Took my wedding dress here for dry cleaning. It was $235 total. $200 for dry cleaning and $35 to fix the messed up strings coming from the bottom of my chiffon dress so that it doesn't come off during cleaning. I noticed there was still a light blemish on the stomach area and the strings hanging on the bottom. But I guess that's the best that they could do with my dress. Service is good. I came to the shop after trying a few tailor shop around that didn't work out a week before my brother's wedding to drop off my bridesmaid dress. She was so sweet and accommodating to help hem the dress a few days before the wedding. I was a little apprehensive to bring my expensive True Religion jeans here for shortening but decided to try them. The Asian seamstress (I don't know her name) was very helpful and had me try the jeans on and measured me for hemming. The stitching on these jeans was a fuchsia metallic thread and I asked if she could match this thread when hemming them. She didn't have metallic but had a fuchsia thread the same shade that she said she'd use. She said it would take a few days. I left there feeling a little worried since the thread wasn't the exact same but I felt it would still look ok since it was only the bottom hem. When they were ready on the day she promised I was pleasantly surprised how great of a job she did! And the thread matched perfectly as she took the time and effort to reuse the same thread she removed from each pant leg hem. She used this thread to sew the new hems. They turned out great and I would highly recommend this tailor. She charged $25 which is very reasonable. read more

I've been going here for the last several years and Vanna is literally the sweetest, most detail-oriented, and professional person when it comes to altering and hemming clothes! She is the only person I trust to alter/tailor my clothes. BAD If I could give this place a zero I would. I used this place for the first time and had them clean my expensive business dress. It went from black and white to cream and brown with a huge stain on the front...I paid 25$ to get a dry cleaning and had to beg her to get back anything for the dress. After weeks she finally gave me 50$ back which in reality was 25$ towards a 213$ dress I wore twice. Five days later my card that she refunded me on was compromised and thankfully my bank sent me a new card and caught it. I have never had fraud on my card and had the same one for years... I won't be going back. Response to reply: That black and white ( now brown and cream) dress was my absolute favorite dress I owned- despite the price. The fact of the matter.. your business is available to people because you adhere to a guarantee of good and quality service which I did not find to be accurate (hence, my yelp review). As far as fraudulent bank charges, I never stated it was your company. I just found it to be ironic that my card was compromised after our conflicting discussion shortly after I left your business. Yelp reviews may effect business, but as a consumer I am entitled to my own reviews and opinions. I took in a black and white BEAUTIFUL dress to have you remove a small armpit stain. One of the better priced cleaners in Belmont Shore for dress pants. I got a bridesmaid dress (length & width) altered here. It was about $55. The thin, lining layer of the dress was also altered but it was peeking out from underneath the main dress fabric and I had to bring it back. The owner was apologetic and fixed the issue right away. Make sure you get your stuff altered or cleaned several days before you have to go out of town in case anything like this happens. Overall, I'm still pretty happy with all the pant alterations I've had done here. There's a private changing room available. Then she'll pin your pants or whatever to your desired length/width in front of the mirrors. read more

I was a groomsman for a wedding in August 2019. Like most people, I procrastinated in getting my suit tailored. On SHORT NOTICE, Van accepted and told me that she can do the alterations. Van did an amazing job with altering my suit just days before the wedding. The jacket fit perfectly after she finished it. I have a thin frame and needed the suit to be made smaller. She made that happen miraculously. The sleeves were just the right length. I also needed the pants to be shortened and made SLIM FIT. She made it happen too. Vanna is one seriously talented one woman show at this small Long Beach business. Conveniently located on 2nd Street next door to Sweet Jill's bakery, the tiny shop is easy to overlook. There is a mirrored changing area for trying on/pinning, where together you determine the desired fit or any other changes to your garment. You will then receive an approximate finish date and price, which can be paid upon pick up. $10 minimum for credit cards. I have now had three items altered here, and am very happy with every one. After losing 50 pounds, my favorite designer denim shorts, silk dress, and charmeuse romper no longer fit me. Vanna was able to quickly determine how much each garment needed to be taken in, and her work was ultimately flawless. She was even able to sew new pockets into the delicate fabric of my romper, and it looks better than the original design. Do not hesitate to come here for all your tailoring needs. read more
