Charming Amish diner. Came for a late lunch or early dinner. Had the slow roasted turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese. Thanksgiving came early! This is a popular restaurant so be prepared to wait for a seat at a table or the counter. Great friendly service.

Food was so delicious & Rebeca was an outstanding server. Apple dumpling was fantastic!

We are back in Lancaster and Katie's Kitchen is a must stop for us. When we walked in I was so glad we did not have to wait. The service is always great! I ordered the Western Omelette with your choice of bread. I'm thankful they offer gluten free toast and it was really good. Plus, You must try their strawberry jam on your table. It is so good! My husband order the Southern Omelette and added crispy bacon with the sausage gravy. He ask to try a sample of each gravy and they were both really good. If you have not stop in at this gem you are missing a treat.

What a great mom and pop Amish diner. Came here for breakfast one morning and was not disappointed. Now the place gets crowded, so expect to wait. But once your seated the food comes out rather fast and is tasty. Everything we got was very good and had a slightly different take on traditional breakfast food. The sausage gravy was good and had a slight lemon zest taste. I also enjoyed the eggs and cornbeef hash. Kids enjoyed the pancakes and the coffee was nice and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend if your visiting amish country! PS, there is a small playground outside, perfect for the kids to play on as you wait to get seated or after you eat.

One of our favorite restaurants in Amish Country. Located right near Strasburg and Sight and Sound. This place has FRIENDLY staff. They are very accommodating and will always put customers first. It gets crowded here, so be prepared to wait or go early! Get one of these 3 meals: Roast Beef over Brown Buttered Noodles, Pot Pie, Meatloaf. Prepare to indulge in the comfort food! The peanut butter spread is so good. Save room to take some home with you!

This was the recommended place by the restaurant we were trying to get takeout but they were too busy for takeout orders. Also finding great reviews, I decided to come here to order takeout. Upon arrival, the place was also packed. I the place has a diner feel and is worked by a group of Amish young women. I was directed to the cashier counter to place takeout order. The gal was little frazzled but was friendly and eager to help. I placed a to go order for chicken salad sandwich, tuna salad sandwich, grilled haddock, meatloaf meal & a slice of carrot cake. Overall service is great and food was amazing. The only complaint was that in the midst of hurry, I discovered that my carrot cake was charged but was not packed. I was so disappointed since I paid $8 but did not get my good.

Great Amish restaurant. Excellent service and food. It's all run and served and cooked by young Amish ladies. We highly recommend it.

Delicious food and pleasant staff! We come here a lot more than they want us too as we are a loud party of 14. But nonetheless they're the best place and one of our staples when we visit Lancaster !

Awesome dining experience! We ordered our wraps prior to visiting the Strasbourg Railroad. It was about 5 minutes from the railroad. Great variety of options to chose from on the menu. We had the bbq beef wrap and the chicken cheese steak. Both were flavorful, delicious and reasonably priced. There was about a 45 minutes wait to get a table. The staff were very friendly as well! Awesome experience!

Stopped by Katie's Kitchen and had an excellent breakfast. The sausage gravy platter and the cream chip beef were outstanding. Service was very friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

The food was delicious--fresh, hearty, and clearly made from scratch. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. Just a heads-up: be prepared to wait. It's a popular spot, and things can move a little slower, especially during peak hours. Parking was easy, with plenty of space available, which is always a plus. Overall, a great experience if you're in the mood for comforting food, warm service, and a laid-back atmosphere. Just bring a little patience and an appetite!

Do they take reservations or "call aheads"? I am thinking for a group of maybe 12 max.

I believe they do for larger parties. Otherwise, no.

If you're looking for a hearty meal at a reasonable price, this place is hard to beat. A few highlights from our visit: The buffet is the best value, offering unlimited access to a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes. Both hot and cold buffet options are available, so there's something for everyone. Dessert is included and features options like pie and soft serve ice cream. The food tasted fresh, homemade, and consistently well-stocked. We left incredibly full and satisfied. Other things worth noting: Plenty of parking available in the rear lot. Clean and well-maintained bathrooms. Friendly, attentive service throughout the meal. Despite arriving with a party of five, we were seated in about 10 minutes. Overall, Dienner's delivers exactly what you'd hope for from a Pennsylvania Dutch buffet: fresh comfort food, generous portions, great service, and excellent value. Whether you're visiting the Lancaster area or finishing up an Amish tour, it's a great place to sit down for a filling meal. I'd happily return on a future trip.

We decided to visit Bird-in-Hand because we hadn't been there in years, and unfortunately, guess what happened when we all got home? We got sick. Of course, that's always one of the risks you take with a buffet, with so many people handling serving utensils and being around the food all day. That being said, this place really is one of a kind. It is much bigger than it appears from the outside and has a HUGE buffet with an incredible variety of food. For around $31 per person, there are so many options, including fried chicken, peel-and-eat shrimp, warm pie, ice cream, and about five different types of soup. There really is something for everyone. Most of the food we tried was hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was also friendly and pretty decent overall. Our party of three waited about 30 minutes to be seated. While we waited, there was a bar area where guests had the option to sit and enjoy fresh popcorn from a popcorn machine, which was a nice touch. There is parking available, but be prepared to circle around a few times looking for a spot because, once again, this place gets EXTREMELY busy. It's located in a very tourist-heavy area of Pennsylvania, and they host a lot of tour buses, so there are constantly large groups of people coming and going from the time they open until they close. It was loud and crowded, with lots of people and kids running around. If you prefer a quiet, relaxing dining experience, this probably isn't the place for you. I also felt that the bathrooms could use a little TLC. I understand this is an extremely busy restaurant with a constant flow of customers, but they could definitely use some extra attention. So, is it worth the $31 price tag? Personally, I would say no, especially since drinks are not included. For that price, I think beverages should at least be included. Overall, the variety and selection of food are impressive & this buffet definitely has something for everyone. But between the crowds, noise, constant busloads of tourists, and the fact that everyone in my party ended up sick afterward, I'm not sure I would rush back anytime soon.

Dinner plates come with Cole slaw, a dinner roll, potatoes, and a whoopie pie. There is seating outside. We both agreed that the chicken may have been the best we have ever had. It was seasoned so well and perfectly cooked. The ribs came with bbq sauce on the side. There was a line, but service was quick and efficient. The grills are right in front and you can see the cooking happening! Inside the barn, I could see them rolling out fresh pretzels. They also had homemade root beer, which was very good!
