I was very excited to try Le Shrimp Noodle Bar and it did not disappoint. I went with 2 others and it was so good that we had our own bowls of noodle and ordered two more to share. The broth definitely hits the soul. For those that love seafood, I highly recommend the shrimp broth. I ended up getting the chicken broth and it was sooooo good. I couldn't get enough - I ended up ordering extra broth AND noodles too. But the star of the show, for me, was the soy braised dry noodles. I mean wow, umami bomb. After trying at the South Coast Plaza mall for the first time few weeks back, so relieved they have another location not 100 miles away, coming from the valley. So bizarre that no place in the city has SHRIMP BROTH ramen except this place. Brought son and enjoyed so much its' becoming a monthly obsession (would eat every week if I can). I just don't like to settle for the pork and chicken broths served by the thousands across the city, so this place is truly special for me. The focus is on the meticulous extraction of shrimp flavors into the broth. The broth is served with a richness that resembles the texture of rich bone broths of similar origins. A simple silken tofu dish is a great starter for anyone. The wantons swimming in spicy sauce are absolutely a delectable creation. I only wish the dish had more. The restaurant itself had really nice booth seating by the window, and also another area with more tables. Our waiter was really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. My fiancé and I were curious about their Shrimp Noodle Bowl so we decided to try that and their Hainan Chicken. Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle in Shrimp Broth: 5/5 If you're a seafood/shrimp lover, then this is yours to try. The broth was very shrimp-y, pretty good but everything tastes like shrimp. I went with the Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle combo for $15 -- discounted but still the full portion -- and every bite delivered. The broth was deeply shrimpy, rich, and layered with wok-hei depth. The lava egg was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the karaage came out light, crispy, and amazing with that tangy, creamy sauce. This is new Chinese noodle bar owned by the Paradise Dynasty group next door. On a cold December night we stopped by to get a hot bowl of noodles. We were pleased that the staff knew about peanut ingredients. They have none in the kitchen prepared food. Our orders were tasty and the wok hei broth was noticeable. Unlike most Chinese broth, this was more like a ramen, creamy broth. The presentation was lacking. It felt like a "home" kitchen. The Hainan Chicken was sold out but the manager said there was one portion left which we promptly ordered. Thanks! The doorway lets in all the cold wind, so if you're sensitive to that sit accordingly. We like having another peanut safe option in Glendale. And feels like a small independent shop. Worth a visit. Le Shrimp is such a cutesy name. This was my first time, but not my friend's, and he had recommended the Shrimp Trio Noodle Soup. Thus, this is the one that we tried. Ordering was fairly straightforward with a QR code, and there was very little staff interaction after receiving water. After about 15 minutes, our noodles were prepared, and we prepared to dig in by asking for an extra bowl to share. The first staff member that we asked may have forgotten, so we asked another 5 minutes after. Overall, those shrimps were crisp and meaty. The prawn ball and wonton were also enjoyable, and those noodles were just the right texture. Unfortunately, The broth was a tad too salty. The thickness was great and reminded me of shrimp paste though in broth form. If that could be a broth, it'd be similar to this. She was calm and nice, but everything was on the slower side--waiting for a table to get cleaned, being seated, getting menus, ordering, etc. The exception was when it came time to pay: I was in the middle of putting my last bite into my mouth when she walked up and presented me with a card reader and asked if I was ready to pay. Tried their signature trio (A1) and one of their dry noodles. Portions were quite small. The food was very salty for me. The broth for the Trio Special had strong prawn taste, and it would have been salty-but-ok if it were a cooking reality TV show where I judged just one bite. But, eating a whole portion of the soup at that saltiness level was too much for me. There's no parking validation, so you can street park (meter) or use one of the garages nearby (3-5 min walk). Unfortunately, as for the service I thought it fell short. Although the staff was friendly, the wait times were unexpectedly long for food. My boyfriend and I ordered the same dish, but with different noodles--he requested thin noodles and