taste to it). This one is just very grassy and not a brand of matcha powder that I have a preference for. Price: Average Their prices currently range from $6 to $8 for a drink, which is a fair price for Bay Area and for what we got today. Nothing too notable here. Service: Zero Interactions We literally had zero interactions or greetings. Of note, I was looking for a table and then I saw one of the staff members clearing a table. I thought the table would open up, so I went closer to reserve it. So interesting because then the staff just sat down on the bench and gave me a blank smile and stare when I asked if she was finished cleaning the table...I ended up just walking away and we sat in the isolated table where the "exit" door is at the end of the walkway. They seem friendly, but I really couldn't tell you. Ambiance: Lively and bright The interior is quite small, but very bright and lively. From the outside, it looks quite small, but the inside has only a decent amount of space. This might be due to the layout of the space and how they designed the interior. The area looks really cramped and we were maneuvering through people to get to the exit. Of note, there is also really no space for standing to wait for your drinks. I guess there is the side wall where their storage closet seems to be, but there was also a crowd there. Location/Parking: Tiny Location is at the corner of Williams Road and S Winchester Blvd. Super limited in this shared parking space. If I'm counting correctly, there are 20-22 spaces available depending on how people park. The spaces are currently not defined by lines, but mainly by the blocks behind them. Had people parked properly and centered their car in the middle of those blocks, another space could have been made for one more car. Street parking is available. read more

I've tried two drinks so far: Blue Iceberg Latte - pretty good if you like coconut flavor. More milky than coffee. Biscoff Latte - no Biscoff flavor except for the Biscoff cookie butter on the sides of the cup and cookie crumbs and cookie on top. I had to scrape the cookie butter to get the taste in the coffee. I was a bit disappointed, though; the drink tasted milky. I could barely taste the coffee. I prefer a stronger coffee taste over a milky one. If you like milky drinks, then you should give these a try. read more
