But my husband & I were so excited when we found out they built one in Princeton since that is closer to home! The chicken is so juicy & tasty! I get the Garlic Honey Chicken which is soo good! The pickled radishes are so yummy! And the fries are so crispy! We have not eaten inside yet but when ive gone to pick up to go orders it looks like pretty inside! I ordered takeout from bb.q Chicken in Princeton, a place that proudly announces its allegiance to poultry right in its name. Naturally, I decided to ignore that and go rogue. I ordered the Rose Ddeok-Bokki, described as a less spicy, more creamy variation of the classic Korean street dish made with rice cakes and fish cakes in a sweet and spicy chili reduction. When I brought the bag back to the lunch room, my coworker took one look at the container and said, "Wow, that's a big bowl." Then I opened it, and we both learned a hard truth about perspective. The bowl was half empty. Not metaphorically. Literally. Still, what was inside was so good that I found it difficult to stay disappointed. The sauce was rich, layered, and deeply flavorful. It hit all the right notes. Sweet, spicy, creamy, and just complex enough to make you stop between bites and think, whoever made this knows what they're doing. The rice cakes were perfectly chewy, the fish cakes soaked up that sauce like old friends. I'll admit, I regretted not ordering a side of rice to make the most of what sauce was left behind. That mistake will not be repeated. All in all, bb.q Chicken impressed me. The food was excellent, the drop off smooth, and the promise of even better things to come, namely their actual chicken, makes me look forward to a return visit. Honestly, can't wait to go back. Where to begin, for starters I really enjoyed the way they made their coleslaw. It was really creamy and balanced. Their chicken, as always is delicious, yet the soy garlic is a tad bit salty for my taste. Our waitress was really sweet and helpful, answered all of our questions. Kimchi fried rice was good, though the fried egg was cooked hard. Fried dumplings also good. Inside setup is weird - if you're eating there you need to be sat and order from a 'menu', though you get no bill at the end and need to pay at the counter / are encouraged to tip in cash. Guys, you're a chicken finger shop - cut the nonsense about taking the order from a table so you can milk a tip out of people. I'm in the area often and need to eat lunch but I'm not going here so I can get bilked for a tip. I'd bet the high school kids nearby out on lunch also pass this up for same reason. Hubs and I've been wanting to try this place for a while but we found out that they use peanut flour in their batter when frying chicken. Daughter is allergic to peanuts but we aren't. So, we went off without her. LOL. We ordered the following: Rose Ddeok-Bokki- dish made of chewy Korean rice cakes simmered in a spicy, sweet, and creamy sauce. This was surprisingly good because I usually don't like dairy in my entrees. But, this took away a lot of the heat away. Small 8 pieces wings Gangnam style - black pepper sauce which has some heat but the garlic and onions balance it out well. The wings were nice and crispy and the sauce was pretty good. They have a "Common Allergens" chart on the wall, which is good if anyone has any allergies. There were fruit flies flying all around us . But, the minute we covered our food, they went elsewhere. Guess they were attracted to the vinegar. We thought this place was a takeout and were surprised that it was a sit down place. I'm glad we got to try this place. read more

I ordered three flavors: original, galbi, and soy garlic. All were delicious, but the soy garlic was definitely the best! It had a nice crunch and flavor. I didn't expect it to be a bit spicy, though, so my kids didn't really like that one. The original was mild and perfect for them. Overall, the chicken was fresh, hot, and crispy. Stopped by on a Monday night and the place was pretty empty though people were stopping by for take out orders. Placed my order (8 piece "small" order of wings - $15) and waited about 20 minutes. There was a sign in the front that said the current waiting time was 20-30 mins. The chicken was really good...perfectly cooked and crunchy. I got the "secret sauce" which was sweet and spicy...a great balance. The space was modern, clean and had some cool decor. There is seating in the front waiting area for take out orders and a few tables on the side and back for those who decide to dine-in. There were a few large TVs around playing different rhinfs included some k-pop music videos. The single staff I encountered in the front was great...very friendly and helpful. He was working hard to get the orders out as the came out and also taking care of the few dine-in customers. At almost $2 per wing...it may not be everyone...but worth a try if you can. read more

First time trying. I've been meeting to try the location near me in Edison so I was excited to go to this location on a work lunch. Service was quick. Went by chance since ramen spot next door was closed for break until 4:30pm. So went first for appetizers and was fairly unimpressed. To find out this is a franchise but first time trying it. I've had really good Korean Fried Chicken and This did not meet my expectations. We ordered 8 piece " Secret Sauce" and the double fried was not as crunchy as expected. We were also overwhelmed by the number of flavor options. You also can only choose 1 flavor per 8 piece was hoping 2 flavors per the 8 for $15. Also you have to request for pickled radish for side and have to pay for it, most KFC Already included. The only pleasant surprise was the appetizer we ordered so DDEOK was good with fried rice cakes with mini sausage and mustard on top. Looked nothing like picture. Service was ok considering only 2 tables but he seemed a bit flustered. Will give another chance next time. read more

Chicken was delicious but they don't give you what you pay for. 6 whole chickens and one radish? Every other BBQ chicken gives you 2 radishes per whole chicken. I got one for 6 whole chickens. There were two young ladies working the counter and I called them to make sure I had enough radishes for the amount of chicken I ordered since it was an online order. I was told it was their policy to give one per order..... guess they took it literally. Owner was nice enough to try to deliver more but I live 35 mins away. First off... I ordered 1 order of boneless Golden Original Chicken and 1 order of Boneless Garlic Crunch Chicken. My total was over $30. I wanted to sit down and eat a little before going home. I was told that is only for orders placed inside and not mobile orders to go. Mind you, I put a tip on my order. The original crispy chicken was dry and had dry portions on the pieces as if they were left out to dry or not covered correctly. The crunchy garlic was okay. Just play. Nothing special. I have had their chicken at different locations and never experienced an issue. I will NOT be coming back here. I'm so disappointed. Hosted two of my friends for dinner for some Korean style chicken take-out (boneless secret sauce & boneless original). Half way through the meal, I chewed on something sharp that also poked inside of my mouth. After I almost threw up what I was chewing, I saw that it was a piece of steel wire scrubber. I was so glad that at least it wasn't one of my friends. After apologizing to my friends, I drove back to the restaurant. I talked to the owner and the only thing I received was just an apology and a refund for the food. The owner confirmed the steel wire was from the restaurant, a remnant while cleaning the friers. While reading other people's reviews, I can see that this was not their first time. The trauma of what else I might have digested still lingers. Disappointed at the way the owner treats someone who had such a horrible experience. Especially as an Asian American, I was a strong supporter of this Korean chicken business (and even tipped for a take-out meal). Truly disappointed and angry. The place was utter confusion and the wait strongly suggested that this was not fast food by a long shot. Grabbed my Korean friend from work and had lunch here. We had wings both bone on and boneless. We had the special sauce and the honey garlic as well as the kimchi friend rice. The wings had an exquisite crunch to them and the inside was super moist and juicy. I expected such crunchy wings to have sawdust like the wings you get at the pizza places around but these were FANTASTIC! The boneless wings were more like chicken strips - they are nice size and I was really surprised because I'm used to small little nuggets when we order boneless. My friend said he makes better kimchi fried rice at home but I thought it was pretty darn good. Given that I've never had his, I'm not sure if he was telling the truth or not (he is a bit of a joker). The food was so good and so much of it that I brought the leftovers home.