I requested thick. When both bowls arrived with thin noodles, I kindly let them know right away. To make it easier on them, I asked if they could just bring a side of thick noodles rather than having to remake the entire dish. What started as a short wait turned into more than 30 minutes. During that time, my boyfriend finished his meal (which I encouraged otherwise his food would've gotten cold) while I sat there eating only the toppings, expecting the noodles that were repeatedly promised every 10 min I checked in. I ended up asking to have my dish removed from the bill since I really did not receive what I ordered. Even a side of lava eggs took over 20 minutes before we cancelled it as well. I understand mistakes happen--that is totally fine & not the issue. The frustrating part was the delay in correcting it, especially when the rest of the meal was already over. Came over here and didn't realize it was a separate restaurant than the dumpling place next-door. First and foremost, you need to love shrimp. And I'm not just talking about shrimp cocktails or fried shrimp or temper shrimp I mean honest shrimp. The soup specializes in a broth that is fresh out of the ocean shrimp. Was it good? Yes if you're into that. A little too pungent for us and for our taste. They also have dishes that you can say are either inspired by dinner Thai Fung, or were stolen by Din Tai Fung. But at the end of the day it's a little bit more unique. And a cheaper option if you're looking for something different. Will be back again, probably not. Again it's just way too much of a strong shrimp fishy taste for us. They were experiencing some grand opening headaches and we can understand that. The restaurant is small and connected to its sister spot, Paradise Dynasty. I ordered the Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle and WOW...so much depth in the broth, tons of shrimp, and that addictive wok hei flavor. Super unique and definitely not your typical ramen. If shrimp isn't your thing, the menu also has plenty of rice dishes and dry noodle options, so you're not limited to the shrimp bowls. Only downside is my eyes were puffy the next day, which I'm pretty sure came from how concentrated the shrimp stock was. Beware if you have a shellfish allergy! The Singaporean Paradise Dynasty has a sister eatery, that is also located at the Glendale Galleria. With its coronation came, Le Shrimp Noodle Bar. After visiting Paradise Dynasty a while back, I realized my ambition to try the shrimp noodle bar. It is a small space and is next door to the flagship brand. The shrimp noodle bar is touted to have the "Wok-Hei" shrimp broth, which they say is unprecedented and takes about eight hours to prepare. It was first introduced in the US in Orange County CA, then here in Glendale. In order to really taste the uniqueness of this place, you have to first be a lover of shrimp. Then, I would recommend ordering item A1, the Signature Shrimp Trio Noodle. This soup has prawns, ebiko prawn ball, prawn and chicken wonton and the 8-hour shrimp broth, cabbage, and green onion for a very reasonable, $18.95. So how was it? Excellent. The broth has a distinct and unique flavor of shrimp, an optimum viscosity and lightly creamy tongue feel to deliver. You have the choice of having flat noodles or thin noodles. I always go for the latter. For an appetizer, I had their chilled cucumber. It's a very small plate. The picture is deceptive, because it looks like a large portion. It costs less than four dollars and that's fine, but what was disappointing here is that the longitudinally served pieces of cucumber are devoid of flavor. They have good optics, but I was very surprised how bland they were. I asked for chili oil so that I could do some dipping, and believe it or not, this sauce had a high concentration of anise. Which, as you know, has a numbing effect on your tongue and actually takes away your ability to taste further. It really should be just chilli and garlic in the oil (like in all other places). So that was disappointing. Service was hurried and that was also surprising, because the place was empty. Still, a place that is worth visiting, more than once. read more

