I popped in here to purchase a dress for the Kentucky Derby. The dress that I liked happened to be on sale and their size choices were limited in the Scottsdale store. I tried on the closest to my size, and realized that the next size up would be the best fit. The gals working were SO friendly, from the moment that I called to have them put the dress on hold, throughout the try on process, and finally to calling another store in California to track down my size! I couldn't have asked for better service and I am SO grateful that they helped me find the Derby dress of my dreams!! The dress was at my doorstep in 3 days. Yes, please! Headed in here with a few co-workers when we were in the area for work. I'd been in a few times before that when we lived in the area as well. They have updated the look and feel inside this boutique style location. It looks clean, well-kept and very bright and inviting. We were greeted right away when we walked in and offered help if we needed it. We browsed through the store, and I gravitated to the watches and jewelry as I always love her line of those items. The classic style earrings are timeless and go with pretty much anything. Yes, it's a pricier store, but in honesty everything I've gotten from this brand lasts a really long time and is well worth the investment. I really loved the new line-up which included some adorable cat bags!! I fell in love with a bag and matching wallet in September of 2017. This was my first time purchasing a Kate Spade bag/wallet and I was treated with first class service. In February of 2018 the snap fell off my wallet and the piping fell of the handles of my purse. I went back to the same store and asked for replacements as surely the items must be defective as a $300+ purse and a $100+ wallet should not fall apart within six months of purchase. The very snooty assistant store manager told me they could not find me in their computer, and I was told I did not purchase the purse there. She offered to send in the purse for repairs which she said would take 4-6 weeks for free. I was told I could not get a refund or a replacement purse because she had no record of my transaction. I told her to have the store manager call me and left the items in the store. Christina Martinez the store manager called me back and she and I were able to work together to find my original transaction in her computer. She now insists that even though she has found my transaction in her computer, her assistant manager never treated me rudely and that her assistant manager would never have told me that if she had proof of purchase that I could get an exchange or refund for my defective merchandise. I told Christina to have her district manager call me, at this point I do not even want an exchange for the same product and I still do not want the defective merchandise repaired, I want a full refund. Based on the way I have been talked down to, and due to the high price tag/low craftsmanship of the products I purchased, I will never again sport Kate Spade products and be a walking advertisement for their self proclaimed luxury lifestyle brand. BUYER BEWARE, this company makes inferior products that they do not stand behind, and the salespeople will only treat you to first class service when you are making their register ring, not after your purchases have fallen apart prematurely. read more

I walk into Kate Spade and I'm immediately transformed to a time when tea time was mandatory and dinner was on the table at five pm sharp. Welcome to Kate Spade, a time warp straight into the 1950's. Recently, Kate Spade reopened its doors after a face lift (gasp, women didn't do face lifts in the '50's)! But, this lady who lunches did a great job resurfacing! The store is adorable. I could stay there for hours just browsing. They have clothes perfect for the stay at home wife and purses that make you look feminine even while hiking through the Grand Canyon. Here are some things I love about the Kate Spade store: - The decor. It's like a lady's perfect sitting room ready and waiting for afternoon company. - The purses - for being a high-end purse, they are more afford-ably priced than others. - The office supplies -- if you ever need anything for the office like a cute coffee mug, pencils, calendar, day planner, notepads, etc ... I have to say, anything less than 5 stars for the Kate Spade in Fashion Square is just nuts. Not only are the products spectacular but the customer service is next level. They have always been so sweet and so kind but, I have to admit, I was kind of a pain on my last purchase. I had fallen in love with a bag while at the Kate Spade in Oahu and forgotten any kind of information on the style. I remembered the price wrong and even the color. I was a hot mess. They never once acted anything but happy to help me get the right bag in my hands - even being will to overnight ship it to me for free. I ended up finding a picture of it in my iphotos and emailed it to them. They wouldn't hear an apology and were just happy that I was happy. They made my 11 year old feel welcome to browse around the boutique and, after falling in love with their inventory herself, she will be getting her first Kate Spade this Christmas. Oh heaven... We were immediately greeted by one of this locations very friendly sales associates. The decor in here is so cute. Its bright, but subtle, and comfy. I wasnt thrilled w/ the shoe selection when we went in but thats what the internet is for right? They have a vast handbag/ wallet selection at this location. It seemed like there was a new find everywhere you looked. Even the "discount" section in the back part of the store had a full look. They also have a wide variety of iPhone 4/4S/5 cases back by the registers. Yes, Ms Spades designs are pricey, but the quality is worth it. read more

