I was craving kimichi jjigae so I checked this place out with a friend who recommended it. So good! Next time I'd get it more spicy because it was missing that kick. They did ask but I went with mild. Very quiet and chill ambiance which I loved. We were in and out on a Saturday evening. Def recommend!

I have been trying to go to this restaurant for a long time finally we went after a day of shopping. It was rainy and the food hit the spot. The side dishes were so good!! The seaweed salad was my favorite. The portions are perfect. We were greeted and treated great. The ambiance is homey.

There is a parking lot so parking is no problem. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, not crowded because we came right when they opened at 430p but they started to get busy when food came out. The food was delicious, real wholesome Korean food from your umma or Halmoni. My girlfriends and I shared starters. The soy fried chicken was divine, crispy, juicy and tender. The seafood panjeon was great, not too oily. Very savory and delicious. I got the seokuh soondobu, medium spicy. It hit the spot. Again traditional and that's what I enjoy . I will definitely be coming back with my husband and kids - good to know we don't have to travel to Bergen to get a wholesome Korean meal

Their private lot has ample parking spaces, which made it a breeze to park. I came here with a friend on a weekday night and there was a steady flow of patrons trickling in, but never too many that it would become crowded or noisy. Everyone had their socially distanced tables. The interior was thoughtfully decorated and quaint- almost felt like we were in a teahouse in Asia. I enjoyed the feel of it! We ordered spicy ddukbokki for the table as appetizers, and then dol sot bibim bob ( beef for my friend and tofu for me). She also later got fried chicken as takeout. The portions were generous and savory, and even the banchan was fresh! Everything was served within in a reasonable time, and I'm pretty sure it blows my local Korean restaurant out of the water. Feels just like a homecooked Korean meal.

Service was terrible . Rude waitress or host. Seemed annoyed that she was working/serving people. Too bad there isn't another Korean restaurant nearby. Owner seems like she has a chip on her shoulder.

Excellent Food, I had the bimbimpop and it was the best I've had in a very long time. Husband had the yook gae jang, very very good. Service was excellent and the ambiance is very nice. Would recommend to anyone that likes Korean.

I always go to this place, not gonna lie this is by far the best korean restaurant. The food tastes awesome!

The decor is very unassuming and you'll probably question yourself when you pull into the parking lot (like we did the first time) BUT after coming here twice, all I want to do is rave about this place. The hostess/ waitress is an absolute riot! She's cheery, has jokes, and offered us so many freebies recently when we came for Valentine's Day. Between her and the food, it's hard to pick a true star. After we ordered we got delicious crispy fried dumplings on the house. We ordered the Galbi and it was flavorful and tender and juicy and came out sizzling. We also got the gochujang pork belly and it had a nice kick to it and was also tender. The free homemade sorbet was served in a lemon and was out of this works. Every next food item was just better than the last. We left full and in such great moods. Can't say enough good things!!!

There is really no place better. This place is Berkeley Height's best hidden gem. The food is amazing, and the service is out of this world. The owner is a saint. She works so hard and always makes us feel so welcome. You can not go wrong here! 10 out of 10 recommend.

I absolutely loved the sauce bar and thought it was such a fun way to customize your flavor profile. There were so many options for seasonings and pretty much any combination tastes good. When we arrived it was pretty crowded and we didn't have a reservation but after 15 minutes at the bar we were able to sit down and the food came almost immediately. The restaurant has a great set up so you can get a drink and watch a game before your table is ready. Service is fast and attentive and every server who passed by was kind and friendly and gave tips about how to best enjoy the meal. The grills are replaced pretty much immediately and the food comes out within a minute of ordering it. My favorite items were the seasoned pork but everything feels high quality and is delicious. I would definitely come back and try the soup. We were able to take ice cream home which was a really fun treat.

We have been coming here for a while and always get the honey butter rice balls without fail. The crunch on the outside and chewy texture on the inside is perfect and we love the sweet taste. I would pass on the bibimbap next time, it was kind of bland and the crispy rice was burnt instead of golden. The japchae was the star of the meal. So much flavor, perfect cook of the noodles, and thin beef. If I wasn't sharing dishes, I would get this all for myself. Lastly, we got the regular size of soy garlic chicken, which was 12 pieces because they were out of the big drumsticks. The crunch was great with perfectly cooked chicken on the inside. I don't like that they charge extra for sauce but honestly this meal was such a bargain. A meal for 4 under $100 at a nice restaurant is rare. The service was fine, refilled our water on time but our waiter could've been more attentive overall. Ambiance is always great with a retro vibe and cool lighting.

I dared to try the cauliflower wings (half & half), which actually wasn't bad. Both flavors was good, although I personally like the spicy better (just make sure you can handle it, although it won't be too bad if you're used to spicy food). Garlic fried rice was okay, but not the best. Also seems like they don't give you a side of pickled radish at this point, but maybe that's because we're in Jersey. Also the kimchi fries weren't what I expected. What the fries were crispy and tasty, they just give you a tiny cup of kimchi cheese sauce. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expected the fries to be way more loaded. I ordered for pickup and it did take a lot longer than expected. I also felt sorry for the hostess, who was running around trying to help. There also was 5 people just standing around chatting, but the music was just a tad too loud to hear anyone trying to get their attention. I'm sure dining in would be a chill vibe, but can still have that and have it all together yk? Last thing is I definitely asked for bacon mustard sauce and heard them confirm over the phone, a bit annoyed they forgot that!

For appetizers, the bulgogi wrap ($16) and a small order of wings ($9) were ordered. The wrap was flax seeds flour rolled with bulgogi beef and various vegetables. There was also some type of mayo and teriyaki sauce (or eel sauce) on top. This was good. The wrap was light and held up with the beef filling. The beef was flavorful and paired well with both sauces. There were five wings. The sauce chosen was the sweet and spicy. Each wing was of good size while being very saucy. There was definitely more heat than sweet, but still ideal flavor. I did think they would be a tad crispier. For an entrée, I had the kimchi fried rice with beef ($22). This was solid. The fried egg was a little hard, but the rice had good flavor and was just overall tasty and well rounded. I also tried the bulgogi soup. The broth was outstanding. They also provided some broccoli, kimchi, noodles, and I believe glazed sweet potatoes as sides. The broccoli was great with a little sesame oil present. The sweet potatoes were pleasant as well. Will I go back? Yes.