So excited to finally try Le Shrimp bar in LA!! We came within the first week of their opening and had a great meal here. I had the shrimp ball soup noodles with wide noodles, and my boyfriend had the special with regular noodles. The broth was so tasty, full of umami and wok hei (taste of the hot fire of the wok, as advertised!). It was reminiscent of shrimp ramen we had in Hokkaido. The shrimp balls were bouncy and there was some veg in there as well. Overall a really tasty bowl of noodles! My only qualm is that my noodles were cooked a bit too much for my liking so didn't have a snappy bite that I would want in a soup this thick and full of flavor. Wide noodles were similar to a tsukemen width of noodle, while the thin ones were ones you might find in a classic tonkotsu broth. Very disappointing experience. We came in last Friday with my husband and son. We waited more than 30 minutes for a table. It wasn't that busy, but the place is small and the tables are cramped. The food itself was good, but the customer service was very poor. We ordered the Crispy Chicken Noodles, Crispy Cod Noodles, and the Signature Trio Shrimp Noodles, along with three soups, extra eggs, and Truffle Fries. The extra eggs for the soup arrived first, followed by our main entrees. The fries, which were supposed to be an appetizer, arrived last. They completely forgot my son's order which is Signature Trio Shrimp Noodles . When we followed up, we were told it was "coming up," but after waiting another 10 minutes, they admitted they were just starting to make it. My son's food didn't arrive until 30 minutes after ours. By the time his plate finally hit the table, my husband and I had already finished eating. Customer service is extremely important to me. If a restaurant presents itself as a nice establishment, the service should match that quality. It is unacceptable for a family to be unable to eat their meal at the same time due to poor management. Giving 1 Star for being dismissed, treated rudely snd then ignored when I asked if A/C was turned on? Food gets 3.5stars. First time here, lured in by Dine LA $15 lunch. Le Shrimp Noodle is the casual noodle front of house part, when first walk in. As you walk thru, it leads to Paradise Dynasty Fancy Expensive part of restaurant, same owner. I could feel A/C was off and very uncomfortably hot around 78-80 degree temp. I drank 2 ice waters to cool off, but after 20 min couldn't take it. I went to front station, asked Manager Alexia if A/C turned on? Very Hot in here. He was very rude and dismissive, said he doesn't feel hot and the A/C is already on, it's always on and never turns off. I told him, I can feel there's no A/C. I'm seated w 3 A/C vents above the booths and there's zero air flow. I asked if he could please just check it's turned on. He said nothing he can do. He ignored me and acted like I was annoying him. Lo and behold I could feel A/C kick in about 10 min later. Told my server Noah, who was wonderful by the way, about what happened. At this point, I didn't know Alexia was the manager. I asked Noah if he could call mgr, so I could give helpful feedback about more training to staff to provide better service. I came here after seeing an IG reel about the Hainan chicken. Living in the valley, it's such a hard dish to find, so I was excited to try it. The first time I tried ordering it, it wasn't available. I called the week after, and they only had 3 left to order, so I got 2. I also ordered a bunch of ramen dishes for my family and a friend. The Hainan chicken portion was shockingly small. Like, it wasn't even the size of the palm of my hand. I felt ripped off. It also wasn't as good as the one I got the week easier at Cluck2Go. The flavor just wasn't there. It was also supposed to come with broth, but it did not. The people who got the ramen really liked it. The broth was rich and it tasted fresh. If I were to go back here, I would only get the ramen. The restroom is located next door at Paradise Dynasty, so you'll have to step out briefly if you need it. Not a big deal, but good to know. Everything about the meal was great except for the air conditioning -- it was way too cold inside. I found myself rushing through the meal just because of the temperature. Even after we finished eating for over 15 minutes, nobody came to check up on us. I walked up to them to ask for the check and togo box, but they never ended up giving us the check. I had to go up to them again a second time after 10 mins. They seemed to be attentive and helping the customers who were seated closer in the restaurant, but since we were at the farthest end table in the walkway we were completely neglected by the severs. On top of that, there's bogo free for their main noodles until 11/26, but the one of the workers tried to charge us full price too. I had to bring it up to her before she fixed it. Really yummy! I got the Prawn and Chicken Wonton Noodle. I like how shrimp flavored the broth was, and slightly creamy. You can choose between wide and thin noodle, which I liked that you have the option. Great and fast service. read more