I recently stopped by this location inside Scottsdale Fashion Square, because I also recently visited my alma mater, ASU, where Kate Spade is also an alum. I got curious about her new "camel" Spring collection and thought I'd browse. This store is a well-lit typically tiny upscale boutique that sells a limited selection of her line of novelty purses, shoes, tops, bottoms, jewelry, phone cases, pens, and some trinkets to help accessorize your chosen outfit for an outing. Her collection is made in China and appeared to be of very good quality. I especially liked her shaped purses i.e. camera. The clientele leans towards a gal who enjoys looking classy in an urban-girl way who likes fun cocktail parties and social events. Just keep an eye out for sales and online discounts (you get a discount when you signed up on their website) if you like to get the most for your money ;) The sales associates were polite and accompanying. I received a beautiful KS bag for my birthday and only use it during summer months as it is creamy beige. On the second season of using it the handles began to deteriorate and discolor terribly. When I brought my bag into this KS location I was told there was nothing they could do for me, BUT, I could have them send my bag to their manufacturer and they could possibly put some new handles on it and it would cost ME anywhere between $60 and $100. Now, I don't know about you, but when you pay around $350 for a handbag and it goes kaputz within 6-7 months of use something is truly wrong with the product and the company selling it. read more

The bad, a worker named Sam gave us attitude and acted like she was doing us a favor while the other worker (her manager) wanted to give us a discount on a bag (10%) she had something personal with us it seemed. So ive always loved seeing everyones Kate Spade purses, i finally decided to purchase one myself. I went in and the girls were helpful, i picked out my purse and went home. On the drive home, i was excited to take my purse out and see it. I was so upset when i saw a huge gash in the front leather. I called and asked the girl if this was a brand new one or one from the shelf, she said she unwrapped it in the back. VERY UNLIKELY. So i went back returned it, and she unwrapped it in front of me. I got home and realized that when it was unzipped it would ruin the leather surrounding it. I was frustrated and decided to just take it back all together. Then, i tried to return it was Lissette decided that i had pen stains and goo of some sore on it. which i did not, the goo was from her counter when she took the purse out and put it right in the goo! then she accused me of getting the goo on the purse. Finally, she said that she could not return it. I told her that i was upset and did not want to leave until something was done. Then, she said "well then i will just have to call security on you." I decided to not make a scene and left. She was not at all trying to make things right. Im a 17 year old girl, there was no reason to take it that far. As a previously happy owner of over 10 Kate Spade purses, I went into the Fashion Square store to see what was new. I purchased a purse, but unfortunately, it didn't work with my planned outfit, so two days later, I returned it. since I had paid cash (remember what that looks like, ladies?), I was told that my refund would need to be issued by check from the corporate office in New York, and would take 2-3 weeks to process. I asked if it could be refunded by debit card to my checking account, and they said no. I was then subjected to the most uncomfortable strong-armed selling attack by the three ladies working there, trying to get me to choose something else so I wouldn't request a refund. It was annoying to say the least - if I had wanted something else, I would have chosen it. Now they have the purse I returned AND my cash, and I can't seem to find anyone who can tell me if my refund is being processed (it's been 2 days shy of 3 weeks). I love Kate Spade purses, and now I know why I buy everything from Nordstroms. I know for sure I won't ever go to that store again, and I'm seriously considering whether I want to keep the two new purses I just bought-if that's their corporate policy, then I'm not sure I want to give them any more of my business.
