This was my first time having clothes altered here and it will be my last. I brought 5 cotton tank tops to be shortened to hit the top of higher rise jeans. I picked them up and they look terrible. Not a straight line hem at all. They were all terrible! I went to talk to Sam this morning and he thought his work was acceptable. He said I should have asked him if he could do a straight line hem. (I just thought that's the right way to sew a hem, straight) If I had known all my tops would have crooked hems, I would not have had him alter them!! I will not come back here. read more

Dreadful! I am not usually one to completely bash a business, however this is the exception. This establishment came highly recommended, I spoke to the owner and he assured me that my clothing would not shrink, and stated "I have been at this for decades" and know what I am doing. Well, low and behold a good 35% to 40% of my clothing was shrunk, shrunk to where I could not wear it any longer, without looking like a boy trying to wear his younger brothers clothing! The shirts had been shrunk a good 1" to 2" in the tails and at least 1" in the sleeves. A very expensive lesson, and an absolute no go! Beware. read more

This is Uncle Sam, his family has owned this dry cleaners for 37 years. My first time here I didn't have any cash on me only my card, so he told me to pay for it next time I had something cleaned and let me walk right out the door, only having my phone number and name as a contact method. Two weeks later I needed my coat cleaned before a trip, so guess where I went Right when he saw me walk in he greeted me with "Hello Miss Reece!" I had been there ONCE. I was new to Naples and found this place highly recommended on Yelp, but I am extremely disappointed and very angry. I repeated numerous times to the owner that I wanted my shirts dry cleaned so they would not shrink. He insisted that they be wet pressed and assured me they would not shrink--he has been in this business 30+ years blah blah blah. I was skeptical, but based on his insistence and assurance I trusted him. Well, I now find myself with about 40% of my shirts shrunk so much that I am unable to wear them. They are at least 2 or 3 inches shorter than before. Will definitely not be returning--a very costly mistake. read more

I've used this place to hem my pants before and was shocked when the $12 price I was quoted was raised to $15 when I arrived. I paid it, but wasn't happy about it. This week, I dropped off 4 pairs of scrub pants to be hemmed (I needed someplace close and convenient since I work 6 days a week). When I went to pick them up today, he wanted to charge me over $20 per pair! What?!?!?! That's more than I make in an hour and I was never told that price when I dropped them off. When I expressed my shock, he said he would lower the total price by $10, but "everything is going up...the cost of hangers..." I didn't buy any hangers, just hemming. It probably took him all of 15 minutes to finish them. If I didn't absolutely need these scrubs for work, I would have left them and walked out. I was disgusted with his price gouging and won't be back. I hope that extra money was worth losing a customer and having me tell my friends about my bad experience as well. He is a local business but he doesn't deserve our business for those actions. Awful! read more

Dishonest and unprofessional. Service is all smiles until they damage goods and called on it. Rather than admit to the damage the owner stated "he's been in business for 35 years so he's not concerned about loosing one customer" yeah, you read that right, the guy actually said that after he denied responsibility and was subsequently told we were taking our business elsewhere. Wow! He and his sister in law, who works at the Long Beach address, chose to lie rather than admit to mistakenly washing a garment that should've been dry cleaned thereby shrinking it 3+ inches! And damaging the delicate fabric..... Unbelievable. Really?! That kind of disrespect for a customer and their belongings, who was a patron for years, deserves nothing less than loosing patronage by the surrounding community. read more

I have been taking my dry cleaning to Katella Cleaners since it first opened on 2nd Street (so that is probably over 25 years). They do an excellent job and Sam, the owner, is great. In all these years, they have never lost an article of my clothing or damaged anything. I am retiring so I will have a reduced need for dry cleaned clothes. However, my son is entering the work force, and he is now using Katella Cleaners. read more

I recently took in my holiday table linens and napkins and just received them spotless... I thought the grease and wine stains would never come out. I dropped off two pairs of blue jeans to have them hemmed. I didn't request rush service, so I waited four days to pick them up. The stitching looks great, however when I was presented the bill: $24.00. The tickets showed 2/$3.50 and I questioned the lady about this and she said that this was just the marking. It made zero sense and rather than argue about the outrageous price, I just paid and went on my own way. Be weary of this place and their prices!!! I love this place. Sam and the other person who works here are just wonderful. I had some holes in sweaters and dresses, both which also needed cleaning. Done quickly, done beautifully, and the price is fantastic. The two I worked with are so lovely that - I mean, I don't know what else to say - it sounds ridiculous, but I picked up a load of dry cleaning today and I left feeling - uh, almost joyful. This was the worst and most unprofessional service I have received from any business ever!! The store hours posted are 7 am to 6:30pm. I arrived to pick up my clothes at 7:10 this a.m., but they didn't open their doors until 20 minutes after the posted hours of operation. I decided to give them a call while I waited. When they finally answered my phone call, I asked her if she got my v.m. and she hung up on me. I called right back and said "hello?" after which, she hung up on me again. I then called the other branch of katella cleaners in Los Alamitos, and asked to speak with the manager. SAM, the owner, yelled into the phone "it's 7:30 in the morning Lady!" and slammed down the phone. When they finally opened their doors, the woman had no idea how many items I had, and tried to send me off with half of my clothes. Also, the woman in line next to me was given some one else's clothes entirely. Please, please please, stay away from this business!! I have never been treated more rudely read more
