One of my besties wanted to try this out and I'm always down to try new things. I love katsu, like who doesn't? Anyways, with full transparency here is what I thought on my Chicken Katsu Curry Plate & other items I ordered. - I asked for the curry on the side because I like to try food with out sauce first just to get a taste of the flavor by itself. They didn't put my curry on the side lol. No big deal. Curry was flavorful though. - Chicken Katsu didn't disappoint. It was crispy, juicy, and NOT dry. It was pretty good without the curry sauce. 10/10 - salad was cool had quite a flavorful dressing. It was somewhat of a mayo base. 6/10 - Mac salad, 1/10, I say this because it was lacking in flavor, it was extremely bland and was lacking in quantity. - the white rice was very dry/hard. It was giving a little undercooked 5/10 or perhaps not enough water. I cook rice daily at home as it's necessary with almost every meal at home so as you can see I was disappointed in it. - Yubu Pockets were pretty good 8/10 - Egg Sandos I didn't get to try, but my nephew did and he ate majority of just the eggs lol - strawberry sando, this was my first time trying something like this. It tasted like a strawberry cake, cream filling wasn't too sweet. 8/10 Overall, the katsu bar was pretty good in certain things and I don't mind trying it out again. read more

Our second time ordering to-go because we were so impressed by not only the food, but the bento box packaging that kept the food items intact. We got the shrimp katsu plate which was fantastic! The tempura was crispy and flaky as tempura should be. The portion is right. They don't skimp on the number of shrimp. We ordered through Door Dash for a pick up window of 20 mins. To our surprise, they had it ready right on time as there was only one guy at the front area working. That's the reality of restaurants today- not enough workers with all the challenges of running a business. We're definitely going back. Next time, we plan to order there (Door Dash has a markup on food items) and plan to try their pasta dishes and sando. read more

This is a huge spot! I believe this replaced the Pizza Rev... The spot is now a japanese katsu and poke place It's very clean and there is a decent amount of seating. Great place to grab dinner or lunch. Food portions were large and you can customize your curry to be spicier too. Out of all the choices we got for the yubu combo, I really liked the buldak and cheese yubu. The egg salad sandwich goes great with the extra garlic sauce btw. The rice cakes were such a nice appetizer, just the right amount of chewy, crunchy, spicy, and sweet. The katsu was well made and the portions more than fed us 3 for two meals. LOVE this spot. After watching the movie From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hands down the best 2025 movie. My family and I head to Katsu Bar recommended by Cristel and Gabriel. I see why they would come here occasionally after their Gym Session. I had try their Katsu Sandwich by far the juiciest and flavorful katsu I had ever come across not only that but the freshly added condiments with coleslaw, pickles and Swiss cheese that compliments the flavor of the whole sandwich followed by the softest and toasted brioche bun. Overall, this place is pretty good. They're still new so expect some "hiccups." Ordered the curry katsu plate with extra katsu. Was not given rice even though it clearly is written on the menu signs that each plate comes with "white rice, side salad, macaroni, and Korean radish." Was told by the girl working that the plate doesn't come with rice and "if I was sure the rice wasn't under the katsu." Not sure when this place opened but I've been waiting so long to try this restaurant. My high expectations were not disappointed. Food: I got the rosemary pork katsu sando with spicy mayo and waffle fries. There was Tuesday deal going on that made the price $13 instead of $14.50. Absolutely loved it! The bread was super soft and pillowy and the pork katsu was juicy and flavorful with the spicy mayo. Also ordered the pork katsu curry with curry on the side. This was also super yummy and came with salad and radish on the side. There's parking in the parking garage to the left of the restaurant and street parking. Service: service was quick and fast. There's a self-order kiosk or you can order with a worker. Ambiance: very modern environment with plenty of seating on both sides of the restaurant. Came with my partner to the best ramen in LA and wasn't disappointed. I've been to Katsu Bar before with old management but to our surprise, new management had taken over this week and wasn't disappointed. Tried to order the black garlic katsu ramen but it showed as out of stock. I asked one of the chefs and he went out of his way to check their inventory room and found some for me and my partner. Ambiance and chefs made it very cozy on a cold December night. Definitely will continue to come back. The worker there was super nice and helped me place a new one, and he even offered to make it really quick since I'd already tried ordering earlier. Overall, it was average. They can be better. We had orders of katsu plate $16, curry katsu $16, and cheese katsu with curry $17. As a fan of katsu, the breading and frying was good. The breading is not Japanese panko style, however, the oil seemed fresh. It was not greasy. The meat was very thin, paper thin. And size reference, no bigger than a typical sized hand. At least the katsu sauce is not gross, like Korean places. This was more ketchup based and it was tangy. Still, katsu sauce should be based on Worcester sauce and soy sauce. The plate comes with a side of salad green, steamed rice, scoop of macaroni salad, and pickled radish. The rice almost filled the plate, therefore mixing curry on the rice was like having two meals. The curry was not bad at all. After ordering, we noticed they had a weekday, daily specials, each day a different meal which comes with a drink for $13. Might come back on a Thursday for spicy rice cake and katsu or Thursday for katsu burger. The inside is open, dining areas on either side of the counter. There is a fountain drink machine. Interior - Interior is clean and big. The restaurant design is simple modern but maybe because it's more of my personal taste, I thought it was really cute. Customer Service - As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by multiple employees at once quite enthusiastically. I'm so used to most restaurants being pretty quiet and in some cases, service is pretty much non existent so I thought this was nice. They have a wide variety of items in their menu and they were really helpful with answering questions. Everyone was just really sweet overall. They do have two kiosks in the front if you don't want to interact with anyone too. Food - This wasn't my first time here but I ordered the medium build your own poke bowl and I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look much at first glance but when i mixed it, they actually gave me a generous amount of salmon and rice. Sauces (spicy mayo and sweet chili) were delicious as well. Parking - Now, parking was slightly confusing at first. There is no back lot or anything but rather a small public parking lot down the street that you do have to pay for. Boy oh boy oh boy...... I love me some katsu. I had visited the Katsu Bar in Korea Town before so this was a nice surprise as this is much much closer to me. Also to clarify this was a delivery order so I have no idea what it looks like inside. But I'm guessing it looks similar to the one in Korea Town. BUT I could be totally wrong as well. Lol I got their tteokbokki with an added Katsuncuz it was a really good deal and their Katsu is delicious! The tteokbokki was decent... But the texture of the tteok was lacking but the flavor was good. The only thing that it was missing was the spiciness as this was completely mild. I also got their egg sandwich as I LOVE their egg sandwiches. And this did not disappoint. It was sooooo good and the bread was so soft and delicious. I also got their tteok and sausage dish which was reminiscent of the tteok and sausage skewers that they sell on the streets in Korea. It was really really really good.