My favorite ramen place opened at Americana! I love love le shrimp for their unique broths. Came here during soft opening and decided to switch things up and tried their new Hainan chicken dish and it was so delicious. The chicken was very soft and goes very well with the sauces. TL;DR: very unique, extremely flavorful and umami-filled extreme shrimp broth with delicious noodles. Great for shrimp lovers but could be a little too rich for some! AMBIANCE: Some reviews are saying this is a "hole in the wall" but I wouldn't call this a hole in the wall. It's a fancy looking interior and could be appropriate for a first date, even, in my opinion (so I'm not sure what kinds of hole in the walls you're going to! Lol). It's off of the main street, where the OLD Din Tai Fung used to be, on the outside of the Americana. PARKING: Parking isn't exclusively available for Le Shrimp, so I tend to park at the Glendale Galleria parking lot B near In N Out, since it's free there. Then it's a short walk. You could also park at the Americana but I actually think it would be a farther walk and might have a charge. SERVICE: I went when it first opened so I could tell they hadn't totally figured out the service there because they were pretty swamped with customers and the kitchen seemed to run slow. That means the food was likely made to order, but I hope that with more time their service would improve. FOOD: However, due to the uniqueness of the broth, that's where the 5 stars comes in! The Signature Trio Noodle is delicious. It has shrimp, shrimp balls, and wonton. Plenty of meat and noodles in the bowl. The shrimp was probably some of the best prepared shrimp I've had, especially in a soup. It had a great texture that was fully cooked but not mushy. The broth is the star of the show with its strong shrimp umami flavor! However, as the meal goes on, the broth could get a bit salty and a little too strong. It's definitely great for shrimp lovers but if you aren't into that, you might want to get a soup with a chicken broth instead. The taco was a good appetizer, though it was a bit small. It had a great crunch and balance of flavor! The hainan chicken wasn't bad either! I've had some really good hainan chicken in Singapore and while I wouldn't say this is as good as that, it's definitely solid if you're craving Hainan chicken. Food is great, however, I think the servers need more training. Don't get me wrong they are nice, but there's something missing. The guy speaks so soft but very respectful. The girl on the other hand feels like a strong personality but nice. The thai chili sauce took a long time because they said they cannot find it?! I asked the girl something and she said she will follow up, but she never got back to me and I never ask again. Ambiance is okay. Clean. You need to use the restroom of the paradise dynasty (their sister company) just beside them. Waiting is not that bad. You have to join the waitlist in their tablet and list your name outside. Nice option for a ramen alternative in Glendale where there aren't too many standout ramen shops nearby since Tsujita closed up at Americana years ago. First impression: the broth is very shrimp-forward compared to more traditional ramen broths. Pretty tasty but probably not the healthiest if you want to drink every last drop. Also includes three tail-on shrimp, two shrimp balls, and a shrimp wonton, as well as some bits of grilled cabbage for balance. So yes, this is a very shrimpy dish if you love shrimp. Took advantage of their deal on DineLA. Casual dining spot physically connected to the parent Paradise Dynasty but completely separate service. The gentleman who waited on me was very friendly and helpful. I had the Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls and Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle. The spring rolls were quite good, perfectly browned and crispy with an adequate amount of vegetable that still held their integrity. The dipping sauce was thankfully not overly sweet. At most restaurants, I skip the sweet chili sauce because it's too sweet. The noodle dish was interesting. You absolutely must be a fan of shrimp/seafood as the broth strongly carries such flavor. It was more oily than I like si it had a mouth-coating feel. You get everything listed but it won't quite look like the picture. The cabbage was cut into very small pieces and extensively cooked so they were rather mushy. The noodles are obviously par-cooked then finished off in very hot broth but mine held together like a brick even after 5 minutes (see pic) and I had to work to break it up. Everything else was cooked well and I rather enjoyed it. I liked the wonton a lot and wish there were more than one. The spixe-heat level was good for me but would be too hot for my mom and some friends so be wary. It's a good spot for quick service for not a lot of money. Other reviewers have had some vastly different experiences and I can see that with a newly opened business but this is a franchise that trained its employees at other running locations so it should be consistently better.
