Grandsons had a baseball game in Lancaster tonight. Afterward we looked for a place to eat a late dinner. I found this place. What a hidden gem! Truly is kind of hidden - tucked around the back side of Wild Wings. It's kinda new, opened around Thanksgiving they said.. (Across from Hobby Lobby on Fruitville Pike). What drew me in was they serve breakfast ALL day (open til 9pm). I saw bananas foster french toast on the menu and I was like I NEED to try that! So I got that and added a side of their breakfast potatoes. They tasted just like my mom's! -Sliced fresh potatoes, slightly crispy, done just right! Sig other had cinnamon swirl pancakes. Said they were really good too. So glad we gave this place a try! Definitely will be back to try one of their Benedicts! If you're in the area, definitely stop in and give them a try! Soooo good! Two thumbs up for sure. Staff were super friendly and helpful with questions. Place is on the upscale side (think trendy/hip coffee shop feel) and on the fancier looking side. Lots of menu options. First time trying them out today. The food is fantastic, everything came out nice and hot as it should. The food was delicious, my husband and I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and capers! Stopped in for breakfast after dropping my daughter at the Amtrak station. Hubby had a cowboy burrito and loved it. I had a blueberry scone with whipped cream, which was delicious. Just off Fruitville Pike, this hidden little gem has a ridiculous selection of breakfast and lunch choices far off the common path: two examples for illustration but look at their webpage for details: "Dubai Pancakes with pistachio Creme filling, melted chocolate, and pistachios on top! Decadent!! And how about the Eggs Benedict with poached eggs, buttermilk brined fried chicken, and sausage gravy over a wonderful country biscuit accompanied by breakfast potatoes or your choice of sides-and a MOST INCREDIBLE Harissa sauce that knocked my socks off! Did not have to wait long for food. The loaded hummus and the Monte Cristo sandwich were delicious!!!! Friendly and engaging wait staff.

The staff and atmosphere were wonderful. We went on a Thursday afternoon and the place had few diners. We both ordered the fish sandwich($14.00). It came out fairly quickly with a nice batch of fries. The sandwich was about half the size of a fish sandwich from several local diners. No lettuce or tomato. While very tasty we felt it a small portion. We will go back and try other offerings as the menu is extensive. read more

I was very hopeful but portion sizes were small. The food was good but coffee wasn't great. I found it odd that you were up charged for everything. Decided to give this place a try after the positive feedback from other reviews. Called to see if they had a call ahead waiting list they do not. When I arrived was told 30-35 minutes... I said ok 50 minutes later finally got sat. Overall food was good enough but service was poor. Couldn't understand why there were 3 tables not being sat with such a wait. Realized why when I was finished. First issue a server should know the menu...ours did not. Second issue if you're short staffed or have inexperienced servers working- have all condiments creamer sugar-sugar substitute on the tables. Also consider if the table all orders coffee drop a small pitcher so the server isn't running getting coffee. Trays would also be extremely helpful although according to our server- they didn't come in yet...?? I found out place is relatively new so I'll be heading back but going to give them some more time to figure it out. read more

The staff was great. The food was good except the one person in our group got the steak and eggs. He asked for the steak medium rare. When the steak came out it was well done and tough. The waitress said they can only cook steaks at medium or more. If he had known before, he would not have ordered it. We did take the steak home for the dog. read more

The staff was so rude we left before ordering! We were going to this restaurant for the very first time after coming back from a trip. When we came in they sat us down and we decided to just to take the food to go but was waiting for my sister to come back from the bathroom so we can order all together so I can pay for her. As we were looking at the menus, the waiter asked me to follow him so I can place an order. I told him I wasn't ready yet and waiting for my sister and he walked away. A minute or two went by and he came back again asking me to follow him so I can order. I thought it was a little weird because I just explained to him that I was waiting for my sister but I brushed it off and went to the register. As I get to the register the lady was very kind and told me to take my time which was opposite how I was feeling with the waiter. So as I look back to where my friend was sitting he was standing over top of her table as if trying to intimidate us to leave. While my friend was looking at the menu, still waiting for my sister and she asked him "are you waiting for me?" He said no but as he's coming around the corner I can see him getting an attitude and actively talking about us to the other waitresses grouped together! I was extremely upset that I witnessed that and we left without ordering ANYTHING. I will never support a restaurant with staff this rude! read more

Nice clean restaurant with decent service but food was disappointing. We ordered the Soup, Salad and Half Sandwich Combo. Soup was close to "ice cold". When re-heated it was only warm. The soup itself was overly thick, lacked flavor and tasted like it came out of a can. We originally asked for the chili but were told it would come at a $5 up-charge. The Mixed Green Salad was simply a small pile of mixed greens---this does not constitute a salad in my opinion. The Club and Chicken Salad sandwiches were OK. The pale, near-the-stem, tomato slices were very disappointing. The toasted bread had obviously been toasted earlier and texture was a bit harder than expected. The coffee was very good. I might return for breakfast, but will not be in a hurry to return for lunch or dinner. read more

The service was fine. But the price to food ratio was honestly insulting. I cannot believe that I was served 2 simple eggs thrown on top of some sour cream and hot sauce (tzatziki sauce as the menu claims) with 3 slices of warm tomato and what looked like barely half of a pita bread...and charged about $15 for it. I am so sick of restaurants scamming us like this and it makes me never want to return to Marmalade again. Truly unbelievably audacious. My husband and I stopped by there for lunch on Sunday. I had a caprese panini which was very good and my husband has chicken Parmesan which he said was the best he ever had. Have gone so far for brunch and dinner and can't wait to go back! Had their Greek Benedict for brunch which was amazing - poached eggs over spinach pie with hollandaise sauce. For dinner my husband and I shared the Mediterranean meze - hummus, tzatziki and whipped red pepper feta with pitas. I cannot wait to order this again. My husband is a huge hummus fan and said it was the best yet! The perfect starter. I had the mousakka for dinner - I grew up eating this and was so happy I ordered it. It was incredible! My husband got the mac and cheese with buffalo chicken on top, he was very happy with it. The service was wonderful, my server Sophia was very sweet and attentive. The booths are really comfortable and the music was relaxing for a nice dinner. Plenty of parking in the complex as well. So first time visit. Well probably the last! The four of us arrive to be told 30 minute wait. My 86 year old mom wanted to try it so we wait. Meanwhile staring us in the face from the start is a 4 seat empty table. We see multiple empty tables. They keep leaving and nobody gets seated. I ask the hostest after 20 minute wait how much longer. She says 10 minutes or so. Meanwhile people keep coming in and leaving because of the wait. I was told because the kitchen gets overwhelmed. I get that but seat people and get them drinks etc. I overheard a conversation with the hostess whom wanted to seat us with the manager. She said no! My Mom whom walks with a came was starting to get irritated as well. They finally seat us. Guess where? The 4 seat table that was open the entire time we were waiting for 35 min. Really? Our server was nice enough. We then watched a family of 4 walk through the door and get seated beside us right away. Had drinks and food before us! Service was mid at best. The manager could tell we were not thrilled and checked on us regularly which helped our review. 3 out of the 4 of us enjoyed our food. My wife said Hers had no flavor. My suggestion as a person whom eats out several times a week. If your kitchen cant handle it. At the very least seat people at open tables and let them know it may be a little of a wait. It will get you more business and happier customers. In the time I was there I watched at least 15 different parties hear the wait time and leave. With open tables everywhere! Also lots of staff standing around. Hope they figure it all out. Seems like many enjoy the place! read more
